We believe we may have missed a document so we called. After 5 unanswered voicemails I called on my lunch break and was advised that everything was okay and to provide my paystubs and SSN card. My fiancé and I gathered everything up, submitted it, and didn't hear back from anyone. No confirmation that the documents were received or anything. I tried calling for an entire day and never receive a call back after leaving numerous voicemails. I sent a bunch of email between my fiancée and I and no one ever got back to us. This morning I sent a "professional" email explaining how it ridiculous that they have not followed up with any communication after numerous attempts to contact them and then the replied stating THE FUCKING PROPERTY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AFTER BEING ON THE MARKET FOR 2 WHOLE ASS MONTH AND THAT I NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF A PAYMENT AGAIN. Let me calm down, they got me out of character in this fucking review. Nevertheless, I replied that they can keep the $50 fee as I will never work with this company. If you don't reply to prospective tenants then I know you won't reply when we move in.

When I had to relocate to Michigan for a career change I did some research and found a team of…read morerealtors who, based on their social media posts, could get the job done, and done correctly. I have never been more wrong before.  Shortly into the home buying process the team leader Christopher Lee Ayers started to speak to me as if I didn't know anything. I was patronized and spoke to as if I were a child. The other team member gradually disappeared from the process, growing increasingly more unavailable. So what had happened to my team, my realtors, the people who were allegedly representing me?  As the construction of my new home continued there were still several unanswered questions. Questions about the exterior design components, questions about spec house v. Custom house, questions or concerns that would arise and be brushed off. It was internally frustrating because the general contracting company only wanted to talk to the realtors not to me, and I couldnt even get my realtors on the same page. The real bizzare part is once I could touch base with my realtor to discuss my concerns it's as if they were making the decision for me and not guiding me or providing me the resources to make an informed decision.  I know I can ask a lot of questions, i know i can become anxious when it comes to large financial decisions but my anxiety in this home building/buying process was not to create conflict it was to get answers for myself so that I knew what was going on, so I knew how my money was being spent. It was a slap in the face that the realtors who bost on social media about always being their for their client or always going the extra mile couldnt even address one of my questions or concerns without diminishing me or making me feel like I had no clue what was going on. A lesson learned here, someone can brag all day long online but if they cannot deliver results, then what good are they. I will be sticking to word-of-mouth realtors, moving forward because the saying is true "we are so much cooler online."

This company only wants a quick, undervalued sale. Shain Park Realtors lacks integrity and…read moreprofessionalism. They do not know the values of homes. I would have left $25,000 on the table if I had listened to them. They will attempt to sell your home at a very low price, for a quick commission paycheck. The agent, Matt Avery, was eager to list my house. This is the only positive thing I can say from this experience. He determined a sale value of the house before he came to see it. He based the value on only 2 comparable homes in my urban area. He stated that I would only be able to get $210k-$215k for my home. Based on my research of homes in the area, I determined $239k was a more realistic price, so I told him to list it accordingly. The listing for the home that he posted was missing many details and features, and was poorly written. The first offer came in quickly at $230k. He insisted that I take the offer, as he thought the house was not worth $230k, and that it would not appraise for that value. I declined the offer, and stayed at $239k. I lost all trust with him at this point. He failed to keep me informed of any information after all future showings. After approx. 60 days, I received an offer of $234k, which I had to negotiate myself to $235k, excluding washer/dryer. The house appraised at $235k, as I expected. Closing was agreed upon within 40 days. I never heard back from the realtor Matt Avery after this point. The 40th day came, and I had to contact him. He stated that the recent govt shutdown had caused the delay. He lied. Upon closing, I found out that the reason was that the buyer was still closing the sale on their old house. When I arrived at closing, he left me in the conference room by myself, as he sat in a nearby room. He never came in to talk to me. I received my check, and went to walk out the door. A woman that was with him ( I believe was his wife), called me names and spoke to me with very foul language. I contacted Shain Park Realtors main office to speak to management about how terrible my experience was. The person I spoke to defended Matt Avery, and stated that my house was only worth about $190k! Thankfully I am not stupid, and used my own research and judgement to sell my house. I recommend using a reputable realtor with experience and knowledge, or you might as well sell your house yourself.

