We are currently having multiple issues on service, quality and communication. City Inspections failed again. project has taken over 6 months and still have nine windows that cannot be secured. Installation manager failed to show up for a meeting he set. 48 hours later. Two contact attempts to two employees and nothing. If you want to get an idea of what service you will receive just call and ask for Mike. The supervisor doesn't even have voice mail set up and I believe it's intended to avoid communication. Warranty replacement sliding door. Armortech honored their warranty from the previous owner and replaced our sliding door!! $86K project, 88 problems, 0 accountability. * Declared "finished" when 27 windows still had 88 issues: scratched glass, windows that wouldn't open, missing trim, paint stains, dirty residue. * Delays dragged on for 8 extra months. We had to act as project managers just to get the work corrected. * Unprofessional behavior in our home. Employees complained about us, mocked our requests, and admitted themselves they "couldn't believe" the state of the work. * Payment bait-and-switch. We chose this company because they promised full credit card payment with no fee. They changed policy mid-project and refused to honor the agreement. When we escalated to management and even the owner, we were brushed off and told no refund or adjustment would be given. We recently had Armortech Windows install 3 double windows in our condo. The windows were fabricated quicker than we had hoped, and the installation process also went quickly. We had three great installers: Brian, Matt, and Travis. All were very polite, meticulous, and neat! This was one of the best service experiences we have had in a while! The windows also look great, and they were more affordable than other competitors. Armortech also offers financing through a third party, so this also made this huge purchase more affordable! Definitely consider this company if you are wanting new windows. read more

I have been reaching out to Armortech since June 6, 2023. Today is November 9, 2023 and I've received no response. Armortech installed Simonton windows in my home in 2009, covered by a transferable 20 year-lifetime warranty (windows, therefore, still within warranty). 1 window has proven defective, with moisture and staining now present either from the Simonton window itself or poor install on Armortech's part. Regardless, Simonton warranty claim must be made through the installer, Armortech, who will not return my messages. They do not seem to stand by their work product or seek to maintain lifetime customers. I have given Armortech every opportunity to respond prior to this. read more

Overall, it was a typical contractor experience undeserving of praise or derision. In my world, everyone starts with a "3" (even me) when they deliver what is promised for the price--from Burger King to a surgeon. The crew was on time and efficient. The doors look great (both the installation and the product). See Pic. But this organization neither went beyond or below my expectations. Don't make a mistaken or take this too negatively. The doors look great. The crews were courteous in their demeanor. It it's important to align expectations. - these are impact/water resistant doors (they aren't called "proof" or "hurricane" doors", even though that is their purpose in my home). - during the sales process we were advised against painting the doors for cost reasons, plus the primer protects, was already white and coating paint is replacing flat with semi-gloss-whatever, right. The contract did not include painting the doors. - in discussing the door paint, I specifically asked about door frames and thresholds during the sales process and install. Was assured during sales "we will have to replace some of the framing but will restore it to its appearance". I then asked, "including trim paint?" Was told the trim and frames would be completed. The installers discussed how their painter would "cut in" the paint around the doors especially if I had the paint already. I have the paint. - via text I asked on two different occasions about the trim and wall cutting paint. Both times was told no painting until after inspection. - inspector approved - balance paid - I was contacted by text asking for a review. I responded no review would be completed until the job is done. - no contact about painting for one week. - I called the office, they were responsive and returned my call. They Stated "there is no painting in the contract, we only paint when it's included." Seemingly reasonable enough except I asked and was told "the contract paint is for painting the doors, we will do the trim and cut in on the walls." I explained my claims and the supervisor stated that was a training issue and they weren't coming back to paint. - I can paint. Not worried. But I paid $20k for four pairs of high end, French closing doors. I was told what I would receive and now they have a training issue. Anyone who says it's not about the money is usually lying. It's about the money. They have to pay a painter. It's probably also training. Other items. - I finished cleaning up their mess today. After using a shop vac for 20 minutes. I then used needle nosed (narrow point) pliers to remove the debris from deck board cracks. Took 10 minutes. See the Pic. - found caulk that had been wiped off from fingers all along the edges of my brand new patio table and along the brand new chair arms. Also found on older cushioned outdoor furniture with caulk pressed into the surface of two seat cushions and smeared along the arm of one HC hair (wicker, good luck getting that out). - found my outdoor outlet pulled from the wall about 4 inches and hanging loosely by the stiff copper wires when I moved my table to clean it. To be fair it was already poorly mounted and was on my eventual to-do list. It's on my right now list at this point. It's GFI and the breaker was tripped (presuming tripped by them as we haven't used it), meaning they knew something as "up" with the outlet. The minor irritations added up because the sales, office and install personnel continuously stated "we treat your house like it is our own." If I ever visit their home I would wear steel toed shoes with thick soles to protect my feet from stray debris, nails and other refuse. I know it would be okay, but I would not just leave my water bottle caps where they fall while wiping my chicken wing fingers on their furniture and walls. I wouldn't "treat their house the way I've learned they expect it to be treated." I would treat it like my own, with a bit more respect because I would be a guest. read more

