AGL was great from the moment I contacted them about installing turf for my yard. I initially emailed them about used turf and then went in to see their stock. I ended up going with new turf since it will be primarily used for my pets. AGL was very accommodating and helpful through the entire process and helped me figure out how to install the turf myself to save some money. I highly recommend AGL. One thing that was annoying is that they said they would offer a rebate after install per square footage. When I called to collect they never returned my calls. The job was small so it was only a 30$ rebate so I didn't care to keep trying. If the job were bigger I would have pushed harder. Overall, I had a good experience. read more

After my installation, the worker told me someone would be back the next morning to glue down a significant portion they could not nail down. No one showed up and now no one returns my calls. They've been paid, so no incentive for AGL to send someone finish the job. After leaving several messages (and not getting called back once) , I got an answer at the store front. Very bad experience with their recycled turf option which basically came down to a lot of miscommunication on AGL and its sales rep's part. Needless to say, we felt ambitious about the prospect of installing this particular turf ourselves. My wife and I were told by AGL's sales rep that if we purchased the recycled turf, their delivery company would help us haul it back to our backyard and put it in place. We explained that there was only a 5foot wide walkway to the backyard, however the sales rep assured us that "they had their ways" to get it back there for us. So we were pretty excited and made the purchase. Incident #1: we took off work to have the grass delivered to us on a Monday by noon (they don't deliver on weekends).Their delivery company called us at 9am confirming they were on time, then called back at 10am saying they had a family emergency and they were unable to make the delivery. AGL told us, sorry but they outsource the delivery so we would have to figure it out with them. Fine. We understood family emergencies come up, so we rescheduled for the next Monday. Incident #2: we took off work again. The delivery company comes out on time, but show up with two people total and tell us "here it is, how do YOU plan on getting it off our truck?" (Each roll weighs about 1200lbs, and there were 4 rolls) I explained that AGL told us that delivery was going to help bring it to the backyard for us. They basically told us no way, we would need to call some neighbors and get another truck to help get it to the backyard. After a conversation with AGL sales rep and a long wait to figure out what they were going to do, we decided to send the order back. Incident #3: the AGL sales rep (who I am purposefully keeping nameless here) told us he wasn't sure if we could get a full refund and it would have to go through his management. I had to call back twice and we waited over a week before AGL decided to refund the order. NO apology was made other than a "sorry for the inconvenience" over the phone. No attempt was made to discount a future order for our work-related losses. Nothing. read more

I originally gave 5 stars, everything was fine until delivery. So I am editing this review to reflect the poor customer service during delivery. I was told that I would receive a phone call the morning of the scheduled delivery, and that phone call would let me know the window time of delivery. I was then told that they would call or text me when they were 30 min. away from my house. NONE of this happened, I happen to get up at 6am the morning of delivery to use the restroom which is at the front of my house and I heard a trucking backing up into my driveway, so I ran outside and found only one guy making the delivery on a flatbed truck and he had backed into my driveway and was simply rolling my 3 thousand dollars worth of turf onto my driveway along with the adhesive, tape and spikes. Then when he left there was nice large puddles of motor oil left to stain my driveway from their truck. I called the AGL office in Wildomar to speak with my sales associate Cody, he was not there so I spoke with the person that answered the phone and explained the situation. He said that was not supposed to happen that way, the delivery is supposed to be "curbside" so that they don't have issues of leaky trucks spilling oil in your driveway. And if it's supposed to be curbside than they should have the customer home and outside to accept the delivery. Otherwise all that expensive turf would have been rolled off and left on the sidewalk for someone to steal. I asked this person to have Cody call me and of course no one ever did. I guess the stellar customer service ends when the money you paid clears their account. I guess I won't ever return to AGL for my turn needs. read more

I purchased new marathon turf. It's pretty good quality, feels nice under your toes :) it's a nice substitute for real grass. It is a very popular turf so it does require some patience if they don't have it in stock. I purchased over the phone and their rep was helpful and courteous. The hiccup that occurred for me: I called the day my order was suppose to be in and asked if it was ready. I was told it was. Two days later, I rented a truck. Unfortunately, when i arrived they didn't have my product in stock anymore. They were apologetic and offered to reimburse my truck rental fee, which was fine with me. So, in essence. The quality of turf is great, service is courteous, if your purchasing marathon turf be prepared to possibly wait and be sure to call day of to see if your order is ready for pick up. read more

