The first day we went after 2:30 and the store was closed. Said they were open at 2:30 but they were not. We went actually at 2:40. They still weren't open. Called the guy. He was very nice on the phone and said oh give me a big discount. Sorry sorry sorry so we made an appointment for Friday at 3 o'clock. Well guess what it's Friday at 3 o'clock and we waited till 10 after three the guy never showed up. I know it keeps getting good reviews, but you must have to know the guy. It's too bad. I have never written a review about a business before but I feel so compelled to do so after my horrible experience with Armond's. My fiancé and I went here to get suits for our upcoming wedding and we were appalled with the customer service we received. The owner was demeaning, arrogant, unhelpful, and downright rude. We left the store completely confused to be honest. It wasn't until a week later we received two (near harassing) calls from him later that I kindly told him we would be using another vendor for our suits (and I attempted to let him know why) and actually hung up on me! I'm truly quite astounded and disappointed that he has a store front in downtown Olean. We're shocked he's still in business. I would highly encourage anyone looking to buy or rent a suit, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

What a great experience we had at Armonds! Craig is amazing. He really knows fashion!! My son needed a tux for prom, but for just a few dollars more, we were able to buy him an amazing suit that will grow with him for years to come. Thank you Craig! He looked great!! read more

The owner of this establishment should be ashamed of himself. He acted as if he would be totally accommodating, that by having him do suits for my brother's wedding we would all be taken care of and as soon as he was given payment for the suits he couldn't be bothered to fix any of the numerous mistakes he had made, nor take any credit for such mistakes after the fact. He was beyond rude to the bride the day before her wedding when she calmly explained that her groom's pants were way too short, (as the groom had already told him days in advance), and he responded by being confrontational, saying he was the expert as if no one else's opinion mattered, (the pants were so short that the groom's ankles were showing when he walked...and I couldn't help but notice that our so-called expert wore his own pants too short as well). He would not let her get a word in without interrupting her, and then proceeded to insult her husband-to-be and said "he'll just have to suck it up and get over it". When I jumped in to show my shock at his rudeness, he yelled louder at me, told me it was none of my business and to get out of his store. I have never in my life experienced such rudeness and such a lack of customer service. Beyond that, the bride continually tried to calm him down, reminding him that everyone in the situation was adults and should be spoken to as such, (why would this need to be brought to someone's attention constantly? - They are completely irrational). I wouldn't ever recommend his services to anyone, not even my worst enemy. On top of the pants, my father's shirt didn't fit around the neck to the point that the button was a full inch from even coming close to buttoning, (after our so-called expert had measured him himself), and there was lotion and a half-pack of gum in the pocket of his suit-coat. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been privy to doing business with. People should be warned if they want to avoid stress on their wedding day or any other big event, when the cash passes hands, the sweet-talking ends. read more
