By the way, I encourage you to read the other reviews; The company takes no responsibility when anything goes wrong in a property they manage--it is all someone else's fault, not theirs to blame or apparently to remediate. Diirty rentals, why, the previous renters caused that (no kidding)--never mind that they were supposed to clean it thoroughly after each rental and were paid by the previous renters to do so! How dare you complain--silly new renters--do you really expect a clean home for your measly $400 a night (which they take $120), plus 100% of the cleaning fees. Don't be silly! Rolf, I gave you the money to hire a photographer and market the property, which you did not deliver on both counts. The visits you made by you and your team were to assess the property and to set and recommend the rent we should charge--you don't get paid for those visits--I have never paid a real estate agent before they sold or found a home for me. The bathrooms were clean , and yes they flush , not a portable potty. There is a small play area for kids and some benches with Barbecues. If you need the code for the gate the lodge will provide. If you are a local, contact the ALA . You can fish here, but there are signs everywhere saying do not eat what you catch and NO swimming. There are pretty foul life such as ducks and some geese , but the fish don't look so good . I saw at lease 5 dead catfish and 3 carp fish floating on the water. The water is very murky and dirty looking. It didn't smell though, and there was no trash in it. So the lake is look but don't touch status.

It's similar to how I remember, stayed in a more convenient chalet this time. Check in is easy but not in the same area as where the timeshares are located. You first must drive to the Lake Arrowhead Village to find the check in office. It will be on the upper level, directly across from Stater Bros Market, just under the CLOCKTOWER. After getting our keys, gate clicker and welcome pack, we headed up to find our unit. This trips chalet was much more convenient than what I remember from what I was a kid, and some of these reviews. While the majority of the chalets must be accessed by steep stairs, we lucked out and got a lower level chalet with only one flight of stairs and a parking garage! After unloading and parking in our garage spot, the kids and inspected the unit. Awesome two story unit with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bath. The .5 bath doubles as a laundry room with washer and dryer. The first bedroom is furnished with a dresser and two twins, perfect for the kids. But of course they want to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. The master comes furnished with a dresser, a cal king and Samsung flatscreen on the wall. Bed was comfier than most places I've stayed. Love the cabin feel of the living room with the stone fireplace. You have firewood delivered as well. Comes furnished with two chairs and a sofa bed. Wall mounted Samsung flatscreen and a Toshiba DVD player to play your own dvds you can bring. Kitchen was nicer than I expected from the reviews I looked at. Fully equipped kitchen, gas stove and oven, pots pans and glass dishes for baking. Dishwasher worked well but it doesn't quit fit in the space so the door was a little awkward to close and seal. That would be my only complaint. We came for the snow and snow there was! Right up the walking path, towards the clubhouse we found a hill to sled and tube down. This meant no driving and finding a place or paying for a park entry fee. Thank you very much for the memories Lake Arrowhead Chalets, we will be back spring/summer for some fishing and hiking!

Fresh cut log benches set in stadium seating facing the alter which was overlooking Lake Arrowhead. You felt like you were floating in the clouds. The main house is beautifully decorated inside and out with a gorgeous outdoor fireplace and large deck where we had our reception. We had our first dance in front of the lit fireplace outside. More than enough room to sleep multiple people or even families. The guest house is huge and more than accommodated our family members plus there are two "tree houses" and a tee-pee on the property as well! All of them have electricity and beds. On top of the place being gorgeous, everyone was so nice and always made sure we had everything we needed. Always on call if you have a question or need anything. It was just perfect. We stayed for 5 days but honestly wished we would have stayed longer. Highly recommend Pine Mountain for your next family vacation, wedding or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city below. The daily buffets will leave you (and your pants) feeling like you just came off a cruise ship. The entire staff is amazing. Be sure to tip well! They all deserve it. They have a drop slot at the front desk where you can leave a tip envelope at the end of your stay. I love coming back each year and seeing familiar faces. It's nice that the staff remembers us as well. They take the comment cards seriously, as they are always trying to improve their services. And they do their best to accommodate special requests as well! Just for giggles, I submitted a request for the honor bar via email. And I was very happily surprised when the item I requested was ready and waiting for me! I wish I had known about Bruin woods when I was at ucla. There are also 3 new Pickleball courts at a park 15 minutes away by car. Don't bother walking to the lake or village. All downhill to get there thus all uphill back. Now the downsides. Awful driveway. Super steep and you need a running start. We got stuck and needed AAA. There are 34 stairs up from the road to the entrance. Stairs are falling apart with nails sticking up, a couple of broken treads. Then another set of stairs to get to the second floor with narrow treads. Overall, still recommended if you don't mind all the stairs and you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the driveway. Those two items would preclude our return.