I just left the Artificial Grass Liquidators facility in Murrieta, CA. They also do business at other locations and are also known as Artificial Grass & Hardscape Liquidators of Temecula. A week ago my husband and I stopped at the Murrieta facility and purchased a fairly large amount of artificial grass. We were told by the salesperson, after seeing what we were driving, that they could load it into our SUV for us to take with us. However, as we had quite a bit of other things in the vehicle, we elected to return the following week to pick up our purchase. Today we telephoned in advance to say we were coming up to get it. We drove the 45 minutes (with gas over $4.00/gallon.......) and the salesperson let someone know we were there for the pickup. A boy came in and the salesperson reminded him that we had asked that the piece of grass be cut into two equal pieces. (We had requested that when we made the purchase a week before.) The boy - we weren't given his name but he appears to be about 17 or so - said he would roll it up. We mentioned that folding might be easier for loading but he said it had to be rolled. When he heard we were taking it in our SUV, he became derisive and rude and said it was too heavy and we couldn't do it. He suggested that they deliver it (for a price) or we return with a rented trailer. (NOTE: according to my search on Google, artificial grass weighs well under a pound per square foot. We were purchasing less than 500 square feet. Because we purchased used turf, we were told it could have "some infill" left in it. However, since infill is a loose substance, removing the turf from the original location, moving it, rolling, unrolling, cutting, and re-rolling the two pieces we wanted (240 square feet each), should have left little infill to add to the weight, substantially.) We have carried a 210 square foot piece of artificial grass in our SUV (folded) to a location about 100 miles away, with no problem. At worse, we should have been able to move these two pieces in two trips. When I asked this bad-mannered boy who he was that he would contradict the salesperson, and mistreat customers, he claimed to own the company. Perhaps he does, but it seems unlikely. If he is the owner, he should respect his customers. Instead he was abusive, and offensive and commanded the salesperson to refund our money. Frankly, as angry as he made me, I wanted the grass, not just a refund. I wanted a polite discussion of our options and an explanation of why he felt we couldn't carry the product in our SUV. He should have courteously clarified his concerns and helped us to understand his point of view. An apology for the salesperson's error in telling us that the SUV would be fine would have been appropriate and mollifying too. Instead all we got was nastiness and the attitude that we weren't worth 5 minutes of his time even though we saw no other customers there. Ironically, my sister, our son-in-law, and our neighbor are all looking for some artificial turf. I had told them of this company last week and all planned to check into it for their needs. Now, however, in less than five minutes, along with losing our business the company has lost these referrals and others they and we might make. Our recommendation to anyone considering a purchase from this company (from any of it's locations) is that they don't make that purchase. Or at least that they are extremely careful! Please note that the cost of this company's grass was exactly the same as we have found elsewhere. We didn't go to them because they were "a bargain". read more

If you value your time and or care for customer service do not shop here. Granted they will be very polite in the front in order to gain your business but customer service will soon lost once the order has been made. Myself and 2 other neighbor's share a front yard and needed 1800 sqr ft. They guaranteed this was not a problem so we paid 1500 and had to return to pick the grass up. Later that day we brought the grass home not thinking we had purchased unusable grass but this was the case. Once we opened the grass we found 25% of the grass was usable leaving 75% unsalvageable. Again when we returned the product we received a happy face and hand shake but horrible service to remedy the issue. We were sent out back to fend for ourselves fishing through endless roles of horrible grass chunks with 2ft lines end to end, 5ft marked numbers, We spent over 3 hrs in the heat and sun with little help to finally find a run that was obviously in the wrong spot because it was actual good quality. We decided we were burnt enough literally and called it quits for the day. The next day we returned for the remaining carpet and went out back after I expressed I did not want to search tirelessly through their junk piles and conveniently they had good usable grass in another location and they were NICE enough to give it to us for $231 more then we initially spent. An extra $231, sun burn, gas and 7hrs time wasted, what a small price to pay for the customer to say enough is enough. read more

