As its name imply, they do offer drinks i believe it's complimentary, i asked for just water they served small bottles of water with cookie which was nice.. and pedicure chair was comfy with good massage options. Our techs explained to us about their other spa pedicure We got hot stones with +5 extra, i think they put in more time for massage since we added that.. i honestly did not like the way my tech filed my toe nails. Straight without filing corner and the cuticle was not thoroughly cleaned which affects nail polish does not look neat At the end of check out, front desk person doesn't seem to be the same person as the person who checked us in, she was on her phone did not even acknowledge our presence i tried to get her attention then she just told us "hold on" without looking and took her time to finish texting and then checked us out, i thought that was pretty rude not only keeping us wait but also no word of apology Rude.. I had a reservation arrived a few minutes early. Am instructed to pick out color. Then a white lady walks in behind me and ends up at the nail color station too. Somehow she is seated at least 7 min before me. Then I get what I can only imagine is the newest girl. New to the country and the shop. She does not understand ANYTHING I try to tell her. She waits until after my pedicure to get the polish I chose only to tell me there isn't more. (Why do you have colors out that you no longer carry or how did you run out without ordering more?). So now I have to pick out another color AFTER pedicure but before nails. I bring this up because what should have been an 80-90 min visit was two hours. What with her having to ask about everything! The manager def heard some of these occurrences as well as other techs. NO ONE came to aid us in the language barrier. I get nails done as a form of self care. When I walked out I made a loud noise in frustration as I wanted to maintain my composure in the store. (*note, Helen did do very well on my pedicure but it was not worth the hassle of the visit by any means). Upon leaving, the Apple Pay doesn't work so I give my CC. I have to ask about where's the tip option. She replies "oh they prefer cash". Ummm, so. Not to be crass but who is the customer here. It's stuff like that that ppl end up not tipping. 2 days later, I return with a nail repair. And like my first visit, there are prices being rang up but not communicated upfront. They really tried to charge me a repair in less than 2 days. The saddest of all this is my GF referred me to them while i visited from out of town. I would not recommend them to my enemy. If companies want Black ppl to stop "crying racism" then they need to uphold a standard of good service to ALL GUESTS! Where do I start? I was able to get an appointment same day. The receptionist was lovely. However, the technician doing my nails, Anna, was very inexperienced. She filed my nails hard and exposed virgin skin. Then she pushed the cuticle cutting my skin (she didn't use cuticle oil). When polishing she got nail polish on my skin and tried wiping it off with her gloved finger, however very unsuccessful and the polished dried on my skin under the UV light which she tried to file off - OUCH! By the way her gloves huge and she was constantly pulling them up. On another note, the starion was dirty. When filing, there was no towel put down. Dust was everywhere and Anna had onadirty mask and stained pants! Don't go here I have gel nails forever and this was by far tge worst experience I have had. read more

Came here after seeing the good reviews. Just got a regular manicure and I got a technician that was very uninterested, rushed me after I took about 2 minutes to pick a color, and the desk at which I sat covered with leftover dust from filings. The technician left me at the fan table for about 40 minutes which I'm pretty sure nails are dried much sooner than that. The technician left to eat lunch and chat with her friend right in front of me, which was fine by itself but after a while it just felt like she was being rude. Once she noticed me siting at the table, she ushered me out to the front desk all while my nails were covered in air bubbles. I think that the nail technicians at this salon are inexperienced and the salon has them using unsanitary equipment. read more

