Let me start by saying, Sammy is the absolute best…read more I am so happy to have found a local tile and flooring store so close to home, and one that offers such great service and pricing. We stopped in last minute, as we needed some entryway tiling for a job that was supposed to be hardwood. Turns out that the flooring we ran throughout our house was just not a good fit for the space. The problem was that our contractor* demanded we have tile ready in a day or two. Totally realistic right? Enter All American Flooring. Not only did Sammy get what we were going through, he was down to earth and helped us pick just the right entryway tile we wanted for the landing. He helped us lay out around 10 samples on the ground, and its funny, what we went with was not at all what I was thinking we would get. I happy with Sammy's suggestion and the final product; Italian porcelain with slight grey undertones and it sparkles gently when light hits it. In other words, its strong, it looks friggin cool, and the sparkles make my player two super happy. Best of all, the process couldn't have been more than 30 min, and our tile was ready for pickup 2 days later. If you're looking for tile, carpet, any kind of flooring at all, All American is your place. Say hey to Sammy, and trust what he has to say. ______ *Don't even get me started, omg what a nightmare

Grout Pros NYC - The completed job with finishing touches

    Grout Pros NYC

If you are lucky enough to have landed on Grout Pros' NYC Google listing, please do yourself an…read moreimmediate favor: stop stressing, end the analysis paralysis, step out of the panic loop and contact Elizabeth and Daniel ASAP. The universe is positively intervening in a way you cannot even fathom right now. I say this because I was YOU less than 48 hours ago. My nightmare started when I hired a "contractor" through TaskRabbit with 600+ five-star reviews to fix and paint a peeling bathroom window along with some regrout touch-ups. Straightforward, right? Well, on Day 2 at 6pm on a Thursday, less than 72 hours before my guest's early Sunday arrival, he scurried away mid-job and left the window's wood and metal frame in worse condition than when he started. He used a chemical paint remover that compromised the surface, then left when things got complicated. No referral. Just a "sorry" and out the door. Now I had less time, a worse problem, and no clear path forward. Enter NYC Grout Pros. Elizabeth initially told me they were booked until Monday, which I understood, but once she heard my timeline, she led with empathy and assured me she and Daniel would make Friday work. It felt like a miracle! I went to sleep knowing I wasn't alone. Friday, Daniel arrives around 2:30pm, and what struck me immediately was how supported he was by his team. One of his colleagues--on THEIR day off--came by just to deliver tools and materials he'd need. That level of coordination and sacrifice, especially under pressure, is rare. What Daniel walked into was no longer simple. The wood had been compromised, sanding was difficult, and the timeline ruled out conventional approaches. He assessed everything calmly and made a critical call--the current path wouldn't get this done in time. At 5pm on a Friday, without hesitation, he drove nearly two hours through West Village traffic to his shop in Westchester to custom cut wood for my window and source the right materials to actually solve the problem--not just patch it. He then drove back into Manhattan, arriving around 8:30pm, and worked until 11:30pm. And, true to his word--came back by 10am the next morning, on a Saturday--HIS day off--and a day where he had meaningful personal commitments, and still worked until everything was completed to the highest standard. The Result: the window was fully repaired, the grout issues were smoothed out, and the bathroom was spotless/usable. I was able to keep my promises to my guest because of Daniel. But what impressed me most is who Daniel is as a person. He is not only exceptional in his craft--he is an even more exceptional human being. I was under pressure. I had already lost time and money. I was dealing with someone else's poor judgment. And Daniel kept reassuring me: he was on my side, he wouldn't abandon the project, and he would get it done. Although I was a complete stranger--one of millions of people in NYC--he treated me like a longtime friend he was willing to move mountains for. And boy did he. He never made me feel like a burden or like he'd been stuck with a bad job. There was also a generosity of spirit that permeated his work. My partner had ?'s about installing new flushmounts, and Daniel took the time to coach him through an example so we'd feel confident doing it ourselves. One micro-moment spoke volumes. After hours of driving and working late, he still cleaned thoroughly--bathroom spotless, tools neatly placed. As we walked out, he noticed dust from his boots in the hallway and instinctively dropped down to clean it, saying he didn't want to leave the building that way. That level of care--at the very end of a long day--is not something you can fake. I also appreciated how highly he spoke of his team, especially Elizabeth. It's clear they are a close, experienced group that genuinely support one another--and it shows. What they did for me went far beyond fixing a window. Hearing "I got you" felt like 1000 pounds lifted off my shoulders--I've found my dream creative partners and I know I can trust them with any project moving forward! And so should you!

We had a minor miscommunication on color and they fixed it without issue. It came off a few days ago. We had a warranty for ONE YEAR I think it was. We called them hoping they might fix it. Different people showed up. They had their equipment went into the bathroom and called their boss. Their boss told them it was not their responsibility. So my husband got on the phone and asked if they could fix it. They said no after having told us on the phone that they could. He asked could you at least fix it for a price? The person on the phone was not interested in helping and was going to charge half of the entire bathroom cost to fix the soap dish. She obviously did not want our business because as my husband was trying to resolve this she put him on hold , the 2 workers who had her on the other line walked out. Very unprofessional. (it was not their fault it was the person on the phone giving them directions) I do not understand what went wrong. My husband was kind and courteous and just wanted to resolve the issue. She was ONLY interested in money. He did say it was a different person who he spoke to this time. So I guess it is all in who you deal with. But if a business is not consistent, I personally would not use them again. 3 stars for the first job which was in June. But it was not complete other wise it would not have fallen apart so easily. Also they did not want to honor their own warranty or even keep our business after having paid in full in cash and also after having given the original worker a generous tip. They just threw away not only a good customer but also we live in a community with many buildings where we could refer them to other customers. There was no reason for this! This was very short sighted of them and unprofessional.
