He did a great job explaining what was important without making minor issues seem bigger than they were. He didn't try to find reasons for us not to move forward with the home: he gave us a fair-minded assessment based on his findings. The quality of the inspection was excellent. We added the sewer scope and radon testing, and I'm very glad we did. The inspection and resulting report were comprehensive and gave us a much better understanding of the home we're purchasing. I also thought the value was excellent. Given how significant a home purchase is, the cost was very reasonable for the level of detail, expertise, and peace of mind we received. I would highly recommend Total House Inspection, and especially John, to anyone buying a home. Great service, excellent quality, and well worth the investment.

Finding a skilled, honest, and trustworthy contractor these days can feel impossible, but we were…read morelucky enough to find Claudio. As first-time homeowners, we had a rough experience with another company that refinished our floors. After removing the carpeting from our stairs, they were left noticeably noisy, but the company went ahead and refinished them anyway without giving us a heads-up--leaving us no opportunity to explore other options for addressing the issue. On top of that, they left stain all over our trim, doors, and walls. We were frustrated and disappointed--until Claudio came in and made everything right. He meticulously added shoe molding throughout our entire upstairs, prepping, priming, and painting all the trim to perfection. On our staircase, he installed cove molding, carefully nailing it into place to help with the noise while also covering the gap between the treads and risers for a more seamless look. He then prepped, primed, and painted the risers and stringers, giving the staircase a beautifully finished appearance. He even went above and beyond, covering the stain left behind on our walls and doors, making everything look fresh and cohesive again. Claudio is not just incredibly skilled at his craft--he's also professional, hardworking, and truly cares about the quality of his work. He's fairly priced and willing to work with you if needed, which we really appreciated. He was so trustworthy that we felt completely comfortable giving him a key to our home while we were at work. Now, thanks to Claudio, we are proud to show off our home, and the results speak for themselves (check out the before & after photos attached!). Unfortunately, Google erased Claudio's well-earned reviews, so we're more than happy to share our experience and recommend him wholeheartedly. We look forward to using him again in the future for our carpentry and painting needs. If you need someone who is thorough, talented, and genuinely cares, Claudio is the one to call!

Kapalua just sanded & finished my floors. They look phenomenal!…read more The information they provide the client is very professional, and they document change controls/billing well. However, don't necessarily expect them to listen to everything you request. I requested thresholds for the bedrooms. It was in the quote & therefore my contract. It was in the installers instructions. The installers said they would install them on second day. However, they were not installed. When requested thresholds to be delivered to me, stained, so I could install them, the response back I received was no we would rather not, but if you want them at a later date, we will do it. Yes they took the thresholds off the invoice. But that's not the point. If you tell the customer we can do that, but decide you don't want to do that, then why did you tell me in the first place? And if you forgot to do that task, why not make it right and complete the task?

He identified the leak and corrected the problem that day. Additionally he went above and beyond to ID where the water had caused damage and where I had potential mold. He immediately began mold remediation that stopped the problem and began corrective measures. He then worked with me to schedule a time when I was traveling for work to come back and replace my cabinets, kitchen flooring and replace the insulation in my basement crawl space. This was big concern for me because I have a dog and the work would have made him anxious. Ryan scheduled my work in the middle of a personal project he was completing. It was not convenient for him but he knew it was the best for me and made it work. He got all this done, as he promised, during the 2 day period I was out of the house. I came back to a new floor and mold free kitchen and crawl space. As a bonus, he noticed my storm door had broken and fixed that for me without me ever mentioning it or asking him to do it. Finding a reliable home inspection and repair company seems to always be a guessing game. However when you hire Ryan you can be assured that the work will be done correctly and on time. He is sensitive to any special concerns you have (I.e. scheduling around your schedule) and makes sure the work is done properly even if it means going above and beyond what was discussed. I am thankful to have him to call for my home concerns. ** also I saw Ryan drive down my street several times and he does not drive in the manner the previous reviewer described.
