The PNW's only Theme Park…read more This is by far the best (and really the only) high-quality theme park in the Pacific Northwest; others truly pale in comparison. It's certainly not Disneyland by any stretch of the imagination, but it is unequivocally a fun place to visit. If you're familiar with Knott's Berry Farm, I would describe this park as a lighter, halfway version of that experience, notably without any dark rides. You can clearly tell they draw a lot of inspiration from Knott's theming and aesthetic. Despite its smaller scale, you can easily have a very fun two-to-three-day trip here, depending on your family's interests and pace. The food situation is a definite trade-off: I think the quality is generally not great (with the glorious exception of the ice cream!), but it is ridiculously affordable by theme park standards, which is a massive win that almost makes up for the basic quality. A minor logistical hurdle is that the closest hotel is about ten miles away, which can present its own set of challenges, but for the overall experience and value, it was definitely worth the effort. Overall, this park is a standout regional destination that delivers serious fun without the insane price tag!

Melia and Jared were amazing tour guides--so knowledgeable, upbeat, and welcoming. Jared had us laughing nonstop with his hilarious commentary, and both he and Melia made us feel completely at ease. I honestly thought I was going to be scared, but they helped me feel so comfortable and confident every step of the way. The zip lining itself was SO much fun! Being up in the trees was absolutely breathtaking--the views were incredible. I loved how the course was designed to start off small and gradually build up to the biggest and best zip line at the end. It made the whole experience feel exciting without being overwhelming. It was such a fun, unforgettable way to celebrate our anniversary. We're already recommending Timberline Adventures to all our friends--and we'll definitely be back! Huge thanks to Melia and Jared for making our day so special!

The bowling alley could use some maintenance because even a 300 bowler isn't that great here but whatever, there's other cool things here. We enjoyed the indoor putt putt golf. Update: Vanessa from Triple Play finally contacted my wife today…read more What is frustrating is that her own message confirms exactly why this situation has been such a mess. She stated that their Sales Manager had a couple digits mixed up in Allison's phone number when he tried calling earlier in the week. That means Triple Play publicly claimed they attempted to reach out and had not received a response, while the real issue was that their own staff had the wrong number -- a phone number they had access to all along through the event planning process. So again, this was not simply "confusion between pass types." This was poor communication, poor follow-through, and poor handling of a group event involving children and families. First the arcade credit issue was not handled correctly at the event. Then the follow-up was mishandled. Then it was publicly framed as if we were not responding, when in reality they had mixed up the phone number. I do appreciate that Vanessa finally spoke with Allison and that they are now working on refunding the remaining arcade credit. That is what should have happened from the beginning. But the fact remains: our group spent over $2,000, the girls were let down in the moment, we had to pay the $225 ourselves to make it right for the kids, and the follow-up only happened after multiple public responses and updates. I am glad they are finally taking steps to correct part of it, but this entire situation still shows why I would strongly warn anyone planning a group event here to get every single detail in writing, verify every promise before arriving, and make sure you know exactly who is responsible if something goes wrong.

I didn't catch her name, but she wore glasses and seemed to be on the spectrum. That actually makes her performance even more impressive--she handled the crowd with confidence, warmth, and professionalism, and truly stood out. I really hope the team can identify her because she deserves recognition for a job exceptionally well done. The ride itself is such a unique attraction, and very reasonably priced for the experience. The gondola cabins felt sturdy, clean, and well-maintained, which made the ride comfortable and stress-free. Of course, the waterfall views are stunning, but what really surprised me was the wildlife. I spotted a yellow-bellied marmot--something I had never seen before! Someone on the ride mentioned those are native to the area, and coming from San Jose, I was honestly delighted and a little mind-blown to see such a unique animal in the wild. All around, an amazing experience with top-tier service, beautiful scenery, and even a few unexpected highlights. Highly recommend if you're in Spokane!

There was incomplete construction, wasted space, and the whole venue smelled like a stinky sock for what seemed like a decade. Now there's a new ownership which has really turned the place around. They cleaned, remodeled, painted, added big screen TVs and arcade gizmos, enlarged the rink, and continues to make improvements. There are still a lot of imperfections and I have complaints, but I will come back here again and again because I always have a good time skating with friends. Recently I've been there on adult night, Thursday. Thank goodness for this 18+ day, because I've skated here many times when there are a bunch of careless kids on the rink that appear to me only as hazards that I have to dodge constantly. The 90's nostalgia that Roller Valley had in the 2010's is mostly gone. The place feels newer and the soundtrack is almost always what the younger generation is into. Song requests are accepted and the result is a smorgasbord of music that I can't relate to. I think this is the reason why I see several skaters wearing noise cancelling earbuds, so they can jam to their preferred music while they roll. Staff is a mixed bag but I expect nothing more as the service industry in today's job market is kind of bonkers. Some staff appear longing to be anywhere else as they impatiently operate the credit card machine, while others rolling around on quad skates sport a cheery smile and happily greet patrons. I liked the food I tried. Gone are the sticky licorice ropes available during my childhood, present are some tasty breaded fries which came recommended. Just another sign that Roller Valley is moving forward and exists in the here and now. My biggest complaints with Roller Valley in 2022 are related to cleanliness and restroom privacy. I repeatedly smelled a moldy odor near the rink's entrance. Another frustration is the lack of urinal partitions in the men's restroom, as well as the extremely short toilet partition which I think I could see over if I were brave enough to sit down. TL;DR: Give Roller Valley a chance. The atmosphere here is relaxed and fun. Things are imperfect, just like us. Don't let that stop you from having good times and making memories.