I did some searching for replacement windows. I finally selected Armortech. I'm sure my job was a small for them, but I was treated by the sales and install staff like a major account. I appreciated the attention to detail in getting everything completed. The windows are actually exceeding my expectations. I was hoping for reduction in outdoor traffic noise, and that's where my expectations have been exceeded. No traffic noise!!! No neighbor dog noise!!! To say nothing about the safety added to my home. I'm close to a major crossroads and knew there would be some sound reduction, but, wow. I'm sure I will notice some difference in my electric bill when getting closer to summer, too. I had been advised of the time frame from order to install. I was called when the windows arrived, appointment set, and all was completed in one day and well inside the orgional projected time. The cleanup, both inside and out were completed perfectly and I'm very pleased. I highly recommend Armortech. read more

Extremely dissapointed. Sales exec (Jeff) came to our home, took measurements and showed us some pictures online to choose from. This was at the beginning of the COVID outbreak so we appreciated being able to choose a product from home. Jeff was helpful, polite and we were able to select a product and purchase our doors that day. We signed a contract and put 1/2 down. About 12 weeks later, the windows arrived and were ready for install. Install was scheulded in a timely manner and two lovely men by the names of Adam and Ryan came out two days in a row to get our new sliding glass doors installed. We purchased five panels in total, suffice it to say, it was an expensive venture and we were excited. Unfortunately, once installed, the locks/handles on the doors literally would not work. We could not get in or out of our home. My strong husband, the two installation experts and myself struggled for more than ten minutes with each handle. The installation folks told us that they were "genuinely surprised we had ordered these handles as they typically don't work and are not popular....". We were, of course shocked. Why on earth would anyone sell us something that didn't work? I called the store to speak to the sales manager and explained what was going on. I calmly explained that I would not be paying the balance of the invoice until I could actually operate my doors. He asked me "who was your sales rep?", "did you come into the store"?.....Of course I didn't come into the store we were in a quarantine and as I'm not an idiot I wouldn't have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on doors that don't work. Four days later the manager and one of the sales folks come out to the house to "fix" the handles. They basically removed them and soddered them down so that they would open and close properly. There was no apology. There was no offer to compensate for our trouble. I asked if we could please have different handles and was told if we wanted different handles we would need to buy completely new (three thousand dollar doors). I was told by the installation techs that if we review they get a bonus. I want to reiterate they did nothing wrong so Ryan and Adam deserve that bonus! As for Jesse, Dave and the sales exec that I never saw again.....they need to learn how to run a business. Do not make the mistake that we did and avoid this company. Doors and windows in FL are expensive and these types of investements should be treated as carefully as the customers. read more

