I'm really glad I called ARS Rescue Rooter in Webster. Jose Urdaneta was my technician, and he was fantastic. He offered honest, fair pricing, and the final cost ended up being far less than I anticipated. He also took the time to explain what was going on in a way that made sense, which I really appreciated. Great service all around. read more

9/21/2026: Had my normal ac checkup for the warranty. Tech came out told me I have a leak. Replaced coil that was under warranty and charged me $2400 that included 10lbs of R-410A freon at $256 per pound. Financed the entire amount. Finally received the invoice which was for $2341. Leaving a $59 difference. Now I'm having issues receiving a call back. The least they can do is refund me the $59. Don't ever have them do any kind of work on your property. Call someone else. Below is the standard response from ARS. No wonder several states have filed aganst them. There is a pending class action lawsuit that is scheduled to reach a settlement agreement around spring of 2027. Their business practices are unethical and predatory. I will be filing a consumer complaint with the Texas State Attorney General's office and I recommend everyone does the same. read more

We are beyond frustrated w this company. We had a technician come out and do a check on our a/c and we were told our unit was running on about 30%. Our house was still super cold (my husband and I are bougie when it comes to that), however our ac bill is around $700 a month. The sales man explained that this was a crazy high bill and that a new ac unit would fix it. We opted for a 34k top of the line unit. They were prompt in install (same day) and very professional. Now for the frustrating part. Our house will not cool below 74 degrees and that is w lights out, ovens off, and nothing running. Once you start cooking in the kitchen, turning lights on, etc. our ac is sitting at our around 76-78 degrees despite our thermostat being set to 70. We are in a constant sweat. We have reached out to this company multiple times and they send someone to look at it the same day (great, right?!) Wrong. They point their little gun at the air vents and tell us it's blowing at a cool 52 degrees but are unable to explain to us why our house isn't cooling. We've had two people come and do absolutely nothing for us. Needless to say, we are lividdddd that we spent 34k for a top of the line ac unit that will not keep our house cool. Look elsewhere for your needs. This is getting pretty ridiculous at this point and we are unsure of where to go from here. read more

This company talked me into a discount AC tune up which I was a bit leery of since they were offering the service inside a Home Depot. Should have listened to my gut. They no showed two separate days costing me vacation time. Wish I could bill them for my hourly work rate, they owe me about $1,000 for 1.5.days of wasted time and I still need an AC tune up. Don't use this company. read more

I had a clogged toilet that i could not resolve. so I call ARS to see if they could resolve this problem. When speaking to the person on the phone and I ask what would the charge be to unclog. He said there is no charge to do a simple unclog. I repeating this 5 times and got the same answer. So I schedule the appoitment. When the tech arrive he looked at the situation and proceeded to tell me this would be $300. How do you go from free to $300. What a bait and switch. This is why you never call a company that advertises on TV. I will not call them in the future for any issues I might have. read more

Warranty work on Air Condition. ARS came out and told me that it was 2k for the motor and 1200 for labor which is Ludicrous! They told me I would have to pay 50% for the part which would have been 1K and the 1200 for labor. Highway robbery. I am so happy there are still good people in this world, $300 dollar later. Super Kool to the rescue! Awesome owner! ARS you are a rip off. Shame on you read more

The worst of the worst. They ask for sign a monthly service (charge to account as ACH) I call for the twice a year service included on this program. Tech show and perform a service "7 points" on Ac (3) Units in my home. Guy walk in and out in about 10 minutes. I question.-you done? He said -Yes. Call back ask for supervisors, he didn't perform anything. Call again cuz a unit had a problem (was take care under "Service" call). They charge $460 more. I call asking about. No response. We had got our AC unit about three years ago and the evaporator cord went out. They proceeded to try to charge us $1000. We had to call the corporate office. We had a backup leading to our bathtub where we couldn't snake it out ourselves. We called ARS and they sent someone out within 4 hours. Christopher Faa took care of the problem in 20 minutes and we even have a 6 month warranty on it. I was quoted over $5,000 for a full system replacement after being told my compressor had 'overheated.' I fixed the issue myself for under $50 by replacing the capacitor and contactor -- the system runs perfectly now. I'm deeply concerned this was either misdiagnosed or intentionally upsold. Be cautious and consider a second opinion. read more

Emergency service request. Was told they would arrive TODAY. called 15 minutes after the window says we can't come today.