Artech Nails Bar was recommended to me by a coworker as I am moving & was in search of a new nail place. My mom and I decided to give it a try yesterday. *We made sure to make an appointment.* We started off with pedicures. We both got regular nail polish, my mom got a french and I got color. Amazing! One of the best pedicures I've ever received. Also they give you back and neck massages while your toes are drying. My mom got a regular acrylic refill with a gel polish french manicure and it looks awesome. I got a full set of pink and white gel acrylics by Dana. I was set on french but she recommended Ombré so I went with it. So glad I did! She definitely knew what she was doing. Unfortunately I can't remember who did my mom's. We both also got our eyebrows waxed and no complaints there either. Dana gave me her card and a pricing brochure which is not something you see often and VERY much appreciated. The environment is great, and they offer SNS (powder dip) manicures; however, there are only a few color choices if you want SNS. This salon has just opened and seems very clean. I gave 3 stars because of the following issue: For some reason the color of the powder was not uniform on one of my nails. The technician redid it, but the same splotchy color phenomenon happened again. The technician did not know how to resolve the issue, and I was not offered any kind of discount or compensation despite the fact that only 9/10 of my nails looked good when we were finished. It left me feeling gipped and whenever I look at it, I'm annoyed. That being said, I love the shape and color of most of my nails, so I'd go back and give them another try. **UPDATE** Today I went back for a pedicure and it was even worse than before. The pedicure took forever and worst of all the polish would not dry! After hours of working at my computer, my toes were still not dry. I paid extra for a spa pedicure, but whatever oils they used were not properly removed from my nails before polishing. The polish slide right off some of my nails, but adhered to others. Came here since it's so close to my house and i have a concert to go to on Tuesday and my feet were in need of care. Upon arriving the nail salon is really pretty and clean. I was greeted by a super nice receptionist that lead me to a pedicure chair right away. My nail tech was very nice and courteous but i did not really love how the paint came out. I chose a white color and it is very hard to make sure a white color comes out perfectly. At the end of my pedicure i was asked how everything was and i honestly told them i was not really in love with my nails and they offered to fix it right away no questions asked. I unfortunately did not have time to get it corrected that day as i had plans afterwards but i made an appointment to come today. The owner herself was kind enough to do the correction herself and they look perfect. I completely respect how they run their business and love how they handled the situation. Moved to the area about 6 months ago and started going to Artech. I had Annie the very first time and will NEVER LOOK BACK! Annie does a flawless job on manicures and pedicures. I don't trust just anyone with my nails but Annie will certainly take care of you. My friends have had the other nail techs here and they rave about them as well. I was very hesitant to write this review because I've seen how the manager has responded to other one star reviews with a disappointing amount of defensiveness. But I think a review is important with how unprofessionally my situation has been handled . I was a loyal customer here for over a year and a half. A few months in to my going there, they started strongly discouraging tipping by card and, truthfully, being able to consistently tip a full 20% by cash was sometimes difficult. I will fully admit, up front, that I would sometimes have to tip below that based on amount of cash I had available. But, because I was a return customer, I would try to make up for that with subsequent visits. In a recent visit, the woman who has been my manicurist for over a year told me I didn't tip enough. I was taken aback, but I actually THANKED her for her feedback. If the conversation had stopped there, I would probably still be going there and making an extra effort to bring enough cash. However, she didn't stop there. She went on to tell me that if I didn't tip 20%, the manicurists would talk about me AND would give me poor service if I came back. I was mortified - having gone there for over a year, I had to wonder how often that had happened to me. After that, I no longer felt comfortable going back to that establishment. I cancelled my next appointment, I didn't reschedule, and found a new place to go. I was going to leave it at that. But two days ago, my manicurist called my cell phone and left me a voicemail asking how my nails were and if I was going to reschedule an appointment. I thought that crossed a line, but still decided to just let it be. And then today, I started to get text messages from my manicurist, asking after my nails. I finally responded, thanking her for reaching out and letting her know I've decided to go elsewhere, hoping that'd bring an end to this. Again, it didn't. She completely crossed a line and started to text me, on the phone number that was supposed to be used ONLY to confirm appointments, BEGGING me to come back. Nails turned out nothing like I asked for. I showed the nail tech a pic of nails with thin French tips. I wanted a thin French tip as a pop of color... When I first saw how thick the line was I told her I wanted the pink to be a thinner line and she told me it wouldn't look