We order out here a LOT and dine in on occasion. Our routine order is a large sausage pizza and a gyros. They are always good and always consistent. The gyros meat is generous as well. I was expecting a lot more because it was fairly expensive; the 10 inch pizza was about $20 and the pita was about $13. Great food! I met a group of ladies here on a Thursday​ evening. We were seated quickly and greeted promptly by our server. The server​ was kind and patient as we perused the menu. So much to choose from. Once we placed our order she checked on us frequently and before we knew it our food was delivered. It was hot and delicious. Seemed very authentic. Many will say that the best pizza in Columbia is Shakespeare's, while it is good I actually prefer Arris Pizza over Shakespeare's. This would actually be my third time eating at an Arris Pizza, mostly I tend to make a stop when visiting the Lake of the Ozarks, however when in the mood for a pizza on a recent trip to Columbia I wanted a change of pace and decided to skip Shakespeare's and head to get my fill of a Hercules Pizza. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with two friends we ordered two pizzas and proceeded to share them. We ordered a Hercules, which is served with seasoned ground beef, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, Greek sausage and breakfast bacon and served sliced into squares. Now what makes this a great pizza is that Arris's makes sure to get a large piece of sausage on each slice. The crust is thin, yet not cracker thin like some places, overall the pizza is great and very tasty. I highly recommend passing on Shakespeare's at least once to make a stop and try some of the great pizza being served up at Arris Pizza! read more

I have tried continually throughout the years to eat at this traditional eatery. We stopped by Arris pizza because we wanted to try a new pizza spot! When we got there, there were only a couple patrons seated. But, it worked out for us because the waitress was stupendous and focused on us. We ordered a small pepperoni for the kids right away because they are kids and, well, they don't wait well. I usually ordered from the menu. After 2008, I have tried to eat Arris' a few times. The prices got a lot higher and the quality dropped. Also, the last time I ate the final straw that broke the camel's back happened while I was using the ladies' room. I have always enjoyed Arris' Pizza. The food is god and the service is usually good, until last night, January 16, 2022. Our group of seven went there for dinner on Sunday evening. I was the third one in the group to place my order. After a short while, the server brought out salads for those who were getting one, EXCEPT MINE! When the server finally came back around, I asked about my salad. He asked what kind. He brought it out. Then the food started arriving, EXCEPT MINE. When I asked about it, he said it would be a couple of minutes. A few minutes later, I asked again. He said my dinner was behind a Grub Hub order. How can the 3rd person of seven ordering be the only one placed behind the Grub Hub order? When the manager came by, I asked how my order got placed behind the Grub Hub order when everyone else in our group had their food. She went back to the kitchen and after a few minutes, came out with my food. At this point, everyone else was done eating so I had her box it up to take home. The manager offered to take $5.00 off my bill. A whole $5 after ruining the evening for all of us. Our topic of conversation around the table was about how badly I had been treated, not normal conversation. I imagine the server didn't get my order in. When he realized his error, he should have rushed mine to get it close to the others. This whole process was poorly handled by the server and especially the manager. Arris Pizza turned out to be a pretty great experience. The food, service, and place were very enjoyable. I tried everything from the cheese pizza to cheese sticks to a chicken panini. The pizza was decent. It was a little too soft and could have use a little bit of broiling on top for the cheese. However, the flavor of the pizza wasn't bad at all. The cheese sticks were average cheese sticks. I had a the Grecian panini which was just amazing. It had some sun dried tomatoes in it complimented by a creamy pesto sauce and filled to the maxed with slices of chicken. I also had sweet potato fries which were perfect. Our server was on point too. She took time out to have a conversation with us. She also came by frequently to give refills or ask if we needed anything. Arris itself was just nice for any occasion. A group of us stopped in last Saturday to have dinner. Our friends had never eaten here but we're regulars. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. We always get the George's Special and of course it was delicious... crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh and ample. Our friends had a personal sized pizza and the gyro meal and they loved it. It was nice to take our friends to a new place that we love and see them enjoying it too. Arris is a true icon in Jefferson City. The pizza is really friggin good when you want delicious greasy greek pizza! If you've never had a gyro salad, do yourself a favor and jump in. As good as that is, it's hard for me to order one knowing I'm missing out on the pizza when I do so. All of that said, the location in Columbia is simply not as good as the original, nor some of the other franchise locations I've visited. Service is spotty at times, and the restaurant itself simply doesn't feel as cozy or charming as the original. I'll still go for the lunch buffet, which is really a little expensive for what I eat, but is still good enough that I can bite the bullet and just enjoy it anyway. With some work on the service angle I would gladly add a star or two back in. Arris Pizza has never been priced like Little Caesars. If you want cheap, you have the wrong expectation. read more

I decided to have a lunch meeting here due to the fact I'm from Jefferson City and the buffer here is great. It was 1245 when I arrived, it's 130 now and there has been one fresh pizza put out. No pasta salad, cottage cheese, raviolis etc.. the extras were salad, apple cobbler, fried green beans, mixed frozen vegetables (nasty) and something else that was not good. Awesome pizza! They have very thin crust almost like a cracker. They are very earth friendly. There bathrooms are so energy efficient.

Atmosphere: This has to be by far the nicest place I have ever eaten a gyro. From the outside it looks like a typical strip mall eatery, but inside they have gone for a tasteful, contemporary decor. It was still casual enough to wear jeans, but I have to admit I would have felt a bit out of place in shorts and a t-shirt. Service: Service was fine, but nothing stood out as really beyond normal. Food: The Arris gyro meat will definitely bring me back for other visits. It was wonderfully tender and full of flavor. I had the gyro platter, which came fries and a side Greek salad. I had expected a tiny little salad, but what they served was good sized and very fresh. For $10.50 it ended up being a fair amount of food. My only food complaint was that they had a beer shortage that night, and I was unable to really get what I wanted from their normal tap offerings. ----- I had been to the Arris locaton on High Street in Jeff City a few times in the 90s and really do not remember it being this nice.
