I love arrigoni winery ! I try to go at least once a year , this year we got invited to a birthday party which was the perfect spot . We got nice weather ( esp for November ) ! They have plenty of seating out doors with live music Fridays thru Sunday ! During the fall season they offer cider tasting which is a great activity to do . But personally. I love going for the frozen wine slushies ! They are soo good especially the swirl where you can mix the blackberry and mango wine slushies ! Highly recommend ! Before we had to order at the bar .. however recently it looks like they added an option where you are able to order and pay online on your phone ! Which is very convenient and helpful ! I've enjoyed coming here for years, but sadly, the appeal has started to fade. What hasn't changed is the beautiful scenery. There's plenty of seating--both out in the field and on the higher deck overlooking the wide fields bordered by thick woods. They often have live music, which for me is the saving grace. I've tried the wine, but we usually go for the sangria. Unfortunately, the cost for even half a plastic carafe feels very expensive, and I'm just not a fan of using plastic glasses. In my opinion, the place has gone downhill over time, and that's disappointing to see. read more

Organized a get-together and rented a table online. The venue upgraded us to a cabana for the morning time slot. They have a lot of outdoor seating (large picnic tables) so it was easy to shift the larger party over. Venue allows outside food, which made it easy to accommodate dietary preferences of the group. read more

Service is quick and very friendly, and the music they have on weekends is well worth stopping in for. They've had very skilled musicians every time I've gone. I'd pay to listen to their musicians, it was very pleasant to spend a couple hours sitting in their presence just listening and vibing. I don't know much about wine but as far as atmosphere goes, this place is superb. Their outdoor seating is spacious and private, set well back from the road down a very small hill that leaves you feeling like you're at a private country club in a secluded yet welcoming corner of New England. Only complaint would be that the food, for the fairly steep price, is pretty run-of-the-mill. Dipping sauces tasted cheap, one even seemed like canned spray cheese. I wouldn't expect much as far as snack fare goes. But if you're there for the wine and the music, I would highly encourage a visit. read more

I was pleasantly wowed by this place. I am a winery fan, and I have been to several in CT. Arrigoni is a whole experience. It has a rustic barnyard feel with indoor and outdoor seating. There is plenty of outdoor seating, which is covered too for those who don't want to be in the sun. There are also these super cute private seating areas that can be viewed and booked online. There is frequently entertainment on the weekends as well. The wine is flavorful, and there were obviously wine slushies (as pictured, with floaters!!!). Food can be brought or purchased. There is also a store with the cutest wine accessories and little finds. I stopped here at the end of the day and didn't want to leave. Will definitely return, and I recommend you do too!! read more

Servings have gotten smaller. Prices have gotten larger. My last visit was like a horror movie with the bugs everywhere. Including two dead bugs in my mulled wine, which caused me to lose 1/3 of my already tiny styrofoam cup of wine. (Hello, not earth friendly business...please use glasses like you show on your Facebook posts, enough with the styrofoam. It's not 1985.) When I quietly showed the bugs to an employee she took my cup, said "sorry about that", and walked away. Well, there goes $3 of wasted wine. It's just really not all that enjoyable here anymore. If you have to go, avoid the upstairs. If you do end up going up there, DO NOT LOOK UP. You will never be the same if you do. You've been warned! They also need to change their smoke detector batteries. The chirping of a fire hazard waiting to happen kills the vibe a little bit. Especially when you can hear it over the band. read more

