Store name matches the attitude of the associates/owner. I was testing hair claws, one of the ladies I think didn't like it. Asking if something was wrong with the clip. I think all women like see how easy the clips opens to tear the quality. I think she just didn't want you messing it up then leaving. My mom ended up purchasing a parole since we can't get them in Alaska. So 2 stars for being express nice to my Filipina mom, but she also agrees the attitude matches the associates. read more

I came from Sacramento to visit the Seafood City here and was very excited to explore the different stores in the vicinity. After a good meal at Chowking I saw this boutique and the scrubs caught my attention but I decided to go inside since they had Filipiniana displayed there. I didn't see the sign about no drinks allowed so I apologized when the elderly ladies told me I'm not allowed to bring it and had my companion hold the drink for me outside. I was looking at alampays and the filipiniana blazers and they suddenly asked me some off putting questions which made my cheerful excitement fade. The first lady was a bit helpful by showing me the different colors that they had then another lady came, she had heavy eyeliner on and I attempted to make small talk even, but they just stood there and gave me a look. I asked to see one that was black that was hung up and she said that I shouldnt try it on if it wont fit me and she wouldnt even show it if I'm not buying it. I told her that it should but she kept on eyeing me like she didn't want to even bother. She then said, "it's $110, you still gonna buy it?" I felt like I was getting body shamed and/or discriminated against, even after I spoke Tagalog to them! I then said okay, I'll just take a photo to show my mom, and then she pointed over to another sign saying no photos, and so I apologized again but at that point the lady just seemed impatiently peeved with me. It's unfortunate because I was actually interested in trying it and possibly buying it but because she assumed I was bigger than the size and couldnt afford it, I just walked away and thanked them. Sadly no photos to show read more

I came in around 1 PM to buy a cap and had a very disappointing experience. The associate and owner were both rude from the moment we entered because they were eating lunch. Even after letting us into the store, they repeatedly complained that they "should have closed the store" while they were eating. While I was trying to look at caps, the associate kept rushing me and made me feel unwelcome. When I finally picked one that was displayed on the top shelf, she told me I "had to buy it" because it was difficult to get it. Throughout the visit, both employees continued making comments about how we were interrupting their meal, including saying, "Hurry up, we are eating, you're disrupting our meal." Customers should not be made to feel like a burden for shopping during normal business hours. The service was unprofessional and uncomfortable, and I would not return based on this experience. If only I have read the reviews here from other customers, I wouldn't have come to the store. Sorry but thats the truth. Either change your attitude or close down your store. read more

The need to replace the older lady that just sit at the front the store. No wonder there's no customer. As soon as we entered the store. She stood up and said. "What are you looking? I said barong tagalog. Then she said, "if you are not ready to buy you cannot try to fit, and i am not ready to assist, but you can look." We're stunned by her comment. We're all like WTF. Then we left the place. Advice: some people have the chance to have business but ZERO customer service at all. No wonder all she does is sit at the front of the store waiting for grim ripper. What a waste of time. read more

Walking in, a frustrated lady approaches me and asks if i need help. I tell her Im looking for a Barong (a formal Filipino cultural shirt). She tells me that she is just the assistant, that the owner will be back from the bathroom, and not to touch anything because the owner will get angry. So I wait for the owner to help me, which she does. I try on a sized medium which was too small and she quotes at $150. Highway robbery people!!! i purchased a MUCH nicer one elsewhere for $50. I ask to try a size up and it was way too big, quotes it at $160 because it's bigger, and told her I'll look around more. She said "You should've told me so I wouldn't have opened it." *****HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE***** read more

1 star for sure After all this years this place has not change, still rude and customer service does not exist here. I don't even think those ladies knows what it means lol And pricing ouch!! Pls try to look for barong somewhere else $200 here! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother-in-law and I visited this store to inquire about a barong dress. While we were browsing, the saleslady abruptly told us that taking pictures was not allowed -- which we respected. One barong dress caught our eye, so I asked for the price. My mother-in-law, being honest, mentioned that we would come back once we had enough money. The saleslady coldly replied, "Come back when you already have enough money." We tried to brush it off with a laugh and continued to look around. Every time we stopped and checked a dress -- without even touching it -- she would say things like, "That won't fit on you." It was uncomfortable, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. We felt judged the entire time. We won't be coming back -- and we won't be recommending this place to anyone. Terrible customer service and an unwelcoming attitude. read more

The owner was extremely rude and fallowed me around the store and kept staring at me like if I was attempting to steal from the store when I asked if everything was okay she said nothing then I let her know I wasn't there to steal anything and she kept staring at me really rude lady and lost business today for her actions really disappointed in her behavior read more

The Store clerk was super rude once we entered. As soon as I walked in and touched a a headband she rushed to tell me I couldn't try it on while I could clearly see the other ladies around us were wearing them. There's no reason to discriminate or assume where going to rob. Way too stuck up read more

If I can give this store ZERO stars I absolutely would. They put in other things in a Brand box to sell and it was totally scammer. The associate seems nice while the lady who take charge is horrible! We bought $50 item while after 5 min we found out what they sell is some random low quality stuff in a brand box, we immediately went back and she said all sales all final and no exchange. Totally waste of money and time. Horrible experience for quite a while. We learned a lesson. We will never go near that store again. Even near by stores would suffer from that store as people might not even want to go near that Plaza again. read more

