The interior is incredibly vibrant and colorful which makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. The instructor Elle brought great energy to the class and was very encouraging to all the attendees. The class moves steadily so you don't feel rushed, and they encourage you to work at your own pace as well as allowing you to be free to make deviations from the painting as you see fit. There's a lot of freedom in what you create which I found to add to the experience as everybody's painting is their own unique piece of art. The staff help clean everything up at the end, assist with photos, answer questions, and let you take your time as you leave in the event you need to add those finishing touches to your masterpiece. When you walk in, all spots are already assigned so you don't need to get there too early to pick your seat. Showing up early does have a few perks since you can head over to the bar area at the back to grab some snacks and drinks while you enjoy a fun night painting. She was incredibly flexible with scheduling and working with me on the event planning. The location was easy to get to in Newport and the studio itself had the perfect amount of space for my group of 7 people. Be aware that you will have to pay for parking, but it's relatively inexpensive and done via app. During the event itself, Jeniece was patient and made jokes which we were very grateful for given that many of us hadn't painted or attempted visual art since high school. She provided the final product options and we voted on which we'd all complete. She was very attentive in the lesson -- she both demonstrated and walked around the class to see how we were progressing. She was incredibly positive with her feedback. The others, like Pinot's Palette had an answering machine that said they would call me back if I called within business hours, which I did and guess what? No call back. So Sarah answered and explained everything. She took my questions without an attitude (they were kinda dumb questions). After that she asked if I could pay through her website, which I could not because I was in commute between job sites. So she processed everything on the website for me. Great customer service. After I made reservations, she tailored the experience for me and my wife, because we were her only two customers for the night. That just meant we could do a learning class, step-by-step, or paint a picture of choice. We chose the latter. Sarah, then told me if the menu she offered so I ordered 2 bottles of wine and a 7 cheese plate. Great food. The food comes from the Cellar wine bar across the street. She had it already displayed by the time we arrived. Sarah was very friendly, she had a great playlist and walked us through everything. This is someone who loves her work and it shows in how she treats her guest. At the end of the night, we had some descent pictures and a great date.