Such a great winery. I was helped by Erin. Her service was incredible! She recommended three wines which were River Bend, Oasis and Pearl. My favorite from the selection was River Bend. I also ordered food which was flatbread. I did enjoy the meal along with the wine. The place is small and cozy with a nice outside patio. I will definitely go back to try other things on the menu. This was quite a unique winery to visit! The wines were very enjoyable, I especially enjoyed the Rozy (Pinot Noir). The Sugar House which was a Maple & Apple wine was very interesting as was the Chocolate Love which was a Merlot & Cab Franc infused with chocolate! They also had a Mulled Red Wine that totally blew us all away!!!! It was so darn good! Massive gift shop, from candles, wooden signs, wine bottle holders, magnets, snacks, right down to Christmas & Halloween decor!!! This place had three levels of "stuff"! Plenty of seating and you are allowed to bring in your own food, however we just purchased a couple of their cheese and cracker plates, Yellow Corn Chips, Peach Salsa and Chocolate Covered Cookies! I have been meaning to come to Arrigoni for some time now and we finally made it happen! Pulling up the outside reminds me of a roadside antique store. Walking in the front door I still get that vibe, but you are walking into the largest wine themed gift shop that I have ever seen. From bottle holders to funny signs, they have it all. Need holiday decorations, this is your place! Two floors to satisfy your shopping pleasure. With seating scattered throughout, you are also very likely to get a seat to enjoy your wine. Tastings are chosen from one out of the two tasting menus. They offer a wide variety of wines, of which I highly recommend the Pinot Noir blush (Rozy). They encourage you to bring your own food, but they do offer a small food selection in their shop as well. I personally hate winter; however, it was made slightly better by trying a glass of Arrigoni's mulled red wine (white is also available). This by far is the best winery in CT. We went here on a Friday around 5:30 and stayed until close which was 9pm. When we got there, the ladies were so pleasant and immediately made us feel welcome. Even with the restrictions, they weren't tepid in their approach. We opted for the classic and premium wine tasting so versus 5, we tasted 10 wines. Our favorite wines from the tasting were Orchard Valley, Rozy and the Malbec. We ended up getting 6 bottles to go as they were reasonably priced. After the tasting, we went down to the bottom as there was live music playing. We got the wine slushees (both flavors were so good) and several glasses of wine as we enjoyed the music. Afterwards, we went over to play Jenga and Connect 4, then took a walk around the vineyard. Overall, it was such a good experience ranging from the top notch service, the wide variety of wine selections and the music. Can't wait to return!! read more

Service is non-existent. Brought tickets to a yoga event at the winery. Was understandably cancelled for weather but the venue or instructor did not use the advertised rain date as a reschedule but cancelled and allowed transferable tickets to a Drag show or to attend the August yoga event or request a refund. Unfortunately the rescheduled date or the drag event the following weekend worked for me or my friends. I requested a refund and have followed up on 3 separate occasions including calling. I have yet to get a response nor a refund. Buyer beware. read more

We were really excited to visit Arrigoni Winery and try their hard ciders. We were really disappointed by the "flight" of their 6 cider flavors because of the extremely skimpy serving. Each little cup was filled 1/4 of the way, and ended up only being a tiny sip of each (what you would likely get for free if you asked to sample the flavor before ordering a cup). The amount of liquid provided in all 6 cups of the flight combined was far less than the full cups of cider that they were selling for $8. For $16 for a flight, it was not nearly worth the money. read more

