We had a backed up sewer pipe two weekends in a row. There aren't many plumbers open on Saturdays but these guys were. When I called the answering service called us back to let us know when they could get here. They were here within a couple hours and were able to clear the line so we could use it. It backed up again the following weekend and we called them again. It wasn't cheap but on a Saturday, I wasn't looking for a bargain... just someone who could fix it! They cleared it again but we eventually ended up having to have 120 ft of new pipe laid as the pipes were old and broken. I had a clogged toilet that i could not resolve. so I call ARS to see if they could resolve this problem. When speaking to the person on the phone and I ask what would the charge be to unclog. He said there is no charge to do a simple unclog. I repeating this 5 times and got the same answer. So I schedule the appoitment. When the tech arrive he looked at the situation and proceeded to tell me this would be $300. How do you go from free to $300. What a bait and switch. The worst of the worst. They ask for sign a monthly service (charge to account as ACH) I call for the twice a year service included on this program. I had an absolute horrible experience with ARS. I contacted them as I was interested in 3 new toilets and 4 new bathroom faucets. The guy who came out to my home was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He yelled at my 87 year old father, who's had a stroke, for just asking a question. I told this guy to back off right now and that his attitude is unwarranted. This guy informed us, and per his words; " I've done this for 30 years and I know what I'm doing." Then he wanted me, the home owner, to purchase the toilets and faucets from Home Depot, Lowe's, and even Amazon and then he would come back to install them. What kind of professional service is he giving? (Or Lack There Of) Needless to say, regarding his nasty unprofessional attitude, that he knows what he is doing is extremely questionable!!! When I informed him it is not my responsibility to supply the toilets and faucets he then started yelling at me, the home owner, and that's when I told him to leave. Obviously, I went to another plumbing company and they got the job. The other plumbing company got the job for 3 new toilets, 4 new bathroom faucets, and a new tankless hot water heater. Woke up on a Saturday morning (11/14) and noticed a leak in my living room coming from my bathroom. I called around 7AM and asked about an appointment. They said they could be here 12-4. Unfortunately, they did not show up until 6:00 and never called ahead. I had to consistently call just to make sure it was even happening. The technician who came out was very professional and suggested options for making the repair. We went based on his recommendation and he was able to locate the source of the leak and fix it. He assured us all was well and we were very thankful. However, we woke up the next morning and found our ceiling to be 10x worse with multiple leaks throughout the living room. We called the company right away and they said they could get someone back here this afternoon (11/15). The appointment was from 3-7. I called about three times during that time window to make sure that they were still coming because the leaks were getting worse by the hour and continuing to spread (yes, we turned off all the water knobs that we could). I called back again at 6 because we were nearing the end of the window. They assured me I was next. Around 7:30 (the window ended at 7) I called again and they said I was rescheduled for the following day. Nobody notified me of this and the leak is continuing to spread. 11/16 update: at 11:00 the technician finally came (I was told it would be 8). I updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars because the technician was great. He did a few tests and double checked everything to make sure there were no new leaks. Once you can get a technician, it's great. However, scheduling is a nightmare. Many hours are wasted waiting around for someone to show up and unfortunately they don't show up until hours after the window ends. No one called me to let me know my 11/15 appointment was moved to 11/16-I only knew that from calling. I would recommend going with this company if you have the time to wait. If it is an emergency and you need someone ASAP, I would look elsewhere. 11/18 update: I am moving this back to 1 star. Technician was very nice, but he has been out here twice and said the leak was fixed and I just needed to wait for it to dry out. When the water restoration people and insurance adjuster came out last night (11/17) they identified the new leak. And because it has been leaking, the entire wall, floor, and cabinets are now affected and will need to be replaced. I recommend looking elsewhere for a plumbing company. Between the inability to keep to the window and the fact that we now have even more water pooled behind the wall is deeply troubling. read more

They charged $89 to make an estimate while other plumbers are free to estimate. After we requested an estimate to do plumbing work: to move the gas line a foot to connect to the gas stove, and make pipes connected under the sink for the new sink faucet and dishwasher. The technician asked me for a paper and talked to another person (his boss?) to write down the estimate (later email me) which is more than double what other plumber's estimates. I needed a mini split air conditioner for my new sunroom. I had 4 companies come out to give me a bid. I was just sick listening to what they were telling me. LOTS more complicated than I read mini split systems were. It was MAJOR work -- they had it going through the attic -- one even mentioned drilling a hole in the brick into my clothes room! Three of the companies never even sent a bid. The one that did wanted $15,000 - the mini split system was around $1,000 $14,000 it is a little excessive for labor!!!. I was so disappointed. I put outa search through one of those services that sends your name to the companies. ARS called within 30 minutes on a Saturday evening. They sent the representative out on Sunday. He came out, took a look, and said exactly what I read mini splits should be. No b.s. I asked if he could email me a bid as soon as possible. He said, "I can give you a bid right now." It was very reasonable. When the air conditioning was ready to be installed, they were here the next day. They worked all day and did a fantastic job installing it. The electrician came out today to hook it up and it is just fabulous. From the very start of the process, they have been honest, extremely prompt, and so very, very easy to work with. We are going to have them replace one of our HVAC's in our house now -- we were just so pleased with the way they do business. read more