Artificial turf looks amazing, only took 2 days to complete Job. Only issues were the sales person stated a credit score needed to qualify for 12 mos same as cash when we applied for financing my score was above what he stated I still qualified but they made me have a high monthly payment for some reason. And lastly one worker was caught urinating next to my pool equipment on camera, I called the project manager and he handled the situation. Overall the experience was ok and the grass is great took 2 stars away for the above issues or it would have been 5 stars read more

Very happy with my experience here. I bought a roll of putting green turf, but not until after consultation with AGL about a DIY project. They were able to offer help (Mitch in particular) with advice and how-to instruction. I otherwise wouldn't have taken this on. I went into AGL last week looking for recycled turf to put into our 1,800 sq. ft. backyard and was met by Branden and Daniel. Both were very accommodating and helpful. We went in wanting the recycled turf with infill in it since it was the cheaper option. We were then warned about the extreme weight of each roll, approx. 2,000 lbs., and that it would be very difficult to transport and place. At first I thought this was a marketing ploy to spend more but after reading reviews of people who bought the recycled turf with infill I am happy that Daniel warned us otherwise. We would have had to get about 6 strong people just to lift the roll itself! Reading many reviews on how difficult it was for others to unload, carry, and place the infilled turf I am happy we didn't go that route. We chose to get the recycled turf without infill and delivery was a breeze, albeit they were about an hour late, it was a relatively quick process. Daniel was very knowledgable and honest with us. He genuinely wanted us to get the best deal we could get and the most for our money. We have yet to complete the placement of our turf but we are very pleased with the service we received at AGL. read more

For now I am giving this a two star. I have been trying to hold off on writing this but tonight is my night for my yelp submissions. Originally things were going smooth and I was so excited to have my yard done. I live in a HOA community and I am the first to have my artificial turf and flagstone walkway approved. Cody originally came out for the quote. He seemed to be so knowledgable. It took time getting the yard approved, after a few months it was finally done. During those months Cody had no problem texting me to ask me if I was ready to move forward. When we decided to I asked him to come back out to the yard just to make sure we were good. He made it sound stress free. Everything would be completed so easily and I could sit back and enjoy someone else doing the job for me. Unfortunately this was not the case. My contract didn't match my final sketch of the yard. The contractors that came out didn't have a clear explanation of what was going on. They had brought the wrong material which wasn't there fault. The entire time Raul and his crew were amazing, Friendly and the turf installation looks fabulous. However, the flagstone walkway they did looks like a three year old did it. I am not even kidding. I don't want to ruin this companies rep so I won't post any pics at this time. Scott the GM came out to look at it and agreed with me. He has done what he could to make this right so I appreciate that. No money was offered to be taken off even with the amount of time I have had to be home and make sure things are done properly. Also because my hose spickett is inside the garage and I didn't want to leave it open all day without being home. Needless to say Scott rescheduled to have another contractor come out and fix the area that looks so bad. Its pretty embarrassing too, my house is the first house when you drive in our community. Everyone sees it and I am sure they are all saying how beautiful the turf is but what the heck is with that flagstone area. I am looking forward to having my yard completed and properly. My suggestion is, if you have a quote done make sure you aren't getting Cody. For my experience he offered things he doesn't write down, he writes up the contract incorrectly, and make sure you watch them when it comes to measurement. If you can look past all of that, the turf work that was completed is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Raul for completely this so beautifully, stick with turf and stay away from flagstone. read more

I purchased the recycled turf to do two 600 sg ft areas, one in the front and 1 in the back. I was shown one of the rolls and was told this is what all 3 of my rolls would look like. When It came time to install the turf, I was given 3 different rolls and 2 of the rolls dont match up to cover a 600 sq ft area and the other 600 sq ft area I wasn't given enough turf to cover 600 sq ft. I called to tell them about everthing that went wrong and that I wasn't even given what I bought or enough. I was told he needed to speak to a manager and I would be called back the next day. I was never called back so I called and was told he was out to lunch and I would receive a call when he returned. I never received a cal back so, I called the following day and asked about not given a call back and he transferred me to a manager. I explained the entire situation and was told they would try to help. I was told they would give me some additional turf( which doesn't match either), I was told I would be given infill(they gave me the infill with rubber in it that is for stadiums and that is toxic to dogs which I already told them I had). I returned the toxic infill and was given three 50 lb bags( covers nothing). I was told I could cut out where my turf had marker lines and seam together. If I cut out the seamed lines of 1 of the pieces that doesn't match the other peice I will have 4 seams on 1 peice of turf. I was told if I had someone who knew what they are doing none of the seams would show( which I do). I resonded with I wasn't suppose to have been given this turf in the 1st place and if I had been given the turf I was shown I would have only 1 line every 20 feet. I was told the infill wouild help cover the seam lines that didn't match up. The infill did nothing what so ever the seam line is just as visible and looks terrible!!!!! I had to make my front 600 sq ft area smaller becuase I wasn't given enough turf to cover 600 sq ft( which I paid for). I hate the way my turf looks in the back because nothing matches up and would never recommend buying recycled turf from AGL unless you look at all the rolls 1st. I will be ripping out 600 sq ft and buying new turf elsewhere. read more

