The Sunrise Shack is hands down our favorite breakfast spot in the North Country. We've been to a…read morefew other good places in the Valley area, but this is the one we always find ourselves coming back to. The place is very small and because of that you have to check in at a small window before going inside. It can get very busy and always go mid week for that reason. What the Sunrise Shack lacks in size it more than makes up for with its personality and, of course, its yummy food. It's small yet cozy and homey. The staff is always welcoming and cheerful. And perhaps most importantly, the breakfast always hits the spot. During our most recent visit my boyfriend got blueberry pancakes and I got biscuits and gravy, which I had once before and had a hankering for it again. It was just as hearty and delicious as I remembered it from the last time. The blueberry pancakes were very yummy too. As a side note, if you ask for hot sauce with your meal they have a variety bucket for the table, which is a nice little bonus for hot sauce fiends such as myself. Whether you want your breakfast to be healthy or hearty, or whether you're filling up before going on a rigorous hike or going shopping in the North Conway town center, you simply can't go wrong with The Sunrise Shack.

I've wanted to try out their breakfast for a long time and now I finally did. Going for brunch on a Friday was a great idea even for a summer weekend. We got there a little after 11am and we were famished. My husband ordered their vegetable omelette with a side of bacon. I chose the Jim's Heartburner omelette which had chorizo, tomatoes, red onions and banana peppers in it. Both were delicious but I wish the omelettes were fluffier instead of being overdone. Home fries were decent. Service is friendly and excellent. Prices were just right. There's plenty of parking which is appreciated. Coffee was better than most breakfast places which is certainly something I notice.

A new/temp cook? A new manager. Not sure. .... But The mashed potatoes were ice cold when the meal arrived. not frozen, but COLD. When he finally found the waitress, she went to make it right. So, the meal comes back and the mashed potatoes were really hot! And now the bourbon tips were overly cooked. It seemed that they just popped the plate in the microwave. No worries. The waitress(Sarah), was good. She said she made the manager aware of the quality of the meal. In the meantime, no visit from the manager to apologize. We saw him walking around, with no contact to us. At the end, we figured there would be some comp. Nothing! Our guest was a tad gruff with the waitress regarding no comp and she handled it well and got the manager. I won't go further except to say that there was an argument and the manager just comped the whole bill in frustration. Unfortunately, the manager did not handle it well. He seemed a tad immature and he escalated the situation instead of diffusing it. So all in all our experience at one of our favorite restaurants was sad. Not a ton of options in Naples.

A friend had parked and a salon worker came out to inform her it was reserved parking. We arrived mid morning on a Sunday before "tourist season" and we were seated pretty quickly. As Jeff D mentioned - It's cozy in here. It's smaller dining area with a combination of low tops and high top tables. It only felt crowded once a large party of above average sized guys came in...I think they were 8 - They were football player sized guys, With that said, we were able to squeeze by them when we left. I had to get a table pancake (shared) based on the yelp photos and descriptions people had shared. It was fluffy and delicious. Was well cooked, not overcooked or undercooked. The breakfast plates are great. Yummy potatoes, next time, I am going to try the regular homefries. The bread....YUM...it's housemade!!! Great portions, great price and great service! When I'm in the area, during non-tourist season, I look forward to visiting again!