This review is slightly premature as we still have a very large sliding door, and 4 French doors to have installed. Slider is a different supplier (PGT) than the windows (Simonton), and not in yet. But I wanted to get this review in. Total completed: 10 windows of varying sizes (some very largerl), double front doors, garage entry door. The wait time for install was very long (about 16 weeks), but we were well aware it was going to be prior to signing the contract, and accepted that. I wanted to mention this up front because when I checked reviews beforing hiring them I saw these were the hits that people lowered the score on. I'm not doing that as they told us upfront. The 1st day, two crews arrived. 1st crew: Dustin and (forget his name) to do the double entrance doors. 2nd crew: Dan and Adam to do the rest. Both crews were amazing... friendly, professional, and unintrucing. They did a great job and the windows and doors look great. These guys are very hard workers, and never took breaks other than a short lunch break. Dan and Adam here for 4 days. They cleaned up after themselves after each window, as well as end of the day. When they did the garage entry door (real hard job cutting concrete) they took great care to ensure my Harley was completely covered in plastic to ensure it was not covered in concrete dust. I highly reccomend Armortech... and based on the two crews we had, I have a feeling they're all great. I'll update this review as needed upon completion of our sliding door and French door openings. read more

I understand it is much easier to sell something when you do this in front of a husband and a wife but refusing to give you an estimate without my wife to be present is a total absurd! A salesman knocked on a door. I let him in. After a short conversation he actually scheduled an appointment to give me a free estimate on the same day, which was great for me since I was at home all day. When he asked me about my wife whether she is going to be at that time and after I said probably not, he made another call and then he said 'sorry, we can't give you an estimate without my wife. It's the policy'. What?! I really couldn't believe what I just heard! On another note, while talking to the gentleman, I mentioned that he can't solicit in this neighborhood. He replied 'Yes, I know. Someone already tried to call the police'. Really?! What normal company would disobey the rules and even admitting of their wrongdoing? Just stay away from this business... read more

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. I purchased some new windows from Armortech back in March for 15k. It is now mid August and the job is still not finished. The County Inspector failed the install on the first inspection on multiple levels and said it as one of the worst he had seen. He said it was not uncommon for companies like Armortech, the company grows too fast and they can't keep up with the demand, so the quality goes down. Another issue you will have is you will have to constantly call for updates on when they are coming back to finish the job, and each time you will feel like you were forgotten about or low priority. It has become a running joke the amount of time my wife has had to take off work to allow them to comeback and fix something. One time she took off work and they showed up with the wrong part and asked if they could comeback another day. They still have to comeback and replace one window and a couple of faulty locks so I'm not confident this will be done soon but, I will update when the job is finally complete. BOTTOM LINE, My wife and I work hard for our money and I'm sure you do too. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

Armortech installed 4 large sliding doors (one with 4 panels; one with 3 panels and two with 2 panels) in four rooms of our house and replaced 3 enormous arched windows in our family room. See photos. (1). Not the lowest bid (sketchy guy - no need for permit, etc!) but $20,000 less than some 'cookie' cutter companies. Fair price for the job! (2) After getting into the final details after signing the Contract, we all realized we were having a problem with the enormous size of the main window at the arch. I wanted a particular grid pattern in the windows and was set on it. The height and weight of the glass made the required load bearing sections (mullions) of the main arched window look too massive and out of proportion. Over and over we all tried to get my grid idea to work, with great cooperation from PGT. After 3 different CAD type drawings, neither we nor Armortech were happy with the proposed 'look'. Then Armortech brilliantly suggested that we slightly reduce in size this enormous window by 6 inches on each side, thereby bringing the window to a size that allowed us all to get rid of the massive load bearing sections. Perfect solution which resulted in EXACTLY the look I was trying to achieve -- a beautiful beautiful window. The additional cost to drywall, stucco & paint inside and out was offset a bit by the reduction in the cost of the glass and materials for that window! Throughout every step of the way, each and every employee we encountered was professional and thorough. They were meticulous to every detail. For example, after installation, they noticed that one section of one of the windows had a 'bubble' in it. We never could see that 'bubble', but Armortech promptly reordered and then reinstalled that section. I can't recommend them highly enough! I contacted 3 window companies for estimates to replace windows and doors in my house. I was looking at the same windows at each company. Armortech took the most time showing the product and explaining features. Although, pricing was close between all 3 estimates, Armortech was the only one who offered to price match the competition. The salesman, Brian, was knowledgeable, patient, and courteous. The new windows were ready before the projected date! Jim and Juan did the install. Excellent job. Professional in every way and did outstanding work. They did in one day what had been projected to take two. Clean up was immaculate. Directions left with me regarding the upcoming inspection were clear and thorough. I cannot think of one single thing to suggest they improve on! How often does that happen?! read more