We saw an advertisement in theHomeMag. The photo said "this is recycled turf. Can you tell" We decided to check out their showroom to see what they were offering. The guy showed us the recycled turf and it looked pretty good so we went ahead and ordered 900 sq ft. The guys in the showroom are helpful HOWEVER what we received was definitely not what was shown to us originally. Here we thought we were saving water, money, and the earth by using recycled turf. The turf we got is basically used, ripped off of a sports field. It even still has the colored lines red and white. So I have to ask myself, why it's not just sold honestly as used. The word recycle denotes the breakdown of one product, to either form another product or the same product, but without having to use fresh raw materials. This was not the case here. I would definitely recommend people be wary and cautious with this in the future. Dont get me wrong, you do get what you paid for, but this purchase wouldn't have been made if they had told us it was used, which is exactly what it is. And fyi, we were told to just spray paint the lines away, as if that would actually look good as matching the used turf peices is almost impossible unless you spray the entire thing, and getting down into the bright white plastic grass peices is nearly hours upon hours of a task in itself... read more

I was promised the quote the very next day and then I had to hound the salesman for it~then he gets irritated with me for bothering him 2) at almost the completion of the job they ran 165 sq feet short and I had to cough up 418 bucks to finish it 3) the rebate program wanted a Paid IN FULL from everyone involved. I had to go through AGL to request one from the installer and never received that either. Promised the same day. No..I would never recommend them to anyone although Kaylee at the front desk knows her stuff and was great to work with. read more

Terrible, first they have no inventory to chose from. Second, they don't even know what they have. When you ask what the manufacturer is of the closeouts they have, that they say are last years turf (his words were, like nordstrom rack) they cant tell you. Hmm, when I go to nordstrrom rack the items do have labels and you do know what you are purchasing. Sounds to me like closeout may be an off brand from China or something like that, which will fall apart in a year. Don't waste your time, I have now taken a trip down there, then waited a week for a call back, with me calling everyday to speak with the rep, and finally getting one who could not help me at all. read more

We scheduled our install of artificial grass in September 2015. At the time of this review, it is June 2016 and our job has still not been completed. We dealt with Kyle and Michelle, who had Raul and his men come and install the grass. It took Raul and his men six days to compete the install- when they bothered to show up. Often they would arrive at 11 am and leave by 3 pm. Trash was left everywhere after their "work" was done each day- which i had to personally clean up. There was no detail or pride in their work and when I contacted Kyle, Michelle, or Raul about a problem they would all once back blame between the three. Accountability and exceptional work is not something this company provides. They have been scheduled numerous times to come and complete the job and they have failed to show up nine times total. Michelle or Kyle will not call to reschedule. They didn't believe that we paid for drip irrigation installation and didn't install any of it until we went in with our receipt! Once the installation of the drip was done, they didn't cover it up or dig a trench like we paid for. So we had to do that. This is all very typical of the quality of work they provide. No one I have come in contact with at AGL cares an iota about the job they do. Michelle is extremely unprofessional and dealing with her a nightmare. They also give our information on their customers- not just phone numbers, but names and personal addresses. A few months after most of the install was done, we had a man show up at our door and want to see our backyard. AGL gave our address out to this random man! So far since September, three people have showed up unannounced to see the "install." Luckily, we have been very honest about the company and their work. Hopefully these people did not make the same mistake we did. After almost a year without any work being completed, we would pay double to have quality, professional work done. I honestly don't want anyone to have to go through what we have with this company. We paid way too much for an uncompleted job. read more