I truly enjoyed my evening at Arrigoni Winery. It was an event held by the Kappa Fraternity. We sat outside over looking the vineyard's we decided to try their wine slush it was banging the two flavored wines were mango & blackberry sangria both wines 12 % alcohol cost $12.00 worth every penny. I sure everyone had more then one. They also had a buffet set up by the Kappas with desserts. We all decided to do our wine tasting which was really nice and a lot of fun. I decided to walk through the store that had several trinkets and glasses with hats and shirts. I would definately return to Arrigoni Winery with my girl friends and make a day of it. We came here coz our friends had a Groupon deal wine tasting + cheese plate. On the perfect spring day, it was gratifying to be outside. The gift shop/ tasting room barn is also a perfect venue for "things-to-do in winters". Theres live entertainment on the patio on Fridays/Sundays I believe ... but unfortunately we were there on a Saturday, you won't miss it though if you in good company. With summer around the corner, just be sure to carry a hat, sunscreen and pack a picnic lunch and you'll be all set to have a good time! Now for the wine tasting: I suggest going for the premium wines for few $$ more coz the regular wines are really poor & weak, if you are a large group you can build your own tasting session by picking out a few bottles that way you get more to drink than what they would pour. Also, don't buy the cheese plate instead opt for the stonewall crackers and jam.. it's a better option. The wine slushie.. I have seen the same flavors at another winery.. they are tempting to try esp. when you see that every table has a glass but trust me its no good. So glad I made a visit to Arrigoni! We really enjoyed their premium wine tastings and thought their food was fantastic. The cheese and cracker platter really hit the spot too and is exactly what you're looking for at a winery. I do wish it hadn't been served on a plastic plate because I walked it down some stairs onto the lawn and the crackers almost slid off a few times, but that's an easy fix! I've read some of my friends reviews but ended up being pleasantly surprised by my visit. I met two friends here a few weeks back and enjoyed my experience. There are a few places to park and TONS of outdoor seating, which is great for summer. We chose to sit in a pavilion area to stay in the shade. Inside, the wine counter is combined with a store - for me, a lot of kitschy kinds of things (and if you ever wanted a decor block with words on it, this is your store) that were not really my taste, but an okay vibe inside. The staff were very friendly and the menu is quite large for a winery - reds, whites, sparkling, fruity, ciders, etc. A lot to choose from. I did think a bottle of sparkling wine for over $30 was a bit much, so I opted for glasses instead ($11 each). I enjoyed the prosecco and I also liked one of the fruit wines my friend purchased as well. Once outside, a waitress (?) would come by every once in a while and offer to get more for us which was very helpful, rather than having to go inside each time. I would say if I had to come here in the winter and sit indoors, the vibe might be shot a little bit - I had no desire to sit inside the building (because you're kind of sitting in the store if you're indoors) and one area specifically had really unbecoming diner-type booths which I don't equate with a nice winery. The other side had a few high top tables which were a bit nicer. We brought our own food though they do have a few food options here. As others pointed out, they have a kind of sad cheese platter that comes with 2 Hershey's kisses and I don't know why they think this is cute or a selling point. It's really low end if you're at a winery and looking to pair your wine with some cheese and chocolate. Kind of night and day from some other local wineries. But overall, I honestly had no qualms about my visit here and really enjoyed spending my afternoon outside with friends. They had two musicians playing outside but SUPER quiet so as not to have me shout while talking (I can't stand loud music while you're just trying to relax and chat). We found this a very quaint little winery. The staff was very helpful to explain the wines that they had available. As well as the Cider tastings too. We enjoyed our time here as well as the wine we left with two bottles of Rosy Rose. Anointed true Gem! It was different than I have experienced before in other states and fortunately I do want to revisit. It surely looks smaller from the front. Parking is in the back on the grass but it opens up to a beautiful green scene. Make sure you have your walking shoes on because it can be a walk depending on where you park. I bought a Groupon for the premium tasting and would buy that again. FYI- you will pay taxes on the Groupon at the winery. That was very different for me coming from wineries in FL and GA.They have plenty of seating outside that over looks part of the vines I assume. They have seating inside but you may want to get their sooner to be seated. I would choose the outside if it is not too cold. They also have a stage for bands to play. The staff is very nice and helpful. You place your order and add the food and go sit. They will give you a table number and happily bring everything to you. For the premium tasting you get a cheese plate too! Their Flatbreads are good and you want to be careful not to miss popular items on the short list. What love about this place is that you can bring your own food!!! Next time I go, I will have wine snacks and a pizza. The also have beer you can taste too. You can ask for a sample before buying which is nice. I also so kids outside too so no worries about needing to find sitter. Maybe a designated driver . I followed up with a wine slushie which was really good. I enjoyed sitting outside in the back. I didn't try any food but they had some little things to snack on. I liked the live music as well.