Contracted for 17 hurricane panels, product arrived within reasonable time and product was acceptable. Chose to install myself, was short over 3 dozen bolts & wing-nuts to complete job. Reached to to Melanie the salesperson who tried in vein assist, speaking with in house staff who said " we'll take care of it". Granted this happened during the pandemic yet I waited over 2 1/2 months and still no response, called several times asking them to simply send the parts or leave on front porch to no avail. Very frustrated with their service and office staff. Signed a contract on 1/16/18, gave them 50% up front and was told it would take 16 to 22 weeks. I called after 16 weeks and was told they were just getting around to ordering my windows. Guess they are making money on holding those deposits so long. Finally did installation on 7/23/18. Great 2 man team of installers, but one screen was damaged, they said they would order replacement. Failed first inspection on 7/31/18. Corrections done 8/2/18. Reinspection done 8/21/18. Called about screen, promised by 9/15/18 but when I called they said it did not come in on the truck. Finally on 10/3/18 two guys came out to place final screws covers and put in screen, except it was the wrong screen. No call from the office with an apology. So guess I have to beg for my screen. I went in to look at doors on a Saturday.After waiting almost an hour ( there was only one person working) we looked at doors and the salesperson stated they also could refinish our old doors. He gave me a card for their refinisher , Bruce Grenley. I called and he finally called back a few days later, I told him I was looking to get my doors refinished, you could tell he didnt want to do it. He kept hemming and hawing until he finally left it like this 'If I get a chance maybe I will stop by sometime next week or so, if I am in the area' Obviously, I haven't heard back from him Update July 27 I went to the home show and stopped when I was walking past the Armortech booth. I told the two reps there pjs story and they said 'that sounds like Bruce' and left it as 'I don't know what to tell you'. I would not recommend this company to my enemy. They will not take responsibility for their errors or damage they caused. I had my windows and doors replacement project started by Armortech in mid September 2019. I should have reconsidered on the first day when I heard then entire team complain about how bad management was. On that first day they noticed that they had ordered the wrong doors. I also noticed that they ordered the incorrect transom window. I informed them of the error so that they did not put the window in and they said they would get the correct window ordered. On their next visit to install the right doors; I noticed that they were installing the incorrect window that I had discussed with them previously. When I pointed it out they reached out to their manager (Andrew) who called me up and argued with me about the window. Until I pinpointed his error and he did not apologize. A month later they came to install the correct window. In between that time I emailed Andrew about items that needed to be repaired. Including damaged threshold, damaged ceiling and damaged bathroom wall. I also informed him of damaged vinyl on the windows and silicone in between glass on one of the windows. He never acknowledged my email. In late October the correct window was installed and they set up for inspection. With the threshold still damaged, ceiling still damaged and Bathroom still damaged. Inspection failed due to missing screws, missing deadbolt plates, locks not engaging, wiggling doors showing visible light around the edges. They resolved the missing screw, wiggling doors, deadbolt, locks not engaging and had another inspection that passed in November. Though they did not repair the threshold, damaged ceiling, and damaged bathroom. I ended up having the bathroom repaired on my own. Dave committed to having Josh correct the remaining issues. In December Josh replaced some of the threshold. But the ceiling was not repaired. At that time I also noticed a cut they left on the outside wall over a door. I requested that be fixed too. In late December I noticed wood flooring buckling in one of my rooms. I thought maybe something had been spilled on it. I replaced the flooring in early January 2020. In mid January I was outside and noticed that there was a 1inch by ¼ inch cut on the outside window sill where they had removed a window. I called Jessie to inform him of the cut and that there was water damage inside the house below the window. I also informed him that I was going to have my insurance adjuster out that afternoon to look at it. He rushed out to repair the damage while I was not home. This was the first time they had rushed to do anything. I talked to Dave, the owner, and requested getting his insurance involved to repair the damage. He kept insisting he would have his crew out to determine what caused the damage. In told him that I was not comfortable with that option and he started arguing with me and hung up on me. In February I did get notification that his insurance had been contacted and they were sending out an adjuster. I also contacted Armortech to inform them of broken and damaged frames around the glass. March 2020 I get notification that they would not cover the damages as they could not determine what caused them as the damaged had been repaired. I reached out to Dave, the owner, and requested compensation for the damages and he is refusing. I finally had the ceiling repaired in late March. To this day the threshold is still not fixed, and they have not offered repair to either the bathroom or the flooring. Additionally, there are still broken and damaged frames around the glass. If you cannot trust the company through the install process how can you trust that the warranty they offer is of any value. I would also question the manufacture, PGT Windows in the case of the installed windows and PlastPro in the case of the doors. If they are working with a company with as low of standards as Armortech it is poor reflection of them. I should mention that the lending company Armortech set me up with, Greensky, paid Armortech before all work was completed. In other words Armortech was paid to leave a job incomplete and paid to damage property. Again, I would not recommend this company to my enemy. They will not take responsibility for their errors or damage they caused. read more

