I keep going back to the same 2 sandwiches though because they're my favorite. I've turned co-workers on to this great lunch spot and they love it too! My favorite is Nancy's favorite and The Gobbler grilled add red onion. The service is amazing. So friendly and genuinely care about service, food quality & their customers! Sometimes I'll get something off the menu and customize it. Never an issue. Lots of tables to dine at for a small deli, always clean. There's a bakery in there that shares the building along with some other vendors. Nancy's Bakery is really good. Pies, cookies, etc. One of the sandwiches is even named after Nancy.

One owner spent years as an executive chef at a casino, while the other built a career as a professional baker in Aberdeen. Boy, does that expertise show. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. A little context: I mostly eat pescatarian these days, so when I do splurge on chicken, my expectations are sky high. I've built it up in my head as one of the foods I miss most (right alongside a good ribeye), and it's almost always disappointing. Not this time. This chicken is absolutely ridiculous. They debone a chicken thigh and fry it into the crispiest, juiciest piece of fried chicken I've had in a long time. It's made with a gluten-free batter, which means more people get to enjoy it. And before anyone assumes "gluten-free" means sacrificing flavor... think again. Plenty of great chefs will tell you the best fried coatings come from starches like potato or cornstarch anyway. What really made this meal special, though, was that my partner is vegan. If you've ever dined out with someone who's vegan while you aren't, you know how rare it is for both people to walk away feeling like they had an equally great meal. It almost never happens.