Our ac stopped working that they installed last year and we can't even get they to come fix it. it's still under warrant. we have been without ac for 2 day. I finally had to call McWilliam to come fix the problem. ARS has the worst customer service ever and I would not recommend them to anyone! read more

Very unprofessional company . They lack professionalism, work ethic and common sense. Management does not care for the customer satisfaction or making sure work is done correctly. It seems they hire untrained individuals with no experience in customer service . I am very disappointed but cannot expect much with the bad reviews given . read more

I had an absolute horrible experience with ARS. I contacted them as I was interested in 3 new toilets and 4 new bathroom faucets. The guy who came out to my home was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He yelled at my 87 year old father, who's had a stroke, for just asking a question. I told this guy to back off right now and that his attitude is unwarranted. This guy informed us, and per his words; " I've done this for 30 years and I know what I'm doing." Then he wanted me, the home owner, to purchase the toilets and faucets from Home Depot, Lowe's, and even Amazon and then he would come back to install them. What kind of professional service is he giving? (Or Lack There Of) Needless to say, regarding his nasty unprofessional attitude, that he knows what he is doing is extremely questionable!!! When I informed him it is not my responsibility to supply the toilets and faucets he then started yelling at me, the home owner, and that's when I told him to leave. Obviously, I went to another plumbing company and they got the job. The other plumbing company got the job for 3 new toilets, 4 new bathroom faucets, and a new tankless hot water heater. Shame on ARS for treating a potential customer with such utter disrespect. ARS only hurt themselves by losing thousands of dollars worth the business. Any response from ARS is 100% Superfluous. read more

Price gouged me for 1 pound of freon. I WAS CHARGED $464.00. The approximate time to put the freon in the system was 45 minutes.

Woke up on a Saturday morning (11/14) and noticed a leak in my living room coming from my bathroom. I called around 7AM and asked about an appointment. They said they could be here 12-4. Unfortunately, they did not show up until 6:00 and never called ahead. I had to consistently call just to make sure it was even happening. The technician who came out was very professional and suggested options for making the repair. We went based on his recommendation and he was able to locate the source of the leak and fix it. He assured us all was well and we were very thankful. However, we woke up the next morning and found our ceiling to be 10x worse with multiple leaks throughout the living room. We called the company right away and they said they could get someone back here this afternoon (11/15). The appointment was from 3-7. I called about three times during that time window to make sure that they were still coming because the leaks were getting worse by the hour and continuing to spread (yes, we turned off all the water knobs that we could). I called back again at 6 because we were nearing the end of the window. They assured me I was next. Around 7:30 (the window ended at 7) I called again and they said I was rescheduled for the following day. Nobody notified me of this and the leak is continuing to spread. 11/16 update: at 11:00 the technician finally came (I was told it would be 8). I updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars because the technician was great. He did a few tests and double checked everything to make sure there were no new leaks. Once you can get a technician, it's great. However, scheduling is a nightmare. Many hours are wasted waiting around for someone to show up and unfortunately they don't show up until hours after the window ends. No one called me to let me know my 11/15 appointment was moved to 11/16-I only knew that from calling. I would recommend going with this company if you have the time to wait. If it is an emergency and you need someone ASAP, I would look elsewhere. 11/18 update: I am moving this back to 1 star. Technician was very nice, but he has been out here twice and said the leak was fixed and I just needed to wait for it to dry out. When the water restoration people and insurance adjuster came out last night (11/17) they identified the new leak. And because it has been leaking, the entire wall, floor, and cabinets are now affected and will need to be replaced. I recommend looking elsewhere for a plumbing company. Between the inability to keep to the window and the fact that we now have even more water pooled behind the wall is deeply troubling. read more

