We are currently building a shop and Siegel has been top notch for all the concrete work that has…read morebeen done!! Our contractor uses them as a sub-contractor and we couldn't be happier. Three steps to getting a foundation poured and the crew has been been here early and stayed late when necessary. They've all been extremely cordial and from what we witnessed, hard working! We tried not to interrupt them too much, but when we get home and see such progress, we can't help but watch and have smiles from ear to ear! We are quick to always thank them and the crew has never hesitated to give us an update on where they are or what they'll be doing next! We had some friends drop by when we weren't home and they didn't hesitate to let them be funny by grabbing ahold of tools to take pics and send to us. They've accomplished our pour ahead of schedule and we couldn't be happier! If you're in the need of concrete work, I would highly recommend giving them a call!

Working with Paula & Robert from CMM General Contractors has made our project easy and stress free…read more Having built with them in the past and also a different builder for our current home, it reiterates why we chose them again to build our shop!!! We thought we were going to build in the summer of 2018, but after a couple meetings, we decided to wait one more year. While still a few months away from spring, we started getting together to go over our plans, get quotes and sign our contract. We were kept in the loop constantly and they stayed right on track with their timing. They worked with us from the beginning, allowing us to be part of the project, along with doing some of the work ourselves. Robert stands behind the houses and shops he's built like none other! Post earthquake 2018, Robert was in touch with every home owner for homes he has built within the last 20+ years and took care of everyone that had any troubles. It was absolutely incredible! That's the type of service that gets people coming back again and again! Working with them has been wonderful and has built a friendship to boot! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CMM to build your next incredible home or shop!

Scheduled a service call through my home warranty (HSA) after what appeared to be a power surge…read morethat damaged multiple items and systems in my home. The issues included non-functioning switches (fireplace, Venmar air exchange system, bathroom), a new fan and fire alarm needing installation, and several appliances and tools that failed at the same time. I clearly explained these concerns when the appointment was set. The technician (Scott from A1) arrived about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, before I was home. My wife was there, but the scope of the visit had already been documented with the warranty company. During the visit, only one issue was addressed--a worn bathroom switch, which was replaced quickly. The other requested items (fan installation, fire alarm installation, and diagnosis of the fireplace and air exchange system) were not completed or meaningfully evaluated. The technician then left before I arrived. The report submitted to the warranty company indicated that no further work was needed. As a result, the primary issues that prompted the service call remain unresolved, and I no longer have a clear path through the warranty provider to have them addressed. If you're using a home warranty service for multiple or complex electrical issues, I would recommend confirming in advance that the technician has reviewed the full scope of work and will stay to complete or properly diagnose each item.

My interactions with Alaska Restoration, Remodel & Roofing (AR3) during the planning stages of my…read moreproject were excellent and their focus on customer service and satisfaction continued throughout the project. AR3 improved my old cabin's appearance and also greatly improved the insulation value, sound proofing, and even the structural integrity (very timely given our recent ferocious Alaskan winds). The management and work crew were pleasant and professional, respectful of my space and belongings, tidy, and very customer responsive. The quality of the work was top notch. Even the smallest task was done with a 100% focus on doing it right. I highly recommend AR3 to everyone who has a home improvement project or a build-from-scratch project. This old cabin has a lot of imperfections to begin with, but the work that AR3 did inside and outside of its walls definitely IS perfect.

Dave is great in a bunch of ways. First, he's extremely competent. He'll do a great job. Second, he…read morehas some brains and understands what you're trying to do. He will work with you and make reasonable and good suggestions. Third, he will save you money. Lots and lots of money. We had an old water heater that went out, which was a real problem because we have baseboard heat. So, we really needed a water heater. We had a quote from our heating company and Dave said he could beat the quote. He got us a continual hot water heater, installed, for about $4K less than what we had been quoted. Work was top notch. We have hired Dave for several projects, not the least of which was replacing the hot water heater. A major project was renovating our garage. His work was great but a lot of it was during the winter, which meant that there were a number of people who were calling about heaters and issues with their house affected by the cold. When we needed a hot water heater, our work went to the top of the list. When it's January and some of the garage needs to be finished, work for others that is really important in the Alaska winter (like water heaters and other issues) went to the top of the list. I suppose I could bitch about that but I also recognize that the time line of my garage being finished isn't a matter of life and death. Fixing someone's heat or hot water or other matters can be life or death in an Alaska winter. I figure it's better to have a really competent handy man with a conscience than making sure my garage is his A#1 priority. So when his timeline for finishing our garage gets delayed because he's fixing the heat on an elderly couple's house, I don't worry. All in all, Dave's done excellent work. He's also been completely up front and 100% honest and done a great job. I've recommended him to friends of ours who are older and need real help because I know he will do a competent job and be honest about his services. That is, I know he will do a good job and I don't have to worry about him overcharging them. My wife and I are already discussing our next projects with him. I don't know if I can give a higher recommendation than that.
