The selection is poorer than Frattalone and the prices are higher. We won't support this store and their poor attitudes, we will plan to go to Home Depot or Lowe's for our hardware needs. We appreciate the location and the poor service, higher prices and lack of inventory will cause us to shop elsewhere.

I was killing time while my kids were working out at the nearby Planet Fitness. I love walking around hardware stores and Internet support them rather than big box home improvement stores. Even if I don't need anything, I will often pick up an extra 10mm socket or wrench (IYKYK). I noticed they sell the Snow Dominator (which is the best scoop snow shovel of all time, in my opinion). I thought I'd pick one up for my sister, whom we're visiting for the holidays. After the interaction with the store employee, however, I've decided that I won't shop here. I will buy my shovel at Settergren's on Penn Ave in Minneapolis instead.

I called to find out if they sell propane. I was told that they sell it by the gallon. Nope. They…read morecharge for what ever cylinder you have. My 40lbs cylinder takes 9-9.5 gallons empty. I think he pumped about 7 gallons when empty. I could not tell as there gallon meter was not turning showing how much was put into the tank. He handed me the tank and it was way light. He put it back on the scale and probably put in another gallon if that. They probably fills these tanks to about 80% capacity but charge you for a full tank. So figure your cost to be about $5 a gallon for propane. I will never by anything from this store as they are CLUELESS or just greedy. He did not even open the bleeder valve when filling the tank which insures a full tank. Another customer was waiting and hearing our conversation left with his empty tank. And he kept telling me that I had a 30lb tank. Like I said CLUELESS. Stay away from them.

We prefer their 8 ft balsam fir, which is most of what they have in stock. It runs typically $80 and hasn't changed with inflation. The tree lot is a tiny bit confusing because it looks like the trees are being sold by the market next store. But they are all from Ace. The cashier was quick and friendly. Don't go here if you want them to tie it to your car for you, fresh cut the bottom, or wrap your tree in one of those Christmas tree wrapping machines. If you don't care about that, you want a pretty tree that us a great valued tree this is the spot for you.

However, the Home Depot folks are usually more knowledgeable, as it's almost a requirement that they have construction experience. This particular location is getting old, and the store is moving this summer to a new location between 65th and 75th ST, NW.
