I have very ethnic hair and many of my experiences in the past most have not been able to work with my hair because they are not used to working with my kind of hair. The name of this salon says it all!!!! I've been going to Jasmin for over 10 years now. I found out about her through a friend. It was one of those days, i went to a hair dresser, and the person gave me a horrible haircut and a color. I was so upset, and didn't know what to do. So my friend recommended Art to Beauty. I called them and spoke to Jasmine, explaining to her on what was going on with my hair. So she told me to come by. When i walked in the salon for the first time, i was greeted with a smile and a friendly staff, as if they were greeting someone whose been coming there for years. Jasmine made sure that i was very comfortable. She began to work her magic. When she was finished i couldn't believe my eyes. My hair cut and the color were exactly what i wanted from the beginning. Since that time, I've been going to her only. I am always pleased with her work. She takes her time, and explains step by step on what will be done, and how to take care of the hairstyle or color after when you leave. Every time i leave her salon, my hair is picture perfect. I love getting my hair cut and highlighted here. Jasmine's no frills salon is easy to access, with parking in the back for free. She always offers me Armenian coffee and is so sweet to talk to. She and her sister are always so welcoming to the salon. She is incredibly professional and does exactly what I want when I get my hair highlighted and cut. She doesn't go crazy on hair cuts either...if I ask for a trim, I get exactly that...she's never scissor happy. Her prices are very reasonable and comparable to other salons. Just wanted to give my review for Art To Beauty salon... I have really thick, long hair. It is unruly and let's face it, at times unmanageable. I used to go from salon to salon looking for the "right" person that understood not only my hair, but my hair NEEDS. Looked for a person that would LISTEN to my concerns and what I wanted when it came to my hair. The last gal that cared for my hair had no clue how to care for it. She was dying it a very, very dark black and layering it in ways that made no sense. I felt my color was too dark for my skin tone and for my age. My hair was dry and brittle. It was literally dying with so many chemicals being put in it. I was extremely unhappy. A friend of mine recommended Art To Beauty, and specifically recommended Jazmin. Hasmik is truly amazing! I have been coming to Hasmik for my hair for many years, and I am always SO happy with the results. She really takes her time and listens to what you want. For my wedding, I was beyond thrilled with how my hair turned out. Before my wedding day, she spent time looking through pictures and brainstorming with me. I went here because I was referred by a friend that has nice hair, it was my first time there and Jasmine the owner was really friendly. I wanted to keep the length of my hair and just wanted a trim, she was very professional in what she does and made sure that she didn't cut too much by showing me how much she would take off so my hair will be healthy looking again. She didnt cut off too much and I am glad she asks because in my past experiences the stylist would chop off a lot of my hair even when I specifically told them I only want about an inch off and they would hack away 3 or more inches. So I recommend Art to Beauty Salon in Glendale, very professional and nice little salon. But you might want to call ahead of time for an appointment as they are a busy salon and they are closed on Wednesdays and Sunday. I cant wait for my next trip back there in 2 months Im going to retouch my roots for my highlights. read more

WOW! I came into this salon to get my nails done with Paola (she's fabulous) and I get a double bonus by finding the most skillful hairstylist too DATE! I met Jasmine (the owner) out of conversation while I was getting my nails done. As I sat there in Paola's chair, I was talking to Jasmine on how I've traveled near and far (literally) to find a great hair stylist that knows how to do hair and listens to what the client wants and needs...meanwhile she's visually examining my hair while were talking (that's dry and short - over processed, not to mention curly - breakage galore) so she reassures me she has the perfect solution (can I remind you she's not pressuring me to buy anything) she starts by putting this treatment (free of charge - probably because I'm a new client which is fine with me) and while I'm sitting on the chair, she explains what she has in mind. Finally 20 minutes go by she takes me to rinse and she starts my haircut. The end results were amazing! Mouth wide open! My hair is soft, sleek (not greasy) - my cut is beautiful and precise! I'm telling you this woman has a gift (I've studied hair as well) and to do hair is really an art and gift! The following day I come to work and I had compliments non-stop from the ride to the elevator to the floor ....do I plan on going back?? - Hell YAH! Its simple if you're looking for a great hairstylist you need to check out this salon and ask for Jasmine...she really knows her stuff. The salon is clean and the service is excellent. I felt like I needed to update my review about this amazing place and the stylist!!! So I went there a few days ago to color my hair and had an irritated scalp for whatever reasons and I was a little scared and asked Jazmin to be careful with that part, she told me not to worry because she has a new product that will take care of it. She used this new oil and color from Rene Furterer ,which not only protects from sensitive skin and irritation but it also adds extreme shine to the entire hair!!! I looooooved it!!! Now I not only have beautifully colored hair but I also have shiny hair!!! It's so beautiful!!!:) besides everything I bought a curl enhancing cream and it worked veeeeery good :) next time I'm getting the shampoo and conditioner too which are Rene Furterer!!
