Excellent place to have your hair cut. I searched a lot to find a barber who could cut my son's hair (African American) and this was the only shop with all 5s on their reviews so I checked it out. Im from LA i was visiting and i needed a hair i came here and looked like they knew what they wore doing. Customer service was not good they don't even greet you when you walk in or anything. After i sat there for 20 mins one of the barbers asks me if i had an appointment and i said no then he asked 2 other barbers if they wore free and a girl answered no so she got her station ready. I really regret going there she was so damn rude she asked me how i wanted my hair and i said i wanted a Taper and she still asked me a lot of questions , about it anyways she kept on moving my head all fast and kept on telling me put your head up Super rude and i think she had an appointment coming soon she started rushing , cutting my hair super fast and shaving me with her machine she left me a few cuts where my beard is and under my chin and also in my forehead. I use to go to Perfections barbershop in Centreville Virginia one time I waited 3 hours just to get a cut and sometimes they would mess me up the struggle was real and then I found a barbershop called Artcutech that was up the street so I said why not let me give them a try so I went in the barbershop and I was highly impressed Artcutech has to be one of the best looking barbershops in the DMV the staff is also Great! Leaving school and my barber in Richmond, I was nervous about finding a barber to suit my needs. I had come across Artcutech via referral from a mutual friend who raved highly about it so I had to check it out. Right off the bat a welcoming environment with a pretty cool staff. Jack referred me to Kyle and I have not looked back since. Gives the freshest cuts everytime. Very flexible with his appointments (which as a given, you have to make sure to do with their busy schedules) and really looks out for his clients. I have referred plenty of family and friends to Kyle and will continue to do so. This place sucks don't bother to waist your time. I went in for the first time and their customer service is terrible, no greetings. I asked to get my kids hair cut but all 4 said they were booked but two of them were just sitting there on their phones. They told me to come back at 1 which I did and waited an additional hour. We finally were able to get my kids hair cut with a female with dreds. I explained to her to give him a fade and a little off the top but neglects to cut anything off the top, even after I asked if she had trimmed the top. It was my Vista and my last. Took my nephew here for a cut and they did an amazing job. I didn't catch the girls name but she was very professional and did such a great job. They only accept cash and I was a walk in so they accommodated me the best that they could which was about a 20 minute wait I believe. Not too bad. Terrible experience. I usually get my cuts up in RVA but since i was visiting i decided to give this place a try. On yelp they seemed to have good reviews but when i came in it was horrible customer service(no greeting and friendliness), and when i asked them to give me a good barber he managed to fuck up a simple undercut. Can't speak for every barber here because I only go to one specific barber (Kiet) who I only let cut my hair. But judging by watching the other barbers cut , they do a pretty good job. For new customers I would say do a walk in for the first time then after finding the right barber here for you, make appointments after that. Appointments just seem easier for the barbers here unlike normal walk ins with other barber shops.Friday's- Sunday's seem like the busiest days. Another plus about this place is that it's a very diverse barber shop. All different races and compliment all different styles of hair. I would also say this place has more of a modern look to it which I enjoy more than the typical old school barber shop look.Imo the best barber shop in the NOVA area. 5 stars from me! read more

Best barber shop I have seen in the DM[V] - only shop I have seen that have barbers that can cut any type of hair regardless of the ethnicity! They also have a female stylist that does women hair as well as men hair! Very comfortable environment and also has 61 inch tv to chill if your waiting! I recommend calling the shop for an appointment just Bc of the high volume of cuts they do a day but they do accept walk ins! Been here twice. Once for myself and took my 6 year old son as well. Did good and was fresh! I thing though is places like this needs to have great customer service. It does suck to just walk in and never get greeted, yet barbers have time to check their phones, and walk past potential customers. I have a few cards for guys to call, but sometimes I just don't feel like calling. Would rather just show up and see if someone is available, but if I have ever sit for too long and never at least have someone say I got you next, or something I'm walking out and never going back. My son (13yr) wasn't happy that I was having him cut down his "box" but he doesn't take care of it the way he should. After he saw the cut Tuck did, he loved it and said it would be easier for him to keep neat. The establishment is clean and they have different barbers to cater to all different hair types. After hearing great things about this place decided to check it out. Artcuttech is great and consistent! Always sharp cuts. I bring my son here and they always offer him a lollipop after his cut. Putting him at ease and he now looks forward to getting a cut. In addition they offer complimentary water. It's the little things that sets this barbershop apart. Prices are fair. Best cuts in town just have to make sure you schedule ahead of time because these guys are usually booked up. A walk in usually takes a long time even for me as I've been a customer here ever since it opened up. They seem to stay loyal to the customers that call ahead/set an appointment which I find fair and reasonable considering these guys cut plenty of people's hair throughout their busy day. It's really hard to find a good shop and barber together. This is the place though! It's not fluffy our stuffy. Guys aren't mean muggin and its really clean. I was with a stylist for 7 years until she opened her own shop and everything went down hill. I'm very picky with who cuts my hair. Tommy did an amazing job and was very confident in his work. I watched as he cut another guys hair and was very happy to see that the lines were straight on the neck (pet peeve), fade was great and chops were still in tact. I am a busy, one person army, it is hard to find time to wait around in barber shops for hours just to get a haircut, every two weeks, so my son normally walks around shaggy until we have the time... I mean seriously with work, school, after school activities, sports, who really has the time!! That two hours I am waiting for my child to get his hair trimmed down is dreaded every single time.
