James contacted me in a timely manner to make an appointment. He worked around my schedule to meet me and give me a solution and an estimate. He listened to my description of basement problem and gave me the specifications to the system they would install. I'll share with you that from the beginning of the install thru completion and clean up they were awesome. He introduced his crew who were all super professional. I was so relieved to have the job done.The cost was very reasonable considering I have a finished basement. And the results are wonderful! I can't believe how dry my basement is now. They gave us back our living space. My wife and I are completely satisfied and highly recommend ALL-WAYS DRY MID MICHIGAN It's been approximately 10 months since installed internal drain system and sump works great. Does exactly what it supposed to. I've been able to complete the work to get my basement back to its finished state. UPDATE. We had to replace the HWH burner assembly because he was trying to relight the pilot and…read morecaught it on fire. Broke out the viewing window of the pilot light on my hot water heater and seriously dented my hot water heater. Also jacked up my access door. When I called him about the next day about it he said "you must have had somebody else out there or how else would you know?" Ultimately had another plumber (my father) diagnose that needed a new gas valve and, because Marty caught it on fire, a burner assembly. BTW Marty also told me it was impossible to get a new gas valve for my hot water heater. Ordered on Amazon and delivered in two days. The parts were $300. He wanted to replace and quoted me $1,200. Communication impossible. If you call him he may call you back or he may not. Depends if he needs work this week or if he likes you. Twice he has just shown up at my house without calling at all. Including the original service call. He also likes to share his negative opinions about "you people coming up here and expecting blah blah blah." Meaning those of us who contribute to the very seasonal economy in Lexington. I've spoken to two others who will never use him again because his work was shoddy and his opinions were too freely expressed. As he left me there with a broken hot water heater, he said he could maybe come back in August when he wasn't so busy and suggested I lay a black hose in the sun for hot water and walked away laughing. So, unless you grew up with him, and that's a smaller pool all the time, I recommend a before and after picture with him IN IT. BTW when I saw his truck in Town I saluted him with the traditional finger reserved for people who have screwed you over. Not mature but darn it he makes me so mad. He turned his truck around, chased me down a street to a friends driveway where he started shouting that I was "that crazy lady" (apparently you're crazy if you don't like paying people $200 cash to break your stuff and then call him out on it) and, after that very professional exchange of views (not) he shouted to me, "get a bigger bike LARD ASS." I hired Cournaya's Landscaping in Spring 2022. I purchased (roughly) 60 ton of Yellow (white)…read moreLimestone. When the first load was dumped I questioned the workers as the rock did not appear to be white as I had expected. I was told it was the correct rock and the discoloration was due to it being moist, so they set about spreading it. I received two (2) more truck loads. Upon inspection and comparison to my neighbors Yellow Limestone it was clear I had not received the correct rock. I talked to the supervisor and he now informed me, that yes I am correct this is not the correct rock and he had noticed it while spreading the first load. The driver confirmed it was was not Yellow Limestone prior to dumping his second load. The supervisor instructed him to dump the second load and proceed to get the 3rd (last load). I was told the mistake was because there normal supplier was out of rock so they used a different supplier. I was offered a very modest reduction was nothing more then the regular price of the cheaper rock they installed. I did not accept the discount and just wanted what I had paid for. I wanted and paid for Yellow Limestone so we agreed they would top the rock with the correct material. The Yellow Limestone that was used to top my drive was mostly if not entirely pulverized Yellow Limestone comprised of very small pieces (maybe 1/2") and basically dust and was was topped with less than 1" of the correct stone. Now much of the top layer, being so small has worked it way down so now my drive is a mixture of Gray and Yellow (White) rock. So in short even though they knew it was not the materiel I had paid for or wanted they took it upon themselves to apply it anyway. SO they were more focused on getting the job done, even if it wasn't what I had purchased. I expect the top layer was nothing more then the dust and small particles of what there normal supplier had run out of. I am being presumptuous here as I have no idea where they got the top layer or why is just small parts and dust. I did call but got a response something of the nature of "that is what they loaded". Cournaya's admitted they were responsible for the mistake but to do this day I am still disappointed in the fact I never got what I was paid for nor was an adjustment that might offset the error. I have contacted other companies to see what I can do to get my drive the way I had originally paid Cournaya's and my only option is to have my drive scrapped, the new rock removed and then replaced with what I had paid for.
