This place can be described as a very expensive upscale flea market. It also reminds me of Anthropologie's home products. If anything, it may be a little bit more pricey than Anthropologie though. Since it is an independent shop, things here are so special and there is something special about purchasing things that you have to go in-store for and cannot be purchased or viewed online. I loved the selection of textiles, the dishes, the apothecary items, and the unique trinkets. While I know that I could certainly not afford to outfit my house with things in here, there were plenty of things that would make thoughtful and unique gifts for friends, or occasional splurges for yourself (there were a few blankets that I LOVED). The style is just my cup of tea- a mixture of vintage and modern. Stop in, and I'm sure you will find at least a few things that you love!

They have some really neat chairs like the IMG Luna, and some really well made recliners. Many of the chairs remind me of the mid-century modern classics. The action and build quality of the chairs is really what amazed me. Their zero-gravity chair is effortless to recline and, well, unrecline. The wood and veneers used are also very nice. The beechwood based recliners are meant to be very flexible, yet resilient, and there are some tables that have some great veneer patterns. It's always very cozy when you walk in, and all of the staff is extremely nice. There are some expanding tables that have some interesting action. They'll be more than happy to demo them for you.

He refused to look it up for her and was very short with his responses and had a disrespectful tone. We didn't get his name but he was white and likely a gay dude (I'm gay so my gaydar is decent). Very unfortunate. It seems like we prefer the West Elm in the Chicago suburbs because it's bigger and we'll avoid this man in the future.

This is some of the nicest looking vintage furniture I've seen in town - lots of sideboards, dressers, end tables and some truly glorious sofas. Prices are commensurate with the quality - a big 2 piece sectional sofa with immaculate original upholstery was in the $600 range. That said, they're willing to negotiate so if you see something you love, have the conversation. The Mister grabbed a fun Maifest stein and a vintage German decor mag from 1964 for $10, so we left happy. He knew exactly where the chair we were looking for was in the store, was able to explain very clearly how and what could be adjusted, and even shared how the features compared to other similar chairs. Once we were set up, he let us be to test it out until we were ready to ask more questions about pricing and shipment options. I was appreciative that he gave us space and time to see if we liked it. While their shipping is expensive, they do have a 25% off deal right now.
