The other thing she refused was the periferal colours (which had meaning to me). I tried to contact her by email, between the first and second sessions. She acknowledged she knew the email had come in, but hadn't bothered to read it, even though it had been two days. If you want a well done tattoo of what someone else wants, by all means go to Grey Harbour. If you want what you want, go elsewhere!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER…read more I went to my first appointment booked for 5:30pm. Since it was the first one, I thought that probably I would have to fill in some forms and I decided to arrive earlier at 5:15pm. When I arrived, the office was closed with a post-it on the door mentioning "I will come back at 5:45pm". I thought it was weird if my appointment was at 5:30pm but I decided to wait. The office is at the second floor on a building with no AC at the hallways and I did have a face mask so it was very annoying due to the hot. Then, at 5:40pm another client came and told me she did have an appointment at 5:45pm. So, when I explained to her than I had been waiting for a while she called the owner and she told her we were both there. This customer told me that she preferred calling her because the first time she went there the same thing happened to her and the owner had completely forgotten about her appointment as well. When the owner came back, she didn't even bother to apologize and she just asked the other lady to go inside instead of me who at that point had been waiting for more than 30 minutes! When I asked her about my appointment, she just told me what I was explaining was "impossible" because she did book my appointment for 6pm and that she went out at 5:30pm (seriously?! When she had done the same to the same other client on her first appointment as well? And when I had been there since 5:15pm?). In few words, after all the wait she just implied I was lying about the time of my appointment, as well as all the time I had been waiting there and she didn't even apologize. Just told me that because I did have to fill in some forms (almost at 6pm), the other customer was going first. I was VERY frustrated so I decided to find another place to go. Just a very AWFUL way to treat a customer on the first appointment!!

Never in my life have I ever been in a chair for eight hours doing highlights. During the appointment there was bleach added to the front of my head that started to burn itch and swell on my forehead into my hairline and I said oh my gosh, I'm having a reaction. She said oh it's OK. Just take a Benadryl. It was getting worse, and I asked her to wash out the bleach right away, she was so upset about that request. I got bleach in my eyes on my face. It was a disaster at the end of it all all that hair broke front where it was bleached the where it was also bleached and it's been six months and I still have all these short pieces of hair everywhere that have not grown back. She charged me a lot, took my money, I reached out the next day, saying how upset I was. She wouldn't do anything. If you can stay away from the salon, if you're doing any bleaching, I hope the story helps you make the right decision!

I have never once wrote a review good or bad but to be blatantly ignored by someone who owns a business is not nice or professional and deserves a calling out. It took Maryam 3 hours to apply my first set ever of mink lases. Within a week most of them had come off - through no fault of my own as I did everything right after they were applied. I decided to do a refill after 3 weeks to try one more time before I made any decisions on whether to continue with the lases or not. Maryam clearly stated to me that she only had and hour an a half because she had an appointment to go to. I am a very easy going person so no problem BUT I do expect things to be done right. After an hour and a half my lashes were not as full as i would've liked but I understood she had to go so i was willing to come back within a couple of days to finish up. We made an appt for about 2 weeks later but she said she would try to fit me in sooner. The lashes once again did not stay on, within the hour they were coming off and by the time 24hrs had passed my left eye looked a lot different then the right. I texted maryam to let her know she said she didn't have any openings. I texted her again the next day and she didn't text me back. At this point her not texting me back has happened a few times over the course of a month and me trying to get in to see her for her to add lashes (I paid for unilimted). Firstly, my lashes should never have come off as they did. Even i recognize there's something wrong with that. Secondly 3 hrs to apply lases then 1.5hrs for a refill and you're still not finished the job, is a little lengthy. Thirdly and most importantly ignoring a customer is wrong. I don't care how busy you are. I gave her the option of either finishing the refill within the next 3 days or refunding my money. I never heard from her and its been a week. I don't ask for much but I do ask for common courtesy and to provide (in full) services which are paid for. On top of that I had contacted another salon to explain what had happened (as I was willing to go elsewhere just to avoid dealing with Maryam). She was appalled that it took so long to apply the lashes and she had heard of mylashcanada before and there were issues with the "secret" glue that they use. I advised Maryam I was not happy. I even offered a solution. A professional would not ignore this. I just wanted what I paid for. I didn't receive it. I have also contacted the better business bureau to lodge a complaint. To pay $240 for a set of lashes and then $90 for a refill, you would think you'd come out happy and loving your lashes. As much as I wanted to i didn't but whats most disappointing is that she didn't even attempt to fix it. So hopefully if you go there, you don't have a problem that needs resolving.