EVERYTHING YOU'RE READING IN THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE 1,000% TRUE. I wish we would've read these reviews before driving all the way here to shop for our cousin's wedding. They were so damn rude! We were set on buying a barong and bolero but she kept insinuating that we HAD to buy the item in order to try it on. But before she even said that, she kept thinking the barong was for a male. Kept saying to wait for "him" to come try it on. Which didn't make sense because if a male tried it on, she would've allowed it? My wife told her that it's for her multiple times. Then she looked at us sideways.. The AUDACITY! Doesn't seem like she wants business at all and she doesn't like it when you touch stuff. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anybody even if it was a last resort. If I could give no stars, that would be great. read more

The people who work here are snooty with an attitude. I was looking for a top to cover a dress and called the item a short jacket, to which the worker (owner?) scoffed and replied that it is called a bolero. Well, the definition of a "bolero" is a short jacket! The items are marked up so much. The small parols sell for $85 (I paid $25 for the same thing in Greenhills Shopping Center, Metro Manila). read more

I think the owner of the store really has an emotional attachment to her barongs, because she doesn't want customers to touch them, take photos of them, or try them on. We were ready to buy one, we just needed to see if it fits. We started out with one sales lady, and she was super helpful, but then the owner's Scooby sense realized we had the audacity of trying to buy one! she asked me when I needed the barong, I said for an event in October. Then she started yelling about not coming til we needed it? I asked her why she was yelling at me but, my husband said it wasn't worth the stress and we left without a barong. I am really tempted to open up my own Barong shop where anyone who wants one can try one on in peace and quiet. read more

My initial review got removed so I'm going to write it again, minus *some* words. If I can give this store ZERO stars I absolutely would. The lady who presumably owns the store is BEYOND RUDE. My dad had recently passed and me wanting to dress him in a traditional barong for his funeral services I thought to come here. Now I can speak and understand Tagalog very well, might not be an expert but my skills are definitely conversational. Anyhoo, my brother and I come here and start asking questions but as soon as the lady realized I wasn't actually going to buy it today she became super rude. As a customer I have the right to make an informed decision prior to buying. I was still grieving as he just passed the day before so I brushed it off.. Today, my mom brother and aunt came with me to try this store again to see if we can buy a camichino for dad. Said rude lady came up to and scolded us for looking through the shirts saying we don't know what it is and not to touch it. Excuse me? I'm almost positive we know what it is and if you can't handle customers touching product then please find a new business and don't sell clothes. Idk how this business is still up and running, do people really buy from here? Word of advice: look for a different Filipino business-- one that actually gives Filipino hospitality. read more

I really enjoy this boutique, it's a fairly small space but there's a really nice selection to choose from. Lots of Filipino styled dresses for any event. They have barongs, traditional Filipino dresses and they offer them in in adult sizes and some kid sizes. They have really cute keychains, accessories, and religious decor. The women don't follow you around anymore and they offer help when you walk in but if u say no they don't follow. 10/10, always looks forward to going in when I plan on going to seafood city read more

Barong was over priced. they didn't want to let customers to try it on before deciding to purchase. i also wanted to take a picture to see if my wife would like the design but they also didn't allow it. this store is like scammers who will not allow you to fit their merchandise if that suits or fit you. they do not allow you to exchange it for the right size , and you will just keep your clothes that is not fit for you , they say it will smell when you try them on. Macy's and big stores has the fitting area even in Baclaran Berma store will allow you to fit their clothing before you purchase them, but this store is way worse than scammers, they are expensive and judgemental in their customers. read more

Owner Lita has a nasty attitude, rude and a bully. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE. Store is over priced and the quality of the items are shitty.

No exchange no return and the owner not nice when I tried to return when I bought it they did not say I can't return

The old lady who owns this store is very rude.! I was choosing scrubs and of course you would make sure you dont get the style you dont want . She was hella mad. Wasnt my fault her sales lady didnt segregate the joggers from the regular scrubs. I bought 4 scrubs. Paying at the counter she would make you buy more stuff from her cheap store. She saw my Chanel necklace (which is real) and she pushed me to buy the cheap, fake chanel earrings she sells to match my real ones . She just charged me outright. When I got home , the earrings were disfigured, I cant straighten it afraid to break it more. So i had to return it. She just brushed me.off saying they dont do returns. And she was so rude !!! Never ever buy from this cheap , selling fake designer brands. Hey lady the customer is always right, and if you dont have nice customer service maybe you shouldnt be in that business. Shes even rude to her sales ladies. Never ever going back to this store. !!! Be careful what you touch and buy from this store. Your store speaks of you lady...ma-Arte ! read more

I had every intention of buying a few scrubs and a a couple of toys for the girls. As soon as we got there the lady who worked there came right out and told my kids not to touch anything and would snatch the toys they were holding away from them. she rudely repeated it over and over again even when my kids were just pointing at the toys. Lady, Why the hell would you put things out on display if you don't want them touched. Definitely not buying anything from this store. read more

Store is a rip-off. They overcharge one all the things I bought. Also, twice charged me for one item I bought. I should have checked my receipt and I did not check the items charged until I got home. The old lady on the cash register is not honest. Their products have no price tags only when I asked how much then verbally they will tell you. Please, please please be careful and check you receipt before you leave the store. First time been there and I am very disappointed. I've called all day and their phone is always busy. Will never ever go back. Stay away from this store. read more

The owner followed me around the entire tiny store and was literally on my back like I'm guessing they don't believe in social distancing. Plus I was the only one that was being followed like that.
