I'm writing this review because I wished that someone would have told me about the level of service I would receive here, from the CHIROPRACTOR, Dr. Parish. Here I am in complete pain, and was being talked to like I was being reprimanded as a child for wearing a neck brace that I thought was helping me, instead of hendering my healing. But that was just one of the many things wrong with this place. I went here initially because like most assume, they feel as though Arrowhead Clinic will be a professional atmosphere with many years of customer service experience. I will say that the young girls assisting the doctor were more than kind and patient. But he's a pure asshole for lack of a better term. Now let me explain.
I am an African American womann and could not help but notice that the string of patients he had coming through his office were mostly from low income areas, bless their hearts. But that to me always draws a red flag, because there may have been a target in place for those that could easily be taken advantage of, manipulated, and swindled out of their money more easily. That was the first strike.
Next it was my turn to see Dr. Parish, and he immediately looked at me like I was crazy, and very much had an attitude when he said, "Why are you still wearing that neck brace, when was your car accident?" After I explained that it had been the week prior, he said to "Take it off, cause I'm prolonging the healing process." Of course I immediately took it off, although still very much in pain. We talked about how the accident happened first, because im assuming he wanted to make sure he had a good case to get his compensation, fair enough, I guess. Then he asked how I would pay for it. I told him I was coming to see how exactly all of that worked out because I've never been in an car accident before and if I could call my mother and have her listen in on the conversation to help me figure out what I needed to do. Well that's when his attitude got even worse when he said, "No, you can't call her. Is your mother going to be paying your bills? You need to grow up and make these decisions for yourself." Of course this comment came shortly after he had explained that he had just helped his young adult son paint a dresser, and that's why his fingers appearing dirty. In utter shock I just sat there and tried to remember what all he was saying so I could tell her later. He was not nice, at all. I didn't enjoy his company period in that room with him at that point. I was extremely uncomfortable and not to mention, in pain. After he explained that he would do nothing for me unless I spoke to his lawyer first, I decided to at least listen. That's when his attitude improved, a little bit. I guess when he saw the dollar signs he figured he could put up with me for a while longer. But before then they took some xrays of me, which I didnt understand why I just wanted to speak with the lawyer. The lawyer ended up being so kind, I really liked him and would not have minded working with him, if it weren't for Dr. Parish. I declined their offer and walked out. I noticed how kind Dr. Parish was to the customers that were apparently already paying. He doesn't really care about people if you ask me, he's there for the paycheck, and to wear a painted smile on his face for preexisting customers. A few weeks later I got a bill in the mail for those stupid xrays that I didnt ask for. Of course they did that so they could get something out of my visit. I found another chiropractor with some manners, professionalism, and just someone who truly cares about people. Dr. Parish is not one of those individuals. I would never use him for any service. He's not kind, considerate, and has obviously been practicing so long he's numb to the fact that some people are actually in pain, and have never had a car accident. I hope he retires soon. Take my advice, seek care elsewhere. read more
