I interviewed several private chefs to cook a dinner for 14 and knew almost instantly that Ray was my guy. As the dining table and kitchen are in close proximity, I knew chef would necessarily be part of the evening and I wanted someone whose personality would vibe with our unruly, irreverent, straight/gay tribe of bff's. What was served was superb. The food was yummy, scrumptious, delectable. All the words. And it was a real challenge to devise a menu that accommodated numerous personalities and dislikes. So, rest assured Ray is creative, resourceful and very skilled. But HOW it was served - with gregarious warmth and humor - truly made the evening special. Everyone totally fell in love with Ray and swooned over his culinary offerings. Days later, I was still receiving gushy texts about the food, the chef and the magical atmosphere.
