I got my mucosal liner done here for top and bottom and it cost $800. I thought it was quite expensive but at least I know why. She's the only health board certified permanent makeup artist in Canada and that costs a lot to get!! At first I didn't think it was enough but when it came time for my touch up (4-6 weeks later) I thought it was good. When you first get it done it is very vibrant and dark. After it starts to peel and scab off it becomes much lighter and the true color doesn't come out until about a month later because that hazy dry dead skin is covering the pigment. She gets you to lay down on a table (similar to when you get a facial done) and she does the first pass with the tattoo needle without any numbing cream. This is to allow the gel to to work. I felt everything though because I teared up so much the first time and I think it washed away the numbing gel. Some people say they don't feel anything but scratching but I felt everything and it's really painful. She is very quick and does take frequent breaks so you can take a look at the work she's done and ask her to tweak anything. Honestly less is more for permanent makeup. I don't want to look over done on a daily basis and when I do want more I just put on more eyeliner for special occassions anyway. I see so many of my friends with way too much makeup on for daily wear and I just think it takes away too much from their natural beauty. The work she did on me was good because I don't feel over done but yet I don't look like death. LOL! I have thin eyelashes and the little bit on the lash line and on the wetline really helps open my eyes up and make me look more awake. I would refer her to other people because she is good at what she does.

First of all, Tho is professional and she knows her stuffs, she is very focused when she does the strokes, and she explains the procedures very well. I have followed her IG for a long time (and also other artists) and I found that her work has the best details, and at the same time she totally understands that each person's facial characteristics are distinct and you cannot just have one fit for all. She takes her time to make sure that the shape you are going for is the one that's most suitable for you, not just "stamping" the most popular shape on your face regardless if it works on you or not (which I have observed in some other artists' work....unfortunately). Secondly, Tho has a fun and warm personality that just makes the whole experience easy, and that's pretty important for first timers. I was quite nervous before I went in but she chatted with me to distract me and explained the procedure patiently so that really made my experience so much calmer and relaxing. Lastly, the shop is clean and cute, location is great, the only downside if I absolutely have to pick one would be that I wish there would be easier parking around. But given the great location you can always opt for public transportation. Again, 10/10 would recommend!
