First of all the cabin was really tiny even for just the two of us but it was very cozy. Everything was clean and pretty much everything you need in that space. One night stayed came with 3 wood bundles and a few starters which is enough through the whole dinner time.We didn't use kitchen inside the cabin at all.First time we cooked a steak on the bonfire and the second time I brought pre made food from home and just reheat it on the bonfire.Keep in mind,If you wanna grill anything on the fire you have to used Tinfoil and do not cook your meat directly on the grilled.(I think it was written somewhere) Inside cabin they provided an electric stove top,Plates and all kitchen utensils including dish soap and sponge. Both my husband and I have cell phone service just fine (Verizon) but when you're surrounded with that beautiful nature just leave your phone in the cellphone lockbox and forget about it (Just don't forget it when you check out) There were 2 electrical outlets that I saw so far inside the cabins.One was by the bed or by the dining table (Depend on which cabins you got) and another one next to toilet in the bathroom.Was it convenience? Not really but it's doable for us. Water pressure was good but used water one thing at the time.No sink and shower in the same time. There was no mirror or bathroom sink whatsoever,so get a lil creative of How you would put make up on or brush your teeth. Each cabins have there own individual parking,So don't worried about it. On the second visited there was cute deers walked by really close to our cabins.Love that! Customer service were great! Basically anything you need or any questions just text them. There was no front desk to check in or out.Before 4 pm which is check in time they will texted you the code and the instructions and then before check out time they will text you another code for check out.Easy and convenience. We can't wait to go back for the third time,Hopefully we can make it happen soon!

12/12/25 - 12/25/25…read more This was our last vacation before our baby would be born in March 2026. The drive down to the location wasn't bad, but it was pretty spooky the last 20 minutes or so going up the mountain since it was late at night when we arrived (10 PM). A huge plus for going here was that they are dog friendly. We had seen some reels of Postcard Cabins on Instagram and wanted to experience it for ourselves. Now if you like being cozy, this is the perfect place for you. BUT if you're the type of person that needs to stretch out and have lots and lots of space, don't even bother. My husband and I were interested in the tiny cabin experience and we wanted to unplug from the world a bit with just us three (me, Zach and our dog Coco) before our baby girl arrived. After we got ourselves situated, we pretty much passed out since we had been driving all day. What we failed to notice that first night was that the bed sheets had a big stain. Was it red wine or blood?....we didn't know, but I saw that after waking up the next morning. We texted Marriot (who owns the cabins) to have them changed, which they did later in the day because their staff start at 10:30AM. Our tiny cabin was equipped with a heater (didn't need that since we were warm inside) and A/C which unfortunately was not even cold. Upon entering the cabin, the door to the bathroom is on your right. The size of the bathroom (toilet and shower) is the size of a small closet with a teeny window to vent out smell. At least we get hot water for the shower thankfully. There's a small hot water tank that lives under the cabin. The bed is a size queen which is fine if you are used to that size mattress, but it was tight for us with me being 7 months pregnant and Coco sleeping on the bed with us (she's a 50lb dog). Complimentary items include: instant oatmeal, two water bottles, popcorn, 2 smokes kits and instant coffee. In the cabinets you'll find a kettle, a lighter, a lantern, cups, pots, plates and pans. Right by the cabin, there is a firewood starter kit and wood bundles. The view is pretty nice and the cabins are spaced out from each other so you have privacy. I would say overall it wasn't the best but it also wasn't too unpleasant of an experience. Maybe we'll try it again with our daughter sometime in the future.

The last time was October 2020, and it was great to discover that UCLA continues to upgrade its facilities with new amenities including a tavern (they serve adult beverages!) as well as pickleball courts. We've enjoyed our visits every time, but IMO the cabins are due for a renovation/upgrade. After our most recent visit Memorial Day weekend, I would also warn guests to beware of oakworms or leafrollers (moth caterpillars that rappel down on silken threads) which seemed to be everywhere this time of year. We are a family of UCLA alumni and our getaways to Lake Arrowhead always have a special place in our hearts, so allow me to finish with...GO BRUINS!!! [Insert 8-Clap Here]

The main lodge had tea and coffee stocked every day, which was so nice. Rooms also came equipped with a Keurig in case you didn't want to make the trek to the lodge. The staff were incredibly kind. From food staff to receptionist to bar staff, everyone was so accommodating. One small thing though was the drinks from the bar tasted a bit funny. Both mine and my partner's drinks had this weird barbecue sauce flavor, which was odd! The lodge is a quick 20-minute (free) bus ride to the village, which is small but definitely worth a visit. :)

Our tent was clean and the layout and amenities were well thought out. The pool and community bathrooms were very clean and well taken care of. There are also a lot of activities offered here- ping pong, foosball, a clubhouse with games and books, swimming, hiking, movies, smores, yoga. All make for a fun weekend. Some helpful tips that we would like to offer: - no cellular data here, which was fine with us since we wanted to disconnect. There is only WiFi in the reception area. - pool is filled with spring water (read: cold), we would recommend to visit during the thick of summer if you're coming with kids. While the adults enjoyed the crisp water, it was a bit too cold for some of our kids. - the food is on the expensive end- $20ish burger + fries, $12 yogurt bowl, $11 smoothies (I was disappointed to see how little fruit and veggies went into our smoothies- they're mostly juice). - a loooot of yellow insects with stingers- they could be wasps or yellow jackets, not sure. I would bring the strong (deet) bug spray here because we had a the non-deet stuff and it did not work. The wasps tend to swarm where ever there's food, so it was kind of hard to enjoy a meal, both at our tent and at the cafe area. This is probably something that just comes with being outdoors, and not a Huttopia issue. But I'm including this info to try to help future visitors come prepared.

Fresh cut log benches set in stadium seating facing the alter which was overlooking Lake Arrowhead. You felt like you were floating in the clouds. The main house is beautifully decorated inside and out with a gorgeous outdoor fireplace and large deck where we had our reception. We had our first dance in front of the lit fireplace outside. More than enough room to sleep multiple people or even families. The guest house is huge and more than accommodated our family members plus there are two "tree houses" and a tee-pee on the property as well! All of them have electricity and beds. On top of the place being gorgeous, everyone was so nice and always made sure we had everything we needed. Always on call if you have a question or need anything. It was just perfect. We stayed for 5 days but honestly wished we would have stayed longer. Highly recommend Pine Mountain for your next family vacation, wedding or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city below. From spices and coffee and tea in the kitchen! To first aid and suntan lotion and Band-Aids in the bathrooms! And beautiful dinnerware and wine glasses, so plentiful! Every room was beautifully painted, artfully decorated, and ultimately comfortable! there were four TVs in the house, and comfy couches and chairs and pillows to enjoy! The house is so spacious, that each of us could do our own thing, And not run into the other three! That was possible, but that did not happen because we stuck together and enjoyed every room in the house, not to mention the deck outside the living room with chairs and barbecue, And the deck outside our master bedroom with chairs and table as well! The beds were just yummy and comfortable! The towels were big, fat & fluffy! I can't think of a thing that we needed! This house was decorated and supplied to perfection! In addition the Oktoberfest in the village was a blast, and the people were so great! There was such fantastic shopping, That I had to get matching plaid outfits for my three-year-old twin grandkids! We absolutely loved and enjoyed every moment at Honey Pine Lodge! And frosting on the cake? We did not have to climb 200 stairs to the front door! We pulled right up to the house! Easy peasy!