good because my nails are "too long". I asked a few times to make them thinner and she wouldn't. I had black acrylics before and there's still black on some of my nails, the acrylic is bumpy, the French tips are crooked, thick and the lines aren't smooth. I had glue and cuts on all of my fingers. I've had 4 nails pop off within one week of having them. I have been getting acrylics for years and have never had nails pop off like they are press ons. I was in much need of a manicure after quarantine, all my nails were damaged and thinned out. I'm usually hesitant to try a new nail salon, especially because my nails were not in good shape and nothing turns me off more than when nail techs like to make fun of you because you have damaged nails. The owner greeted me and explained to me what service she thought would be best for me. She was the nicest woman ever! Very considerate and nice and welcoming. I have been growing my eyebrows for months and to start all over again, I am just pissed. If I ask for an expert and they give me me someone name Dana. First experience, I am disappointed. To top it all off, they heard me telling my friend how upset I was and come charging asking me why I wrote a review. At the end of the day, I am the client and I have the right to write my experience. The manager then comes over and starts touching my face and says, "not for nothing, I think it looks nice". I scheduled an appointment well in advance for June 26, the day the salon reopened after their hiatus due to coronavirus. They initially told us to come in at 7 pm, then they told us 6:30 pm, and then 6:15 pm. We arrived at 6:15 and sat in the waiting room for like 30 minutes, and then were put in the pedicure chairs and had our feet in the water for like 20 more minutes. They clearly overbooked appointments. The device that makes the water in the tub bubble kept falling out. They rushed our pedicures are I was asked what services I was in for like 5 times because they kept forgetting. I was told someone would be doing my fingernails during my pedicure and that didn't happen. I'm very dissatisfied and would not recommend this salon. Go somewhere else. read more

I politely responded each time that I wanted a regular manicure but the whole interaction left me feeling uncomfortable like she was trying to up-sell me. Hands down, the worst nail salon I have ever been too! I got a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was okay but the second coat on my nails was messed bc it didn't cover my whole nail so it wasn't anything I could've accidentally done. My gel manicure did not go all the way up to the cuticle and it was not smooth/rounded at the top, carelessly done and filed very crooked. When I told the owner, she told the woman to fix it by filing the edges to make them round and the woman was showing a lot of attitude (eye rolling and giving looks to other co workers and talking back to her manager) but after 2 times, did it, still carelessly. I left bc I was running late and It was still a terrible job so I called because I was afraid they would peel off while on vacation and I was very unsatisfied. They told me to come back the next day to get them redone with someone else. And when I came back the owner or manager (not sure who she is) did not say one word to me, besides telling me where to sit. Very rude. They also did nothing to compensate the horrible service or me having to come back a second time. Just to put this into perspective, I came with my mom who only got a gel manicure and was done AFTER my manicure AND pedicure. I went to this salon once before to get my nails done for prom. The nail artists would not accommodate for the designs that my friend and I had chosen - BUT, I was able to find something else I liked and my artist was able to do something more simple. I decided to try this salon out again today. I called ahead to ask if they were able to do Halloween designs and I was told yes. When I came in, the woman refused to do something as simple as a spiderweb, insisting that she wasn't able to do it... alright, fine, but I had specified that I was coming in for Halloween designs. I had to insist on the spiderweb design before she hesitantly painted it on. When I asked her to do a tree, she told me that she could not do that either. She said it would not be "exact," to which I replied "that's okay! It doesn't have to be exact, I just want it to look nice." Instead, she painted a "leaf" on my finger that looked like it was just random curvy lines - one of those trends straight out of 2010... definitely not a leaf. I asked why it was so hard for her to paint a trunk and a few branches in black and she told me they don't have the right brushes for it while continuing to insist she could not do exactly what's in the photo. Hot Nails, right by Kohl's and Ross, was able to do the design with the exact same brush this woman was holding in her hand. While Hot Nails' designs were not perfect, I at least was not