As a Real Estate Agent and Property Investor/Flipper, I work with similar businesses almost daily. I primarily work in the Anchorage and Eagle River area and so when buying a home at auction in Wasilla, I was left with less resources and decided to give this company a try. NEVER IN MY 27 YEARS OF REAL ESTATE DEALINGS HAVE I EVER EXPERIENCED THE CRAZY THAT I ENDURED WITH THIS OWNER!!!!!! I stopped in a number of times in order to gather bids for counter-tops and cabinets. The gal working the front desk was new and alone almost every time I visited. She did not seem to have her bearings about her and was left to fly blind with no help. After bringing in specs, measurements and selecting several products to request pricing - and never receiving them, I gave up for a few months until finding a listing on Facebook Marketplace for counter-tops from Amanda Steward (She and her husband James own the company) I had met Amanda once in the store and she was very dismissive and rude but, I reached out to her for information about the materials she was selling. Again, I did not receive the info I had requested other than that I would need to stop by - so, I did, again. While there I met her husband Jim. Now, I will say that he was ON IT. He had her get me the bids I had been requesting for months, in the matter of an hour. Back on track, I'm starting to like these people. I meet with Jim again to go over color selections and discuss materials - again, he was awesome. Very personable, we chatted and learned that my Financial Investor whom I borrow funds from in order to pay cash for properties, was a friend of a friend. He sent me home with some sample selections and made some great suggestions about how I could shave costs as I was getting close to being over budget. I was so thrilled with the help, I offered him my next project with a much greater budget and two kitchens to complete with $35,000 available to each unit. At this point my current project had gone from Quartz tops to Formica and already having an installer, he cautioned that if they cut the pieces with my measurements they would not guarantee them. Thus, I took him up on their company taking measurements giving them the access code to my keybox. Have you ever been to a construction site or remodel? Apparently, Amanda has not. When I arrived to the project the next day the samples were gone and within two hours my banker was phoning me having a panic attack as Amanda - whom was hired for a whopping $35 to come take measurements for KITCHEN counter-tops, felt it her duty to walk through THE ENTIRE HOUSE taking photos of sheetrock dust on the floor of one of the bedrooms which had just had a wall added, cabinet doors that had just been installed and not yet adjusted, tile work in the master shower not yet complete and a farmers sink on the counter that had yet to be fitted to the cabinets, areas where door trim had not yet been added and so on. She then hunted my banker down (she could have only known the name via Jim from our conversation) on Facebook (someone I've had a business and personal relationship with for over 20 years) and sent him these photos with a detailed report of all of the things she thought didn't look good - cautioning him that this property was not going to sell and he was going to lose money. I AM SIMPLY SO BLOWN AWAY BY THE AUDACITY....... That this happened in October of 2019 and I am just now getting around to writing this review end of May 2020 because I'm still so pissed. Not only will this company NEVER see a dime from me, but I will caution every client I have to never use them and every client of my bankers, whom I frequently assist him with. BY THE WAY, THE PROPERTY SOLD WITH A FULL PRICE OFFER THE FIRST DAY I PUT IT ON THE MARKET. read more