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. We were told 16 weeks by the salesman (Michael H.), it took them a month after we signed contract and gave deposit to send the person to measure our four pans slider. Then Michael said that it was not a problem and that it might be ready earlier anyway. We called in on week 14 and we are now told that nothing will be ready before week 20! They lied to us. We hope that the workmanship is not going to be as bad as the service. read more

We decided to replace several windows and our front door. We also wanted to replace a window and create a opening for 2 doors. Everything went pretty well- our windows went in fine and then the doors took awhile but it was summer 2020- Covid was delaying everything so we were patient. The doors came in with the wrong glass inserts so we continued to be patient. Finally they were ready to go and we were so happy with our new doors. However, 2 weeks after the install we noticed the trim around the windows was pulling away at the corners on the doors that replaced the windows. We called and after several calls someone finally came out and they filled it with silicone or caulking. This was not acceptable- - paid 10,000 dollars for these doors plus more for windows. After months they finally agreed to replace the doors and we again had to wait months for the manufacturer to send doors. My husband took time off work and we thought it would be done but no there was only one door sent! The installer discovered that the glass was in backwards so that the hurricane protection was on the inside. So we wait more months and we are told it is the color of our paint that is the problem. Our front door is the same color and is fine. We had to call constantly- no one ever called us to apologize or keep us updated. The glass started coming apart on the inside at this point. Finally, the doors are in and my husband takes another vacation day- we have been waiting about 8 months now. We get a call the night before install that they used our paint on someone else's doors- our doors are not painted. We told them to install anyway and they agreed to come back later and paint them. We arranged for a paint date and they did come and paint. The painter said he would come back the following Monday to remove the painter's tape and check on it. We were leaving for vacation but he said no one needed to be home. We come back from vacation and remove the tape ourselves. The doors were ordered in May 2020 and here we are finally with doors in June 2021. I have never been so disappointed in a company. Every one of the workers and the sales person -Brian was pleasant but no one really follows through! Customer service is non-existent. read more

On October 15th 2015 I signed an agreement for a sliding glass door with Armortech. My sales person was Andrew. Andrew was professional, informative, and had ready answers to questions. There was also a follow up meeting with the business owner Dave Yount, after I signed the agreement. The work commenced after the custom sliding glass door arrived to their facility at the end of January. The installation team (Matt and Chris I believe) were good and worked well together. Pat who does the cement/ stucco/plastering work was OUTSTANDING! He is a creative artist in cement and plaster finish making the house look like the exterior was never touched! I have had wonderful service from Armortech. I could not have all my windows and doors replaced at once. I got my first 3 windows from Home Depot and had nothing but trouble. Armortech was wonderful. First I bought a door with a custom made design. Not only was it perfectly drawn, but I had so much fun picking out the different colors and textures of glass! 2 years later I got the matching door and the rest of the windows. They were done on time, and the workmen cleaned up after themselves well. A year after that, I had another problem with a HD window. I could not get any help from HD. I called Armortech to ask them to recommend someone who could help me, and the Armortech guy himself came by after work and helped me for no charge. Since all my doors and windows have been replaced, he could not be hoping for more business, but he said he still considered me a customer. What business does that? I wonder whether all those bad reviews are from actual Armortech customers. Doubt it. read more

