My seldom used Hobart Cable baby grand piano needed some attention. I consider myself very lucky when I found Isaac of Arollo Piano Company. He responded quickly to my inquiry and his website made it easy to schedule an appointment. On the day of his visit and after taking the time to thoroughly examine my piano, he set to work with the tuning. He discovered some issues that had been troubling me when I played. Once the piano was tuned properly it sounded great. However, the area that was causing some problems was in need of additional work. Isaac thoroughly explained and demonstrated where and why the sticking (my word, not his) keys were occurring. He clearly answered all my questions in a manner that I could understand. I received an email appointment reminder and full instructions on what to expect. Isaac arrived at my home right on time, provided friendly and courteous service and spent two hours caring for a long-neglected 1930's baby grand piano. Issac did a superb job tuning the piano and explained some of the issues with the instrument such as some cracks in the soundboard that could not be addressed with tuning. The piano sounds as nice as it possibly could and I am back to practicing and enjoying a return to piano after decades away from it. Orpheus came and tuned my piano and now it sounds much better than before. It is an ordinary spinet piano, nothing special. I told him I thought it sounded too loud, and he worked on it and made it so that it can play softly if I want to. I am very impressed. He did a super job. I was also impressed with the business-like approach Orpheus uses. He sent me a confirmation email after I made the tuning appointment, and a reminder email a day before the appointment. Plus, his charge was quite reasonable. Yes, it takes close to two hours to tune a piano properly, but I was prepared for that and made sure to have no other sounds going on in the house. Before he left he set up an appointment for a tuning a year from now. Good. Now my piano will always sound as good as I can play it, and I am only an average player. read more

I inherited an upright piano from the 1920's, it was in great condition overall but was SEVERELY out of tune and clearly not something I could re-tune on my own. After five years of full-time RVing we settled down in Green Valley, Arizona. I promised my wife she would get her Kawai K-500 in the new house. I was very happy with Isaac and Arolla Piano. I have an old Baldwin Acrosonic, but it was the piano my kids played on, the piano I used to play to them on: now that they're all grown up, I moved it over to my house here in Tucson from California and it required about a 1/4 step tune across the board. Isaac explained what was needed, showed me some of the reasons the instrument had built-in dysfunctionality (e.g. the strings were of different length for the same note), and other information that made the service much more than just a tuning of an old piano. I have Isaac come to tune and whatever else needs to be done every 3 months. When he finished, after about 2 hours, the piano sounds just great as usual. I had a specific request to try to make one of the top notes sound in perfect tune and maintain it--- this had been a problem with this piano ever since I've had it. So he came up with a unique solution--- to revoice just one of the 3 strings for that note. Now, for the 1st time, this note is on perfect pitch because of his unique approach.
