I need to give a massive shoutout to Sav-On Flooring in Wailla. I'm a recent widow and I needed floor repair work to be done on a unit I'm trying to rent out. One contractor recommended that I replace the carpet to do the repair work and I about cried my eyes out. I called Dalton at Sav-On Flooring and he hooked me up with the right installer and Vladimir with Flooring View not only got the repair done in about 2 hrs, he reused my carpet saving me $100s. Now I could cry with joy knowing there are good people out there doing honest work. From here on out I will only work with Sav-On Flooring and Vladimir! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to take care of any of your flooring needs. read more

Hands-down the best prices in Alaska. I have been searching for a quality hardwood that can withstand the Winters here in Alaska. First I went to a local source: Kozy Interiors. For the hardwood I was interested in, it was going for $9.19 /square foot. I spoke to a Sales Rep at SBS and they quoted me $7.00/ square foot for the same flooring. Dalton slashed that price and I was able to stay with-in my budget. I enjoy working with Dalton as he is serious and energetic about getting the best price in town. Thank You Sav-On flooring for your assistance with my home remodeling projects. I would recommend Sav-On flooring and will be back for a few more projects. Thanks again for all you do. read more

We decided it was time to remove our carpet and install new flooring. After reviewing our options, we decided to go with Sav-On Flooring based on the variety of options combined with the agreeable final cost. There were a couple of hiccups during the shipping process, but the flooring arrived before the scheduled installation day. We're very satisfied with the final result. read more

Hands-down the best flooring company in Alaska. Locally owned and operated. The owner, Dalton, was overly fair and generous in his carpeting quote. As a small business whose quote and final price beat that of Home Depot and Lowes, I am fully aware that his pocket took a hit so that mine would not. That kind of generosity is rare to find! And his team of installers were not only professional, they were extremely talented, helpful, and kind. Even helped me put all my furniture back in place without even having to ask...just unbelievably awesome guys. I lived in NYC for many years and this is the kind of white glove, five star service I am used to..I could not be happier with the flooring results and the choice I made to call Sav-On Flooring here in Anchorage. read more

I cannot rate Sav-On high enough! From my initial call to the installer laying the last board, the service was excellent. Dalton & Roz were knowledgeable & friendly, I didn't feel pressured to buy but they gave me a lot of options. Our transaction first started with Sav-On Flooring April, 25 2016. Our first complaint, with attached photos was sent to Malorie June 28th, 2016. It is now October 10, 2016 and the job still remains unfinished. My husband and I bought our first home in May and chose Sav-on Flooring to replace all the flooring in our 2283sq foot house, costing close to $13,000.00. Our house was treated as a warehouse, cigarette butts left outside in our yard, feces left all over the bathroom toilet/toilet seat, prep work materials left on the walls, sinks and door knobs. My husband and I had offered our garage for the purpose of cutting wood, our entire garage was covered in saw dust which then was carried into our house and never cleaned up. Not only did they cut wood in our garage but they also cut wood inside our new house which left saw dust covering our new and very expensive furniture. We went through two sets of installers, both of which were never on time and had numerous times where they, would "no call/no show." My work schedule as a nurse is twelve hour shifts, a week on/week off. There were two times that I woke up one-two hours early just to have myself and our son prepped before the installers arrived. Both of those occasions, the installers never showed up. My husband and I are very reasonable people, but when these types of behavior become repetitive not only is it unprofessional but it is disrespectful. Malorie and Laura did their best in the beginning to fix this situation. In July we were beyond disappointed in the services provided by the second set of installers, we requested for Malorie as the store manager, to come to our house and view the areas of poor craftsmanship. This never happened, instead she wanted to refund us for a portion of the labor which is unacceptable. There are still areas in our house that have not been completed. Since Malorie's last email, we have received a quote from another flooring business in town who made us aware that the material in three out of the four bedrooms, the stairs and areas of the living room will not be salvageable. Hence, there is no other way of fixing them other than replacing everything. I am also going to point out that both of us work full time and are also students. I had to drop one of my classes this summer due to the extra unneeded time that was taken away from me to write emails to try and fix this flooring disaster. On top of this we have shared custody with our son. Making our time with him that much more irreplaceable. We chose to cancel two family camping trips this past summer because those times were more convenient for the installers. Unfortunately, both of those times the installers never showed up, as they promised they would. In the long run you will not be saving any money using this company. I hope this message will save other peoples time and money. read more