denied the service. Despite all of the amazing nail art on Artech's social media sites, I continue to hear that they cannot do nail art. I believe that the artists here refuse to do designs because they honestly don't feel like putting the work in. I'm not usually one to get up and leave or to complain to managers because I understand that working conditions can be tough, but her refusal to do a simple design bothered me. To reiterate, I even called ahead and asked if they could do Halloween designs. I will certainly not be trying this place again. (Pictures included of the designs I asked for.) IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Instead of attempting a tree, multiple curvy lines were drawn. She continued to try to convince me to get something else. And as I stated above, I had even said that I didn't need it to look exactly like the photo. I just wanted it to resemble a tree. I feel as though in your attempt to invalidate my review, you really just repeated a few things I had said while ignoring other points I had made. As for the "walk out," which makes me sound like an enraged customer, I said to my nail artist that if it wasn't possible for her then I would try Hot Nails again. She said it wasn't possible so I left. I doubt that the other 1-star reviews appreciate the passive aggressive tone either. Had I been offered another nail artist, I would have been content. I also see that you posted multiple Halloween designs on your social media about an hour after I posted my review. This looks like an attempt to make it seem as though those designs were available, which they were not at the time that I came in. Great place for pedicures. Girls are always nice and skilled. HOWEVER.... went in for an SNS. First time Hannah was awesome. Second time.. Hannah is on leave asked for a 2nd SNS, Tech did SNS for pink portion.. painted on white tips. Needless to say... white chipped within 4 days. I received a menu of services and was excited to see they offered SNS Dip Powder. After reading (mostly) positive reviews, I called Saturday March 24 to make my first ever appointment for dip nails and regular pedi with Annie for Saturday March 31st. Prior to me going to Artech, as any well informed customer would, I looked up Dip Powder on YouTube to see how it was different from gel and acrylic. I've also talked to several people who swear by dip powder. From their experience coupled with what I researched myself, I knew what process to expect (so I thought). I arrived today at 9am; I was acknowledged but had to wait. 10 minutes, no problem. But 24 minutes?! Strike one. At 9:24, I asked the gentleman if Annie had arrived to which he replied yes she's here and will be right with you. She finally came to greet me and walked me back to the pedicure bowl. She sat me in the chair, we reviewed what I wanted done and then she asked I wait for her to fix the nail of someone else. Wait AGAIN!? Mind you, there were several other people that could've fixed the customers nail. Pedicure was okay; nothing to rave about. She asked why I didn't want gel and insisted that EVERYONE loved gel. I told her that I didn't have a good experience with gel and the UV light is too much on my hands...even with gloves. Now anyone who has seen or has gotten dip powder knows that you DO NOT use the drill on the nail; when trained properly technicians use a nail file to smooth out the nail. I asked her why she's using the drill and she said to smooth it out (strike two). She then said she'd put a tip on my nail after cutting them down. I declined the tip because I didn't need or want long nails. She kept insisting I get dip powder with gel top coat , as it takes a long time to take off and in her unsolicited opinion, looks better. So by this time, I've told her more than enough times what I wanted-dip powder ONLY. She "shaped" my nails and asked me what I thought of the shape (see pictures). I told her they were uneven, she made them too narrow and they are crooked to which she replied "you have bad nails, weak nails". Well Annie, I guess I do after you drilled them down!! She was insulting; my spidey senses are telling me that dip powder is not her forte. And if that's the case she should've been upfront and refer me to another technician. For the record, my nails are (well, they were before Annie jacked them up) strong and I ALWAYS receive compliments from both nail techs and randoms. This dip powder was a trial for Easter. I pulled my hands away and let her know that I didn't appreciate her talking so negatively to me about what she thinks I should get. I got up, reluctantly paid for my mediocre pedicure and left. I didn't make an appointment to be told what I should get or to receive negative feedback. I absolutely will NEVER recommend Annie to anyone. The salon ambiance is very nice but don't let the smoke and mirrors of them offering wine, cheese and crackers be a hard sell on below average (and late) service. Never again. read more