They charged $89 to make an estimate while other plumbers are free to estimate. After we requested an estimate to do plumbing work: to move the gas line a foot to connect to the gas stove, and make pipes connected under the sink for the new sink faucet and dishwasher. The technician asked me for a paper and talked to another person (his boss?) to write down the estimate (later email me) which is more than double what other plumber's estimates. Do not use them or bother with their estimates. read more

We had a backed up sewer pipe two weekends in a row. There aren't many plumbers open on Saturdays but these guys were. When I called the answering service called us back to let us know when they could get here. They were here within a couple hours and were able to clear the line so we could use it. It backed up again the following weekend and we called them again. It wasn't cheap but on a Saturday, I wasn't looking for a bargain... just someone who could fix it! They cleared it again but we eventually ended up having to have 120 ft of new pipe laid as the pipes were old and broken. They did a great job though and were very knowledgeable and courteous! read more

ARS is overpriced and has inexperienced technicians. Brandon Comstock connected my main sewer line to the liquid tank instead of the solid waste tank. HORRIBLE PEOPLE and COMPANY! I never write these reviews and I'm open on these types of things, but these people at Webster location are trash. They base what they made off sales and commission, so they try to get every penny out of you. My dad is in his 60s and these people accidently put nail through the A/C wire that ran in the attic as they were replacing his pipes from galvanized to PEX. Well of course it shut his A/C off in July for 2 days. SO, ARS sends out their A/C People and they see the fuse panel had a popped fuse at the breaker box and where the problem was and wanted to charge him $7400 dollars for a new A/C unit when it ended up being a $60.00 dollar fix and they caused the problem!!! They won't call him back so I stepped in since he is older, and I can't get any call backs from them as well. read more

I needed a mini split air conditioner for my new sunroom. I had 4 companies come out to give me a bid. I was just sick listening to what they were telling me. LOTS more complicated than I read mini split systems were. It was MAJOR work -- they had it going through the attic -- one even mentioned drilling a hole in the brick into my clothes room! Three of the companies never even sent a bid. The one that did wanted $15,000 - the mini split system was around $1,000 $14,000 it is a little excessive for labor!!!. I was so disappointed. I put outa search through one of those services that sends your name to the companies. ARS called within 30 minutes on a Saturday evening. They sent the representative out on Sunday. He came out, took a look, and said exactly what I read mini splits should be. No b.s. I asked if he could email me a bid as soon as possible. He said, "I can give you a bid right now." It was very reasonable. When the air conditioning was ready to be installed, they were here the next day. They worked all day and did a fantastic job installing it. The electrician came out today to hook it up and it is just fabulous. From the very start of the process, they have been honest, extremely prompt, and so very, very easy to work with. We are going to have them replace one of our HVAC's in our house now -- we were just so pleased with the way they do business. read more

Had a backup affecting the upstairs toilet and shower. They suggested I remove the toilet to save more than $300 which I did so he could put a camera in. The guy they sent over was super nice, but just didn't know how to fix the issue. After spending almost $1000 on 3 visits and them wanting to charge again even though it was supposed to be warranted for 30 days their option was then to do a repipe. Then they didn't show up twice to give me a quote for that job. After more than a week of complete frustration I then called a different company and they came out and put a power jet in and fixed the problem right away. My advice, call a different company. read more

We paid this company to replace some duct work in our home, specifically in our master bedroom, upstairs office and baby's room. They came out and installed some duct work, none of which went into the rooms where we were quoted. We have now been dealing with them, well trying to work with them for a month or two. As the summer continues to fast approach, we continue to be in the hot in these three rooms. The duct work is 100% the problem and they have yet to address this or any issue we've had with the work preformed. They say they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but they do everything in their power to ignore you once you inform them of your dissatisfaction. I would recommend not using these guys for duct work at all. read more

