Great service! We stopped on the way to Raymond and it was great! Roy was the sweetest!

Great bar atmosphere with outstanding home-cooked style grub and a nice beer selection.

Drove past this place a hundred times on way to and from Raymond, decided to stop in, great atmosphere and good cold beer. Even let me charge my car for free. Glad I stopped

It's a once a year favorite stop of mine coming from the coast. I've been doing that for over fifteen years. Good food and friendly staff.

It's not big...less than a dozen tables inside, there is outdoor seating, and when the weather is nice I bet it's a great place to be on a warm summer evening. Right on the water, with views of the boats. Ilwaco itself is a bit of a dungy town, but this place offers some delicious dishes, and the ambience is cozy, & romantic. We were immediately seated, as we were the only ones at the restaurant on this cold, wet PNW day. We both ordered a cup of their crab bisque. Delicious. It really hit the spot, and warmed up our cold bones. What I really liked about it was it wasn't too salty! Both my husband and I added a bit of salt and that elevated the flavor, but I liked that the chef didn't over salt it, and gave me the choice of how much sodium I wanted to add. My husband wished he had ordered a bowl. It is delightful, flavorful and a decent amount of crab in it, as well. (I enjoyed it so much, I forgot to take a picture of it!!) The chef really knows his stuff and has a great flavor profile on the menu. My husband ordered the Helm Burger with tots. He gave them two thumbs up. The burger patty looked fresh homemade, as opposed to frozen bought at Costco. It was a decent size, & thick and juicy. With the addition of bacon to it, he was greatly satisfied. I ordered the Deckhand. Let me tell you, this was a delicious sandwich! The pork is tender and juicy, the sauce is sweet but not overly so. The picked added a wonderful crispy texture along with the sweetness of the caramelized onions....it was a tastebud explosion. So good. And so filling. I had to take 1/2 home and was a bit annoyed when I found my husband ate it the next day for lunch! I guess that just means I'll have to go back sooner than later to order it again. I'd like to also mention that the tater tots were perfectly fried and crispy! The waitress from friendly and attentive and the chef was sweet and so pleased with our compliments. Don't wait a moment longer. Get yourself to Ilwaco and check this gem of a place out! You won't be disappointed.

On our way back north, we stopped by Mount Olympus Brewery. It was quite quiet, especially since it was a Sunday and not many people were there. We were just me and two other friends, so we decided to sit at the bar and have a few drinks. The place was fairly quiet, and they had a TV in the bar area, which was pretty cool. We ended up watching the NBA Finals game seven. The servers were amazing--down-to-earth, very personable, and they made us feel very welcome. Maybe because it wasn't that many people there, but anyway, I don't think that was an issue. There were great people there. They had plenty of options on draft and bottled/ canned , but I sampled two stouts on draft. The one that I liked the most was the Blood of Hades, which is a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that aged for 12 months. I really enjoy the flavors of bourbon, char, and chocolate, hence the vanilla, and combined with bursting flavors of cinnamon, spice, and dark chocolate. It's by far earned its place in my top 5% of styles that I've drunk in multiple regions. I should definitely return here in the near future and indulge some more because this place seems pretty cool. It's very quiet and peaceful. I recommend coming to Mount Olympus Brewery if ever in Aberdeen.

We looked up bars within walking distance of our hotel and saw this place. It felt like an adventure as this bar is in a residential neighborhood. We walk in and it's a dive bar in all the best ways as we had hoped. Everyday they have a drink special, Saturday being a duck fart. The bartender was super kind and was will to make me a special drink with blue curaçao-quite possibly the best I've ever had. They had a computer with YouTube on it that you were more than welcome to go and play something through their PA speakers. Be sure to get to it fast or be prepared to be at the mercy of other people's drunk nostalgia.

So why only 3 stars well I took 2 off because they don't have many TVs when they should at least have 2 since its 2 separate parts, and a big on is they don't take credit cards, I'm sure that's hurting them alone business wise, and the food situation, I know this place is new but they should have burgers (real meat not frozen patties) and fries. So will I come back I would say yes it's a nice clean place so for all the locals that come here tell your friends to check it out

Great service, food came pretty quick and very hot and fresh. Another part of Pitchwood I find endearing is their Wednesday open mic nights. Unfortunately, our visit just did not land. The bartender appeared to be doing double duty as server, and I understand what that can do to a shift. I spent about ten years working tables and other service jobs, so I have a lot of sympathy for being overworked. Still, the service felt more than rushed. It felt brusque enough that we did not feel especially welcome. The food was passable. Nothing terrible, but nothing that made us want to come back. The local beer was also a surprise, since it did not taste especially fresh. Maybe this was an off night. I hope so. There is clearly a good idea here, but our experience was a bit of a disappointment.