HORRIBLE PEOPLE and COMPANY! I never write these reviews and I'm open on these types of things, but these people at Webster location are trash. They base what they made off sales and commission, so they try to get every penny out of you. My dad is in his 60s and these people accidently put nail through the A/C wire that ran in the attic as they were replacing his pipes from galvanized to PEX. Well of course it shut his A/C off in July for 2 days. SO, ARS sends out their A/C People and they see the fuse panel had a popped fuse at the breaker box and where the problem was and wanted to charge him $7400 dollars for a new A/C unit when it ended up being a $60.00 dollar fix and they caused the problem!!! They won't call him back so I stepped in since he is older, and I can't get any call backs from them as well. read more

Had a backup affecting the upstairs toilet and shower. They suggested I remove the toilet to save more than $300 which I did so he could put a camera in. The guy they sent over was super nice, but just didn't know how to fix the issue. After spending almost $1000 on 3 visits and them wanting to charge again even though it was supposed to be warranted for 30 days their option was then to do a repipe. Then they didn't show up twice to give me a quote for that job. This started with a backed up toilet and has lead to a total drain pipe replacement which now I don't even know if I really needed. I trusted ARS and Brandon and went woth them even though their bid was a few thousand dollars hirer than others because I trusted Brandon. This company preformed such a bait and switch. Sent out a technician Brandon who promised my $22,000 drain pipe replacement job would be done in a week. I was never told I'd be with out water, but on 2 seperate days they showed up and cut all the water off with out telling me anything. Mind you with 4 kids in the house. Now after more than 2 weeks, they have stopped working. Brandon stopped responding to texts and calls. Even after I called the main office I still have gotten no response. They unwrapped the main water pipe to my house for absolutely no reason and now it some how has a leak. I had to patch it because no one from ARS will respond to me. This morning I realize that after they worked under my bathroom sink, it now has a leak that has damages the cabinet and drawer. They requested funding from my bank even before the city inspector had come out, which I thankfully stopped. We paid this company to replace some duct work in our home, specifically in our master bedroom, upstairs office and baby's room. They came out and installed some duct work, none of which went into the rooms where we were quoted. We have now been dealing with them, well trying to work with them for a month or two. As the summer continues to fast approach, we continue to be in the hot in these three rooms. The duct work is 100% the problem and they have yet to address this or any issue we've had with the work preformed. They say they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but they do everything in their power to ignore you once you inform them of your dissatisfaction. Called them because of their $69 drain cleaning special. While speaking with the appointment setter I explained that the kitchen and laundry line between the house and sewer was plugged. The lady told me that in order to qualify for the special it had to have a clean out which it does. When the plumber came he said that it did not qualify because it had to be a "main" line. He then quoted 2 prices of $275 and $400. After he explained the difference I opted for the $400 service as it provided a better result. After my wife came home I found out that the lines for the kitchen and the lines for the bathrooms both feed into the exact same spot at the city sewer as they are Yed together. That in my mind makes them both main lines as our home is split in the middle, baths on one side, kitchen on the other. I explained this when I booked the appointment and was told the $69 special would apply. I could have told the Plummer I would find someone else to do the job but have a multi handicapped individual living in the home and cant be without laundry for more than a day. So i gave a bad review as i felt i had been mislead. I recieved a call from ARS and explained the situation. The Representative after giving me several diffrent excuses finally says, "it sounds like our appointment person needs additional training." That tells me that she understood I had not been given correct information. ARS advertised that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. "If we cant correct the problem we will refund 100% of the cost." That guarantee is apparently not worth the paper it's written on. The Plummer himself we friendly and courteous. He is not at fault if the office person, who it turns out is an outside contractor working at another location. It sounded like, from her description, she isnt even in Texas. Usually outside appointment people are paid by the bookings they obtain. If this is the case she would have incentive to mislead, or at very least neglect to give a customer all the information in order to book the job. Anyway, if you do business here be very diligent, pay close attention to what your be told and perhaps even record it. We have done business with ARS for years and this is the first real problem we have had, but when they drop the ball they drop it from the stratosphere. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I called to have someone come fix my clogged kitchen sink. Oscar came out, but did not fix it because he said it would be cheaper the next day. I said that's fine. He stayed in my house for over a hour after we decided we would do the service the next day. He made me feel so uncomfortable and scared since I'm a single mom and no other adult was in the home. He told me he used to be a marine and killed people and it wouldn't bother him to kill someone now. He was trying to hit on me. He told me he was in a unhappy marriage and his grown kids and grandkids lived with him. He stated that he works 7 days a week so he doesn't have to be home and wants out of the relationship. On and on he talked. I was to scared to tell him to leave since he mentioned he didn't have a problem killing people. All I wanted was for him to leave on his own so my kids and I would be safe. I called and complained to corporate. Amanda tried to help. She told me she would schedule someone else to come out the next day to do the work and my window was from 9-1. No one ever showed up. When I called dispatch I was told I wasn't even on the list. So he put me on the list from 2-6. It's almost 7:00 and still no one is here. I called dispatch again and Dominic was very rude and sarcastic. I asked when someone was coming out and she said "well you don't want Oscar so you will have to wait". Of course I don't want Oscar!!!! On top of being made uncomfortable in my own home I had to pay $80 for a service call.