This started with a backed up toilet and has lead to a total drain pipe replacement which now I don't even know if I really needed. I trusted ARS and Brandon and went woth them even though their bid was a few thousand dollars hirer than others because I trusted Brandon. This company preformed such a bait and switch. Sent out a technician Brandon who promised my $22,000 drain pipe replacement job would be done in a week. I was never told I'd be with out water, but on 2 seperate days they showed up and cut all the water off with out telling me anything. Mind you with 4 kids in the house. Now after more than 2 weeks, they have stopped working. Brandon stopped responding to texts and calls. Even after I called the main office I still have gotten no response. They unwrapped the main water pipe to my house for absolutely no reason and now it some how has a leak. I had to patch it because no one from ARS will respond to me. This morning I realize that after they worked under my bathroom sink, it now has a leak that has damages the cabinet and drawer. They requested funding from my bank even before the city inspector had come out, which I thankfully stopped. Do NOT fall for their lies, they have left my yard a mess, broken 2 pipes, and won't respond! read more

Called them because of their $69 drain cleaning special. While speaking with the appointment setter I explained that the kitchen and laundry line between the house and sewer was plugged. The lady told me that in order to qualify for the special it had to have a clean out which it does. When the plumber came he said that it did not qualify because it had to be a "main" line. He then quoted 2 prices of $275 and $400. After he explained the difference I opted for the $400 service as it provided a better result. After my wife came home I found out that the lines for the kitchen and the lines for the bathrooms both feed into the exact same spot at the city sewer as they are Yed together. That in my mind makes them both main lines as our home is split in the middle, baths on one side, kitchen on the other. I explained this when I booked the appointment and was told the $69 special would apply. I could have told the Plummer I would find someone else to do the job but have a multi handicapped individual living in the home and cant be without laundry for more than a day. So i gave a bad review as i felt i had been mislead. I recieved a call from ARS and explained the situation. The Representative after giving me several diffrent excuses finally says, "it sounds like our appointment person needs additional training." That tells me that she understood I had not been given correct information. ARS advertised that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. "If we cant correct the problem we will refund 100% of the cost." That guarantee is apparently not worth the paper it's written on. The Plummer himself we friendly and courteous. He is not at fault if the office person, who it turns out is an outside contractor working at another location. It sounded like, from her description, she isnt even in Texas. Usually outside appointment people are paid by the bookings they obtain. If this is the case she would have incentive to mislead, or at very least neglect to give a customer all the information in order to book the job. Anyway, if you do business here be very diligent, pay close attention to what your be told and perhaps even record it. We have done business with ARS for years and this is the first real problem we have had, but when they drop the ball they drop it from the stratosphere. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I called to have someone come fix my clogged kitchen sink. Oscar came out, but did not fix it because he said it would be cheaper the next day. I said that's fine. He stayed in my house for over a hour after we decided we would do the service the next day. He made me feel so uncomfortable and scared since I'm a single mom and no other adult was in the home. He told me he used to be a marine and killed people and it wouldn't bother him to kill someone now. He was trying to hit on me. He told me he was in a unhappy marriage and his grown kids and grandkids lived with him. He stated that he works 7 days a week so he doesn't have to be home and wants out of the relationship. On and on he talked. I was to scared to tell him to leave since he mentioned he didn't have a problem killing people. All I wanted was for him to leave on his own so my kids and I would be safe. I called and complained to corporate. Amanda tried to help. She told me she would schedule someone else to come out the next day to do the work and my window was from 9-1. No one ever showed up. When I called dispatch I was told I wasn't even on the list. So he put me on the list from 2-6. It's almost 7:00 and still no one is here. I called dispatch again and Dominic was very rude and sarcastic. I asked when someone was coming out and she said "well you don't want Oscar so you will have to wait". Of course I don't want Oscar!!!! On top of being made uncomfortable in my own home I had to pay $80 for a service call. I would never use this company again and hope people take my comment as a warning to not use them either. read more
