I was immediately greeted by the very wonderful, specific smell that wafts through Hallmark stores and my senses took me back to childhood shopping excursions with my Mom to buy holiday cards at our local Hallmark. The store is chock full of cards and wrap, which makes it worth stopping here to get something unique. There are all kinds of decor and licensed products displayed in a weaving pattern which made the floor pattern interesting. I have continued to shop here for my wrap and cards since first stopping in last year, knowing that there will be a selection of cards for nieces and nephews that I just can't find anywhere else. I'm happy that I can always find pretty good items at this location compared to some of my more local Home Goods. This shopping center is busy and the parking not as large as it could be but I normally try to come here early and at opening which usually gets me a parking spot pretty close to the front. I came two days after Christmas and was honestly impressed with their inventory. After Christmas most stores are hurting and down to their bare bones items but not this home goods! Yes the Christmas decor was lacking but that was A okay with me. I was so thrilled to see otherwise the entire store was stocked and had so much to look at and choose from. I ended up finding Valentine's Day cheery decor that I've literally been hunting since last year! I was so so happy to have stumbled across such a great find and a bunch of other great little kitchen wear items. Staff were friendly and while the lines were long at the register they were smart and called for backup and had almost every register open. I always appreciate that and that they try to keep the line moving. Today was a come up! Happy to have this home goods in the desert and will continue to come back here.

I had the receipt, and I simply wanted to exchange it. However, the manager, Steven/Stephen, told me he could not process the return because the item was purchased at the Palm Desert store. I find it unreasonable that HomeGoods would refuse an exchange for a defective item purchased at another HomeGoods location, especially when the customer has a receipt. I have been a long-term TJX/HomeGoods customer, and I have never had an experience like this before. I do not know whether this is a company policy or a store-level decision, but either way, it reflects poorly on the brand. A customer should not be turned away over a defective $4.99 item with proof of purchase. I was a recipient of a huge act of kindness today. I took a handful of my mom's stockings to be…read moreembroidered because my native Hawaiian friend Val, who lost everything in the Lahaina wildfire, needs to have a MERRY Christmas. So much loss. When I picked them up today, there was no charge by the company. In fact, there was the bag of beautifullly and thoughtfully embroidered stockings and gift cards for Val and her family. I was in shock. I think I started crying and the owner gave me a hug. What a wonderful business this is. When I dropped off the stockings, I told them why I was embroidering them; that my mom had gifted Val, her husband and kids stockings many many years ago, and they were burned up in the fire. People are good. So grateful to have found this gem of a business. They made a difference.
