Long Appreciation Post…read more A couple weeks ago, I was rear ended on 91 by a hit and run driver who did not brake for the stopped traffic. I am extremely grateful for my Ford Explorer for keeping me safe and being able to walk away without injury. In need of a whole new back end of my Explorer, I chose Johnson's Auto Body in Tolland to repair my car because of a positive referral. I cannot express HOW INCREDIBLE they were!!! Renee, who works the office, was AN ABSOLUTE ANGEL and walked me through the entire process. She was genuinely empathtic and consistently reassured me that "I, and my Explorer, are in very good hands" and that "I was going to get it back and it'll look like nothing ever happened." Ford refuses to do a recall on these defective EcoBoost engines. The team at Pages was very informative and showed a great deal of technical knowledge. Replaced engine quickly with no problems. My 2017 Ford Edge with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine experience a cracked engine block, leading to coolant leaks, overheating, and engine misfires. This issue is tied to a known defect in the engine's design, where the block's sealing surface warps due to high heat from the turbocharger, allowing coolant to leak into the cylinder. The Ford dealers are not going to tell you this, and I put my faith in Pages as they diagnosed and replace the engine quickly and perfectly. Back on the road! If you have a Ford EcoBoost engine that is failing, call Pages Automotive.
