Excellent French style cuisine with wonderful staff ensuring our valentines experience was unforgettable. This French bistro is styled like an eatery just outside of Paris in the middle of a vineyard with rustic charm and small town warmth. We come here every season and the cuisine changes every season and the restaurant is perfect spot for dates, birthdays, reunions, and events!

What a beautiful place! This place was absolutely fantastic. They have ample parking, a back deck with views of the vineyards and of course food and wine. I came here with some family and we had a great afternoon here. I highly recommend. I did a wine flight since I can never really make up my mind. Service was good.

We enjoyed an exceptional dinner and terrific service on a beautiful, rustic setting. We particularly enjoyed the Ahi tuna and Bibb salad appetizers, swordfish entree and chicken pesto sandwich. A bottle of Chardonnay complemented dinner. Flourless chocolate cake, creme brûlée and pot de crème were healthy portion size and so tasty. Our waiter, Garrett, was attentive and knowledgeable including about gluten-free options, of which there are many on the menu. Overall, a most pleasant experience at the vineyards.

We brought our dog and we were happy to sit by the pond at the picnic tables. There was little shade but it was late in the day. We ordered inside and someone brought the food out in to-go containers. We had to leave a credit card at the bar to have the wine in glasses rather than plastic. The stone white wine was very good. There were only three types of beer and no N/A beer. The chicken pesto sandwiches were a good value and tasty. The grilled cheese was a B+ and saved by being crispy. Fries were good and mostly crispy but the jumbo asparagus was a tough and oily mistake. All in all it was a delightful meal thanks to the beautiful evening in a very special setting with nice jazz over a loudspeaker.

Came here to celebrate my SIL's big birthday. What a lovely place this was. Really enjoyed the ambiance and most importantly - their food. Whenever I see duck on the menu with a fruity sauce, it is a must-have. And when I asked our server what his top 3 favorites were - his # 1 was duck, then steak and burger. Given his input, I stuck with my first choice and so glad I did. The Duck was exceptional. The skin was perfectly crispy yet the inside was so moist. My plate was so clean, I didn't want to leave anything and was actually wanting more haha. The burger was very good too. But the salmon which my hubs ordered was just ok. Highly recommend and definitely coming back here next time we visit family.

2 tastings - Wednesday happy hour BOGO

Went for a tasting during their "Wednesday happy hour" 4-6pm buy 1 tasting $18 get 1 free. The winery was nice. They had a fireplace which gave it a nice touch. I was surprised at the size of the vineyard and the amount of vines they had. It must be nice outside in the warmer weather. For the tasting you get to Pick 3 - 2oz pours (a bit stingy for $18) . I guess I'm used to wine tasting at the NY vineyards in the Hudson Valley and the Fingerlakes where the tastings are an average of $10 - pick 5. BUT I guess as a BOGO it will do . We also ordered a glass of wine each as we did enjoy their wines. Pay attention to your bill . If "Wednesday happy hour BOGO" is your gimmick you should automatically know not to charge for 2 tastings. I brought it to their attention , they fixed it. It felt like they try to get over on you if you're someone that doesn't pay attention to the bill. Just sayin.....

Decided to try a new vineyard and we are happy we did! Beautiful setting, delicious food and good service. We wish they had a tasting room so you could enjoy a tasting prior to your meal. They do allow you to purchase a tasting of 3 wines at your table but we would have liked to enjoy a tasting overlooking the beautiful vineyard. We enjoyed our visit and would go back!

This place is a hidden gem for wines and excellent foods. Don't think this is only a vineyard with a few appetizers. The entrees are on a par with many of our best restaurant choices. Highest praise.

Nothing but great service, food, and setting here! The staff is attentive and the food is pretty good. That Rose was mildly sweet and refreshing, served perfectly chilled! I had to buy another bottle. The appetizers were definitely worth it. And ohhhh that Brie cheese baked in the puff pastry. More on please!! The steak and frites was OK. Loved the frites. The steak is a thin cut with not much flavor. The clump of sauce on the lettuce is best served in bullet. Overall, it was a pleasant entree. Along with the burger, both were cooked perfectly!

Seemingly the only vineyard in the area, we were prepared for this place to be jam packed on a Friday afternoon. We were happily surprised when we were helped immediately and had no problem getting a picnic table in the shade outside. We ordered two bottles, the Stone Cold Red (a chilled red) and the Classe Heritage Primitivo (an earthy spicy red). Our group made short work of the bottles and the pommes frites we ordered. A member of the staff was nice enough to deliver our little app outside to us. It was hot and came with a house made garlic aioli that was to die for! The grounds are beautiful with a nice pond as an added bonus. The inside was also very nice. All of the food items sounded delicious so this will be a definite stop next time we're visiting.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years and I was quite surprised to see I had not actually done a review. Normally, we would just stop in and were lucky enough to always find a high top table and dine in the front area. This time we decided to make reservations, good thing we did, they were at capacity. For starters we had the charcuterie board which contained several different types of Italian cured meats, olive spread, pâté and a piece of baguette bread. The charcuterie was a nice start, we liked it. For our entrees I had the ribeye steak while my girlfriend had the duck. Our meals were delicious! We definitely enjoyed it like every other meal we have had in the past.

What a wonderful stop as we traveled along Hwy 95 in Connecticut! A beautiful piece of property with a lot of different seating areas, a beautiful pond out back and amazing food. The service was really quick and very friendly. We shared a grilled cheese sandwich and fries and both were excellent. We each had a wine flight and tried different wines and enjoyed them all. I am a Chardonnay drinker and really liked theirs. Easy access off Hwy 95 and worth a stop.

Coming this weekend, is just whole bottles available for purchase or individual glasses? any reds like malbec or Pinot Noir?

Is the vineyard open this weekend and what are the protocols?

They are open this weekend. Their Facebook page and website are being updated with hours/menu. It is outdoor dining. You order and pick up from a take out window. There isn’t much shade at the picnic tables, so on a hot day, I recommend bringing… Read more

The wine flight did not disappoint -- we tried the red, white & a combination, all solid pours. The cheese box is necessary if you're trying the flight ( or you can bring your own food). Highly recommend booking an igloo and making a night of it!

Aquila's gives a 30-minute grace period, which helped since the area gets very dark at night and the roads are narrow. I knew ahead of time there would be a lobster food truck and a live salsa band. When you arrive, you check in with the hostess, though there's no clear hostess stand since she's stationed at the end of the bar. The inside was crowded with no available seats, but we weren't there for the band anyway. Our igloo had a heater, but two would've been ideal. They recommend bringing a blanket, which I forgot, but it wasn't too cold--around the high 40s. We tried the "Sweet Wine Flight," which included Sparkling Rosé, Moscato, and white and red wine slushies. The white wine slushy was my favorite. It started raining while we were there, and everyone with fire pits cleared out, so I was extra glad we chose an igloo. They offered a cheese box, but it looked too small, so we stuck to drinks. Our server was polite and brought everything out quickly. Reservations give you two hours, and we had a great time. I like the variety of reservation options they offer. For suggestions: it would be nice to have a real charcuterie board instead of tiny cheese and veggie boxes. The indoor space could also be larger, especially for people coming for the live band, and there are no seats around the bar. Overall, though, it's a cozy spot, and I enjoyed the experience.
