As you walk through the door you're met by DATA, she's the shops adorable & lovable rescue cat who loves treats! The guys there are incredibly knowledgeable & personable. They tried everything that could be done to fix my phone but it was unfixable. I felt comfortable knowing they tried, but the phone wasn't savable. I contracted with Swales to re-upholster a chair. Their price was $1300-$1500 with my own fabric…read moreprovided, which was pretty high, but I thought I could trust them to do a good job and agreed. Despite discussing the work ahead of time and laying the fabric out on the chair, and them agreeing to phone me if they had any questions, they did the work with the fabric in the wrong direction. (Wrong according to the manufacturer's own description, every single website showing the fabric, AND what we had explicitly discussed.) Imagine buying expensive pinstriped fabric and hiring a tailor to make you a custom suit, and when it's done, the stripes go sideways across the suit! They acknowledged the error and we agreed that before paying for the job they would recover the chair (I agreed to find new fabric at my own expense, which I thought was generous since it was their mistake.) But a few weeks later they they decided instead to take me to court to force payment on their error. I would recommend that nobody deal with this business. Not only do they seem incompetent in basic principles of upholstery or customer service, they do not operate in an honorable manner.