This company is not reputable. They installed an expensive "hurricane proof" garage door in my home that has leaked continuously since installation. They blame the leaks on everything but themselves. I had an old garage door there that I lived with since I lived here (4 years) that never leaked. I had damage to items stored in my garage. The owner of the company called me to demand final payment for the flawed door, threatening to take me to Small Claims Court; he had inaccurate information, basically called me a liar and used profanity while yelling at me. He charged me late fees for withholding payment. I submitted full payment today. I have submitted a report to the Better Business Bureau. For your own sanity and safety, I caution you not to use this company. read more

Worst co ever. Poor installation. Plugged drain holes and rotted frame in a yr. 4 36 inch panels and 3 sliders. I pd 16k. It ruined our floor in the Master BR. They came and replaced all the frames in the living room and the bedroom and then when they were walking away and I asked about the bedroom they said they would get back to me . That never happened I called almost daily for four months for Jeff and the owner Dave and they never called me back. I bet I left over 100 voicemail messages that they "never got ". Amazingly when we threatened an attorney, I was called back within five minutes on two occasions. they came out here it was another month to get our floor fixed and they were trying to tell me that their insurance wouldn't cover the damage. Too bad I wrote a check for 16,000 they needed to write a check to fix what they damaged . I told him that was their problem not mine . They tried to take alternate wood and just lay it in the opposite direction by the doors which would've been the worst thing you can ever imagine in a home like this. This is a huge lakefront home valued in the 700s I couldn't even believe they offered that . I was told I get an inlay but that was their "inlay". I've never heard so many excuses in my entire life. Finally a company came out to replace the wood grind it down sand the floors and re-varnish and finish but three days in a row that they were supposed to come they didn't even show up. I've used them and I've used Carrollwood and I would always go back to Carolwood don't use armoutech. read more

I was interested in windows and doors, and I called several places. Dave at Armortech had so much knowledge of the products, installations and he just told me the facts. I didnt feel any pressure to go with him, and I can see now why his business has thrived for the past 8 years and continues to grow. My windows are beautiful, the installers were professional and cleaned everything up when done. I would recommend them to anyone looking for windows and doors. great job. read more

I can provide the case number to the police report if need be but I don't know why this review was deleted. This company will never have my business and should never get yours either. A man came to my door saying that my neighbor just got windows installed and before he could schpeel his bs sales pitch I shut him down and said buddy you can't solicit here there's a sign at the front of the neighbor hood, you need to leave. He apologized and walked away. I got in my truck, and watched him leave multiple houses. I followed him, and proceeded to call the cops just like instructed by the police in the past. I follow him for a good 5 minutes waiting for the cops and a black Dodge Caravan with the Florida plate "GSYA63" fly's up, slams on the brakes, and picks up the guy. He tries to drive recklessly to get away but is just going in a circle and then slams on his brakes and I almost hit him. He (the driver) hops out of his minivan and comes up to my window and told me I need to fuck off and leave in which I replied this is my neighborhood you need to leave and he cursed at me some more but wouldn't leave my window. Feeling threatened (but certainly not scared) I said id beat his ass and he replied by yelling at me to get out of my truck, which I did. Clearly he was all talk because when I told him to hit me he said no, you hit me, and then I explain to him how he was the one who came up to my truck. He then got nasty and said it isn't my neighborhood, and that its my daddy's and its daddy's money. Police show up, he lies to them (of course) and when I try to shake his hand and apologize he tells me to fuck off again. I have tried to contact the owner David on many occasions, but I'm just directed to his voicemail. Horrible business you're running here and you need to stay out of Juniper Bay and Lansbrook in general. read more