We were successful with the sale of our unique mid-century modern home in Bloomfield. We were also thrilled with our newly purchased Bloomfield home, which we had to win in a competitive bidding situation. Buying and selling homes is often a difficult experience because it involves success with a million details, at the same time, managing to a complex set of important emotional and financial considerations. As a hands-on business owner myself, I was truly impressed by Kathy's attention to detail and personal assistance throughout the whole process and all transactions. Her entire team was equally attentive to detail and I appreciate all of the care they showed making our experience as turnkey as possible - all the while making us feel like we were their most important client, which we certainly were not. Your real estate agent options are many, especially when buying and selling expensive properties. Everybody wants your business and virtually all of them will say anything to get it. We knew from the first conversation when my wife and I interviewed Kathy that she was the right choice for us. Kathy's lifetime of experience and success in Oakland County, combined with what we judged to be a very honest and direct no-nonsense communication style really resonated with us. As a buyer and seller there were moments I didn't want to hear the truth, either because it didn't fit my narrative, or because I had other realtors in my ear placating me with their inexperience or disingenuous opinions. All realtors are fiercely competitive and if I had to do these millions of dollars in transactions all over again, I would still choose Kathy. She's the kind of rare talent that I want working on my behalf and fighting for my best interests. Everyone has opinions, especially when it comes to realtor choice, and this experience has reaffirmed what I always suspected to be true. She's the most successful realtor for a reason. Kathy is the best, and as a result you can expect that every other realtor is mostly jealous, and of course, will try and talk you into making a different decision. I really did hear it all, and she truly was as hands-on herself and competently supported by her team as if we were her only clients. It didn't matter what time of day, or what day of the week, she was always fast to respond. You shouldn't gift your listing to someone because you are friends or feel pressured. Selling and buying is a competitive process and you should expect your realtor to work their hardest and perform their fiduciary responsibility to truly earn their commission. When I stopped fighting my inclination to micro manage these processes and simply had faith in her by giving her my trust, everything went according to plan and ultimately exceeded expectations. Why on earth wouldn't you choose someone with over a billion dollars in lifetime sales if you had the opportunity? I did, and now we enjoy these beautiful views every day... thanks, Kathy!

To say she goes above and…read morebeyond would be an understatement and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone in Michigan. I've worked with realtors in NYC, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and she is the top of the top. Words can't describe how much she means to our family, and we can never repay her for the kindness, prompt action, and help we received from Kathy Broock and the Max Broock Realtors office, including Helen Reasoner. My 78-year old dad had rapidly accelerated dementia during Covid, we had contractors that scammed my immigrant parents out of a lot of money and created a problematic black mold issue that further deteriorated my father's health on top of a lot of stress, we had a roof that couldn't be repaired and caused a 6-foot hole in ceiling, and had an endless list of other repairs for an 18-year old house that my parents didn't maintain over the years. No problem is too big for Kathy, and without a word, she jumped right in to help us and set us up with her vast network of contacts that equally match her kindness and compassion. Within the first week, we had a lawyer to help us deal with the contractors, a home inspection agency to give us a realistic picture of the repairs we needed to make, a mold inspection company, various contractors to help us with all the issues/repairs the home inspection agency identified, and helped my mom personally, step-by-step, through the home selling process. She sold my parents house in record time (found a buyer before the repairs were even finished), helped my mom find and close on a new Toll Brothers home (accompanied and consulted her throughout the process to make sure she got the best deal), and even had Helen Reasoner accompany my mom during the walk-through of her new house, in which Helen identified several issues she asked the building team to repair. I know I'm missing a slew of other things that Kathy did for our family, on top of all the therapy she gave to us during some really tough times of my family experienced through these last 3 years. Thank you so much Kathy!!
