A special thank you to Saskia, who was excellent throughout the entire planning process--so helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. Levi, our host for the evening, was wonderful--kind, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. And Sherill, the bartender, was fantastic--she made amazing drinks, and we loved that we were able to bring our own alcohol. The venue itself is beautiful, with plenty of space for guests to enjoy comfortably. The handmade wooden tables added such a unique and elegant touch. We also had a taco truck set up in the back, and everything flowed perfectly. Thank you to the entire Phoenix team for helping make my son's celebration so special and memorable. I highly recommend this venue--you won't be disappointed!

The bartender had a very dry attitude, and the on-site manager came across as rude and unprofessional throughout the night. We were even told to dispose of the last trunk of garbage ourselves because their bins were full. While several of us stayed late to help clean and move furniture back, the manager questioned one of our guests about a trash bag she had provided, as if he were doing something wrong -- when he was only trying to help. Overall, the space is great, but the people you're left to deal with could use more professionalism, appreciation, and customer service.

My wife and I have been members of Regus for many years. As executive consultants for decades, we…read moreused Regus because their facilities are predictable, professional with courteous reception and administrative support. For this reason, I find no solace sharing that our experience with Regus in general and the office in Marina Village in particular is the polar opposite of our previous experience in Atlanta, Chicago, Scottsdale, Walnut Creek, and many other locations. At one point, we had nationwide membership as we held meetings with some of the nations top healthcare corporations, medical device companies and pharmaceutical firms. Here's my warning to anyone who reads this. DO NOT sign a contract with these people. Billing issues go unresolved with threats to send us to collections instead of simply fixing the issue. And the national help desk is just the opposite of help. We recently moved to Tracy, California where there are NO Regus offices (none). Yet, Regus refuses to release us from a tricky renewal to receive mail 50 miles from our door. We need to travel 100 miles to pick up a letter. What's more, the "renewal" was offered long before the expiration date. Here's the thing - the contract was for Regus to simply and ONLY receive mail. NOT office space. I could understand forcing us into a lease option if we occupied space. That is not the case. Rather than cancel or suspend our agreement, they insist that we keep right on paying, and paying, and paying. Good companies accommodate customers and clients. Regus demands that we drive 100 miles round trip to thier facility to pick up our mail. This is insane. I feel betrayed by a company that was once a great partner. I am sorry to say that this may end up in small claims court if they go through with their threat to ruin our credit. As senior citizens, we just want to cancel an unfair agreement that Regus cannot even service.

Several times over the years we would receive forwarding mail as well as all the mail for all the other regus customers. We were promised compensation for mailing the mail back so that all our fellow businesses at regus would get their mail. More than a few times the office clerk would answer the phone as "Regus" instead of our company name.

I frantically scoured the web (including Yelp) and the best, most cost effective result kept pointing to Meeting Rooms on Demand. Let me tell you, Dion was very responsive, quick and professional. Everything was just the way he described it would be and the rental process was super easy and stress free. Now on the actual facility. Very easy to find (following Dion's emailed directions), easy to access the meeting space, bathrooms right below, there is even an elevator onsite to assist with large/heavy equipment or to assist those with mobility constrictions. The office space was PERFECT for our group. The tables and chairs were in great condition, there is a projection screen and projector, there are cords to connect to your devices too. I surveyed our group to see how they felt about the space and 100% of the group really liked the space and mentioned that we should conduct all of our meetings and even our trainings there. I appreciate Dion for his courtesy, professionalism, fast response and for delivering a product/service true to its description. I am working on scheduling our next meeting there and look forward to working with Dion in the future. Oh, I must not forget to mention, the pricing is very affordable (even for our non-profit). To find a clean, quality meeting space at an affordable price is PRICELESS! I could go on and on about how impressed we were, but I think you get my point. If you have/had any reservations on using this space, put them to rest, you will be pleased. Thanks again Dion, we look forward to working with you often.

Please Be Aware: As…read morestated multiple times in other reviews, this firm will significantly overcharge you with automated fees, while the staff and leadership will take active measures to avoid and/or deflect your polite and proactive escalations, resulting in significant time and budget lost as a member. For a $320/month coworking office contract that was signed on December 30, 2024, I had been charged over $2,000 even before the end of March... As a member, you may be auto-charged accidentally for multiple offices, charged compounding late fees while having a credit card on-file from the inception date of your contract, initiated charges you never approved or authorized for "IT Services" - which are allegedly premium WiFi internet" (that you don't need) - "Restoration Services" to clean an office that to my knowledge and observation has never been cleaned by staff to-date... and one day you might even receive an invoice for $322 for "color prints" of your black & white tax returns that you had printed. I spent months in email and polite in-person communication with salespeople, front desk staff, one general manager, one regional manager, and even a customer success representative - all of whom repeatedly apologized for any inconvenience, advised me that they could not figure out my automated billing issues, referred me to other departments, avoided my proactive follow-up's, and even hilariously advised me one day that, "maybe American Express has actually been overcharging you..." when I have all of the Spaces/Regus invoices clearly on display. Though I do not believe anyone at this firm desires for a poor member experience, I have observed that the staff at Spaces does not have the competency to understand the firm's automated billing system, the ownership to proactively handle member issues, the acumen to explain to you why various charges are being invoiced, or the ability to reconcile customer billing issues. Please be advised from a knowledgeable executive who has worked with co-working providers for over 10 years: Read the other reviews here (and on other platforms) that also share similar feedback - Avoid this firm if you can, most especially this location at Jack London Square, and respectfully consider an alternative coworking solution.

A very generous neighbor of mine invited my husband and me to the Alameda Elks Lodge Annual Crab…read moreFeed, which was held yesterday evening. I'm giving the lodge a four star for my dining experience and an enjoyable evening. My husband has been here more than a few times to play games of pool with our friendly neighbor and one of his friends. I have been here before for another event almost three years ago. The interior is beautiful, but the walls are thin. One can actually hear people talking in the next room. Our meeting place was the Mahogany Room for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. I did not want to stuff myself with the appetizers and not have enough room in my stomach for the main entree - crab. Nor did I want any libation before the meal. After the cocktail hour, we were escorted to the Rathskeller (basement of the lodge) where the dinner was held. The gentlemen on the waitstaff were lined up in an orderly manner, serving us whatever we desired - be it the bowtie/penne pasta, dinner rolls/garlic bread, coffee, dessert. Presentation of the crab, the wines (red and white), Caesar salad and the antipasti plates was excellent...casual, yet classy. Dessert was a serving of raspberry sorbet. The only minor drawback was the bowtie/penne pasta served on the same plate as the salad plate. Even though I did not win any of the door prizes after making a donation of $20 for 20 raffle tickets, they had some nice ones, such as the $100 gift card from Scott's Seafood, $100 gift card for Yoshi's dinner and show, $50 gift cards from La Penca Azul, C'era Una Volta, 1400 Bar and Grill, Jim's Coffee Shop, Pier 29. From what I heard, the lodge raised about $1,500 in raffle ticket sales. I also have to give kudos to the waitstaff, many of whom were very tolerable and patient with this woman who sat at the next table behind my husband. She was in the wine (whine) mode. "I want penne pasta. I don't want this dinner roll with butter. I want some garlic bread. Don't you guys have any garlic bread?" On and on she went...egads...she had a sense of entitlement. Yes, there were two bottles of wine at each table, but her incessant whining almost had me do a "face palm" on her. Ooh, I wanted to offer her a piece of cheese, which would have complemented a glass of wine very well. (Now, quit your whining, lady...lol.)
