We stumbled upon this coffee shop on our way to Susanville and were instantly drawn in by its unique shape. Inside, it feels like a hidden gem, decorated like an art gallery with amazing local items from talented artists available for purchase. The coffee is delicious and well-priced; I had an Americano that was impressively smooth, and the spiced dirty chai was full of flavor. Total for my order was $14, and it felt completely worth it. There is also a drive thru. One of the owners shared the story behind the shop and offered fantastic customer service. This is a perfect spot to unwind, enjoy the creative, welcoming vibe. Caramel blended coffee is my favorite!! Usually the same super nice man that's been here for years!! He's always here! This place has some local artisans that sell their art inside the shop. Some cool photography prints and handmade jewelry. I usually use the drive thru so I don't have to get out on my way to Plumas County from Reno. read more

Ok so it's nice that there is a coffee shop leaving susanville. They don't have matcha. They don't have simple syrup. And they charged me an xtra 25 cents for using my debit card and didn't tell me. There is a sign saying they charge credit cards but I didn't realize debit too. Idk just not great policy and doesn't have what you would expect a normal coffee shop would have. Kinda mid. read more

Good place for coffee on our route from Eugene to/from Reno. We stop here every time for caffeine and a bathroom break. It is right off the main road and it is rarely busy when we come in early afternoon. We always get an iced Americano with cream and caramel. They have some local items for sale in the store and we briefly peruse but never purchase. I always appreciate the opportunity to support local in small towns. read more

This place is awesome, I can't believe we have such a great little spot in the tiny town of Janesville. Aside from good drinks and pastries there are so many local artists represented so you have plenty to look at and maybe pick out a gift for a friend, and beautiful pieces of custom furniture. Outside in the summer there are plants and a seating area with a sun shade and sometimes even a hammock. The internet is usually pretty solid and I love coming here to work. read more

You will be amazed at the eclectic and colorful talent display throughout the coffee house. I enjoy sitting outside with an iced spiced chi on the patio looking up at Thompson Peak. This is a true blue, real deal Coffee House! Now a days any place that sells coffee calls itself a coffee house, but to me most are missing some key essentials. This place is my ideal coffee house. There are different seating areas (some with bar height tables, some with couches), table games to share, performance announcements, locally made art decorating the walls & hand made pottery & jewelry for show & sale. They also have a guitar in the corner (I didn't ask if anyone could strum it, lol) & some little hand drums, lol. So the ambiance is truly conducive for getting together & sharing. To drink they have smoothies, coffee, caramel apple cider & some interesting looking juices. I had a smoothie that tasted like an orange creamsicle. YUMMMM!!! I had high hopes after reading other reviews but sadly I had a rather disappointing experience. The decor is great, inside and out, cool little trinkets everywhere and neat seating areas outside, they've got that dialed! Things went a bit south with customer service, the two guys working were both quite cold and unwelcoming, it seemed like they didn't want to be there. A bit of a bummer, but I was excited for my hot chocolate, which I had been told was a cocoa mix (me thinking housemade from cocoa, sugar, etc). Unfortunately, cocoa mix was literally Swiss Miss, pretty lame for a coffee shop. Hopefully this review helps guide some slight changes to Artisan for the future, they've got part of the formula, just need to fix the rest! :) read more

As a local, I get coffee here frequently. They make great hot chocolate for my kids and the friendly barista, Kora, recommended a great Iced Americana with cream for me when I wanted to try something new. We frequently exchange books at the little free library on the exterior wall. We also enjoy parking at Artisan's and walking across the little foot bridge to the park to enjoy some playtime. I practically live in this coffee house. The owners, Austin and Adam, are not only good at brewing coffee and making breakfast wraps, they also make us regulars feel welcomed. They are both artists in their own right as wood workers, so they walk the walk when it comes to artistic appreciation. They are constantly improving and changing their place. Murals, art shows, ice cream for the summer, ect..... Their drive thru is very convenient, but the inside of the coffee house is a treat in itself. read more

The coffee here is off the hook! If you're driving up or down the 395 do not pass by this gem to drink from the nasty green mermaids cup in susanville or Reno. I've tried all the coffee shops in susanville and many in Reno but Janesville is the spot! My parents live in this blip of a town and when my husband and I head up their way we get super excited knowing we'll get a few smokey delicious cups of coffee perfection. The reason it's so unique is because the beans are fire roasted. They know how to make a solid latte and cappuccino. So if you're tired and need a pick me up swing by this gem.
