You can get a magnet or t-shirt from some area attraction gift shops but if you want something unique to Jamestown or Chautauqua County and want to support local artists and business owners, Bio Dome is the place to go. Have to say, a lot of it seems very familiar and I am always impressed on how much they can get in there and how it is organized/decorated. A lot of care goes into it. I don't really recommend it for strollers/those with mobility issues/small children as the aisle spaces can be narrow and much in reach to accidentally be bumped. The rooms just keep on going and take up even more of the plaza than I remember! Most all of the items seem like they are of really good quality. I would say in general things are a bit pricey for Jamestown, but there are various price points and many things to buy in various price ranges. As per the name, most items have a more rustic/country/antiqued look to them. This isn't really my mom or my decorating style, but we still found items that we liked. They carry everything from curtains, lamps, wall art, pillows, quilts, decorative containers, candles, ornaments and more for home decor. There was also a large Vera Bradley section, as well as some other bags and accessories with a bit of a vintage/historical flair. If you are driving through the area, it is a neat place to check out that carries a lot of different things that you won't find at the big box stores.

In the process, the jewelry store lost a part, scratched the crystal and my father was given the watch back IN A BAGGIE IN SEVERAL PIECES. AFter sending it back to the manufacturer, my dad received an estimate of $178 to fix the damages caused by Carlson's Jewelry Smithing. I took the estimate back to them assuming the owner would want to make it right, instead he swore at me (tell me my father was a "rude son of a bitch) and threw the estimate back at me state, "i'll see you in court". Nice way to run a business. After telling my story to several friends and co-workers, I learned of at least 8 other people who had similar run ins with this same business. DON'T EVER TAKE ANYTHING HERE TO BE REPAIRED!!! I wish I had know of all this before hand, that's why i felt compelled to post this...

This is my go to cycle shop. The staff is friendly and they usually tune my bike for me while I…read morewait 10-15 minutes. I bought my last Trek bike here and I love it. I do between 80-100 a week and the staff (Mike) helped me pick out a bike that was just right for me and he gave me a great deal. I did have a cable fray a about a month after I bought the bike and the replaced it free of change and told me to come back in 100 miles to have the cable and gears adjusted. My only beef with the place is that they do not have a good selection of biking accessories so I buy a lot online and that's cool too...
