Quality, quality, quality…read more Frank is the most thoughtful, intelligent, and qualified acupuncturist I have found in the DC area. I've seen several other individuals for massage, acupuncture, and dry needling. But I have always gone back to Frank because he is the best. I've been seeing Frank for over four years now. Specifically, Frank has played a key role in my healing process for my shoulder and back injuries and numbness in my arms. We focus a good deal on dry needling on my neck, shoulder, and back. I find that he is the most careful and smart with dry needling. I have been to physical therapists and chiropractors who try to dry needle, and it's scary how ill equipped they were. Go see Frank. Whether you're an athlete or a stressed out profession (or like me...both!), you will walk away better in mind and body after seeing Frank.

He also sold me an herbal remedy that can be used as a tea, which is great (though I still rely on my OTC meds when the pollen count gets really high). I've gone to four different acupuncture practitioners and Frank is the best. Within minutes of getting the needles I fall into a deep relaxing sleep.I usually get the Tui Na service, so the massage feels like an extra bonus. It always surprises me that the whole treatment is only an hour. It feels like longer. For those who had trouble reaching him on the phone, I would recommend email. He has more than one office and no assistant. I haven't tried calling him, but he's always been very responsive to email, sending a reply either the same day or next day.

Dr. Westhauser was recommended to me by my physician to help me deal with the stress of ending an abusive relationship. Dr. Westhauser spent more time in diagnosis than any of the other acupuncturists I saw in the past and she explained very carefully the course of treatment. I believe she is the most accomplished acupuncturist I have worked with because her treatments have helped me calm down and begin to center and heal. I highly recommend Dr. Kerri to anyone considering acupuncture and those who already know how helpful it is. She is also meticulous about time and always punctual. She also practices many other Asia modalities and I am eager to explore some of those too. Herbal medicine, Tui Na, Gua Sha and others. I knew I needed to get a massage, but I've tried a few places in Capitol Hill previously and the massages were not great. Thus, I expanded my search bubble and found Unwind AdMo, and I'm glad I did!!! Nina gave me the best massage I've ever had - her technique was amazing, I was never uncomfortable, she focused on the right spots to get those tight knots out, and she made me feel very comfortable. Pricing was right on par for DC too. I will always come to Unwind Wellness now - even though it's ~40 minutes by metro/walking away, compared to some local spots I could be at in 5 minutes. I'm even nervous to try their Unwind Navy Yard location...because I only want massages from Nina, she's that good.

If you're looking for massage therapists who actually do real work, this is the place. I've seen both Helen and Heajin, and they are exceptional in different but complementary ways. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she's effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It's therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home, and clearly cares about long-term wellbeing, not just the session itself. One thing to note: at Unwind, therapists may get on the table with you, especially for Thai or deep tissue work. That's part of the technique and something to be aware of if you're new to that style, but for me it speaks to how seriously they take proper body mechanics and effectiveness. The space is calm, professional, and welcoming, and the level of skill here is outstanding. If you want thoughtful, strong, therapeutic massage from practitioners who really know the body, I highly recommend Unwind.

I've been going to Bespoke regularly for about the past 5 years. In that time I have seen three…read moreestheticians, all of whom were excellent. My current esthetician is Nichole W., and I truly can't recommend her enough. She has made significant improvements to my skin, especially to acne, which I have struggled with for decades, and some aging. I do purchase the products she recommends, because my goal is to have long-term skin improvement. However, I have noticed that Nichole is mindful that people have varying financial situations and is helpful in choosing products to prioritize in the event I'm not able to buy them all at once. I wish I could have come here during my teenage years, because at that time I took every acne medication under the sun and saw minimal improvements, while Bespoke has been able to heal my skin and keep it healthy. Beyond the skincare, I want to highlight Nichole's kindness and the way she genuinely cares for her clients. On at least two occasions I've had an appointment after going through some major life challenge and each time Nichole listened as I told her what I was going through and made my facial a place to escape everything that was going on. She also helped ensure the products I was using were appropriate for the situation I was in at the time. It might sound minor, but these days it's hard to find people that take the time to truly listen to their clients, and that's exactly what Nichole does. For all these reasons I will remain a loyal client of Bespoke for years to come!
