I recently tried the croissant at Artisan Boulangerie in the Gare de Lyon neighborhood. Being my first in Paris, I had expectations, and while it was okay, it didn't blow me away. The exterior had a satisfying crispiness, but the inside was a tad denser than I prefer.
The cafe itself has a modest setup with a couple of tables inside and outside, providing a casual setting. Its proximity to the train station is undoubtedly convenient, and it's just around the corner from the Courtyard by Marriott.
If you're in need of a quick bite before catching a train, Artisan Boulangerie could fit the bill, but for a truly exceptional croissant experience, you might want to explore other options in the city.
