I would rate this winery 10 stars if I could!!! I have been to many CT wineries (we tried our hand at the wine trail passport a few years back) and Arrowhead is by far my favorite one. THE WINE: I've had a variety of their flavors from getting the sampler flights and I have liked all but 1 of the wines I opted to try. They also serve wine slushies which I plan to get next time. I think their prices are very fair which is another bonus to me! (Yea, I'm talking to you, other wineries that charge $15 for like a 2oz wine slushy *insert eye roll*) THE EATS: One of the main reasons this winery is at the top of my list is because of all the added bonuses that come with its location. It has a barn store (cafe? eatery? Idk) inside where everything is homemade. If you don't have time to bring your own snacks or meal you can get it here! They have the most delicious homemade pastries just begging to be ordered as they stare at you through the display case. And the bread ends...don't get me started on the bread ends! Since they use their own bread for sandwiches they take the leftover bread and put them into bags that they sell. I'm telling you, you have no idea what your cheese and crackers are missing until you buy a bag of bread ends! They have random flavors of bread so you don't know what's going to be in your surprise bag. They offer a variety of specials and sandwiches, wraps, etc. too. My friend and I split of chicken Caesar wrap and it was sooo good---I would bet the croutons in it were also homemade from their amazing bread. (Can you tell I like bread yet?) THE LOCATION: I have been here during the winter and summer months and always have a great time! The indoor seating is pretty spacious, with cool wine barrel tables and a beautiful fire place. They also have some games to play and crafts to peruse for purchase. The outdoor space is beautiful. It includes a small porch area with limited seating (a few seater tables and rocking chairs) as well as a wide open grassy area that has quite a few tables and chairs. On busy summer days you may want to bring your own folding chair just to ensure you have a spot to sit. My most recent visit (a summer Fri night) had a live, 2 man band and they were great! It was the perfect ambiance. I can't stand when there's a live band and you can't hold a conversation over the speaker volume, but this was just perfect where our group could enjoy the music AND each other's conversation. Kudos Arrowhead! (And great job Borderline Genius--I'd go see them again if they were playing somewhere) There's also a barn cat who goes inside and roams the fields. He is very friendly but if you're allergic and plan to stay indoors maybe take your meds before going (I am allergic and when I was inside I wasn't bothered until I went up and pet him). Overall--highly recommend Arrowhead Acres for an awesome experience! Brought my friend here last time and she agreed it is her new favorite CT winery too!

She's a Keeper and Franklin Station, plus Franklin the Winery Cat.

The wines are spectacular at a reasonable price, which is reason enough to go; but the real star attraction is Franklin the winery cat. He's a real love bug who will likely visit your table. Highly recommended.

Great wines. Enjoyed the atmosphere, looking forward to the sunny days, to come back again.

I didn't find the wines all that good. Which could have been okay as the ambiance was pretty cool. But when the bathroom in the place looked like you were walking into a truck stop bathroom on the highway (y'all know what I mean, I'm sure) that's not acceptable.

Wine wasn't anything special and flies throughout both indoor and outside seating. Can only recommend the sandwiches which were tasty.

Lebanon Green Vineyards was our second stop of the day and my favorite. They have a great grassy area with several tables, all of which had umbrellas which is nice, as I'd always like the option of having shade, especially on the hot days we've had this summer. They also had live music just starting as we arrived. We ordered a bottle of Wayland Rose, some Cato Corner cheese, and some wine crackers. They brought everything to our table for us. A nice chilled bottle of wine, in a chiller bucket, the cheese came with a cutting board, a sharp knife, and some napkins. Most wineries just hand you the cheese and a plastic knife if you're lucky. The hospitality at Lebanon Green Vineyards was amazing, I appreciate all the little touches that make it such a nice overall experience. When we didn't finish our bottle, they brought a stopper over for us, and brought our bill right to our table. We didn't have a lot of time to spend there the day we went, but I am looking forward to going there again as a destination and spending the afternoon there. It seems like they have music pretty regularly on the weekends. You can bring your own food with you as well.

The tasting room is rather small on the back-right of the property, and lots of tables with umbrellas outside to sit and enjoy the music and/or talk with your friends. I tried the shot and scoop (a cup of ice cream with their blueberry dessert wine), which had a choice of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. A word of caution - stir your ice cream before they pour, otherwise it will overflow the cup. It was delicious though, even on a cold day. The only downside was the baristas are all over you. We were asked at least five times if we were there for a tasting or a glass before we had a chance to really absorb the menu. We chose to sit as far from the tasting room as possible so we could chat and enjoy our glass (and please keep in mind, there were may three other tables with people so it's not like space was at a premium) and they came over 2-3 times to see if there was anything else we wanted to order. The tight polite smile and declining their assistance was not sufficient to deter their intrusions. They were nice, please don't miss understand, just persistent with a force you normally see of people working on commission, and hey, maybe they were. I would definitely come back because the wine was good and it's a pretty location, but I'd be prepared with a more authoritative "No, I will come to you when I want to order more".

It is also a perfect winery for larger groups as they have an indoor and outdoor tasting area. This place is just beautiful. We sat on the porch looking out over the vineyard like we were in the Alexander Valley. Honestly, we have done the North Fork trail more but will now be a SOFO family as well. Helene and I both enjoy a good Chardonnay and "Wolffer's Pearl" is great, A chard with tremendous body and depth. We had the honor of being on a European Wine Cruise with the wine maker. Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. This was a small price to pay for the wonderful experience we had. KUDOs to the team at Wolffer Estate Vineyard

They have tables to sit and drink wine or have lunch, and a flock of very cute fluffy chickens that scatter around. Some families were there and they had ordered a pizza to be delivered there and were drinking a few bottles of wine. We opted to try the 7 wines for $12.00 tasting. The woman doing the tasting was very detailed about the wines and we really enjoyed listening and asking questions. We enjoyed all the white wines with the Cayuga White being our favorite, so we got a bottle of that to take home. I also enjoyed the reds and the rose. The owner was very friendly and loved chatting when we asked about the huge unusual tree - it is his pride and joy - a chestnut tree! We would definitely come back. I do wish they gave more than a very small pour. In some of the wines, we couldn't really get the flavors as there was just not enough wine in the glass to taste fully.
