I have been going to Dr Gregory Armi for few years now he is the best dentist I came across after trying a few. Taking over his dad's business as his best teacher, he is combination of old school and new technology he truly cares about you and your teeth and has a unique approach to dental care that you may not find another like him. He also has a great staff that have been working with him for years. Thank you Dr Armi for all you did for me and my family. read more

Excellent and very professional service! We have been going to him for over 20 years and highly recommend him and his excellent staff!

Excellent dental care. Very thorough and professional. Milla is a superb hygienist.

So the year was 2011 and I hadn't been to a dentist in some time thinking of course I was brushing well, I didn't eat sugary sweets and abuse my mouth what possibly could be the problem... well after a prompting from my wife I visited her dentist of 15 years and my oral health has never been better. Dr. Armi and staff are all about education, proper brushing and flossing habits (he introduced me to a brushing technique that I had never been shown but which quite frankly revolutionized my mouth health, strengthening my gums and cleaning my teeth like never before!), which brushes to use and when (Sonicare in the morning and manual brush in the evening) and a whole host of other tidbits. When I first visited my mouth was bleeding like crazy and this last visit two weeks ago I had no bleeding, my gums had firmed up better than ever and the deep pockets in my gums that had been there have all but vanished and I owe it all to Dr. Armi and Milla (dental assistant). For convenience they have a text message service that reminds you of an appointment and you just have to respond with a "C" to let them know you are still coming on the appointed day and time. Lastly but certainly no least is MJ at the front desk, what a gem. She is so friendly and warm and even before I came there she ran a check of my insurance to see what my costs would be and also gave some insights into the practice and why she would love to have me as a patient, and now they do. MJ will always answer any question she can for you and she is quick when it comes time to scheduling your next visit. Thanks Dr. Armi et al I look forward to future visits and also the new upcoming renovations!! read more

Most of us don't think much about who we choose as our dentist; it's just this person we go to twice a year for the dreaded cleaning. When my then boyfriend (now husband) raved about his dentist, I wondered how great a dentist could possibly be. A year later and a new insurance, I decided to give Dr. Greg Armi a try. Wow! I didn't think it was possible to meet someone passionate about teeth, but this man sure is. And he really cares about you. I've been seeing him for the last three years, and even though I've moved farther up the peninsula there's no one else I'd trust with my teeth. read more

Jan 2011 - What a find! Dr. Armi is a SUPER guy and a GREAT dentist! First time I saw him I had broken a crown and called his office which referred me to his cell phone. He suggested I meet him at his nearby office, even though it was his day off. Dr. Armi repaired my crown expertly in about an hour! I was extremely impressed with him as a professional and as a person! His mission is to work with his patients towards their health - he's not about selling at all! He's my dentist from now on!!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Armi's all my life. I used to see his father, Dr. Phil Armi, when I was little, and then later, Dr. Greg took over the practice. For the record, I have two small (filled) cavities and a crown from a skiing accident. The office has always had a reputation for "doing it right" and not doing it cheap, fast, or dirty. They are thorough and careful. Dr. Greg sent my new crown back twice because he wasn't totally satisfied with the color, and he actually etched it just slightly in a couple of spots to get the grooving to match the neighboring tooth. The man is an artist. I have now had that porcelain crown for over 10 years; it looks and feels great. My stepson began seeing Dr. Armi a few years ago, and due to prior neglect and also some poor dentistry in the past, he had to have extensive dental work. The staff and the hygienist did their very, very best to make sure he was in as little pain as possible. Everyone was kind to him, and they educated him carefully about proper tooth care. They spoke to him about what he, himself, could do and must do if he wished to keep his teeth. Every time we have been back they have tested him for good brushing skill. They recommended a special tooth-building mouth rinse that helped build his teeth back up. And they recommended excellent, child-friendly specialists for the periodontal work and oral surgery required. Dr. Greg was clearly moved by what had been allowed to happen to the child's teeth and has done his best to help my boy. His office has modern equipment and the staff has good training. I was told by a referral oral surgeon that Dr. Armi is active inside the industry in teaching other dentists about modern techniques. Apparently the surgeon heard Dr. Armi speak and had very high regard for him - he seemed pretty jazzed about having gotten a patient referral from Dr. Armi. Dr. Armi even does charity dentistry on his vacations. This man is really dedicated to helping people. read more

Best experience ever with dental read more

Dr. Armi is not like any dentist I've ever seen...in a good way! The first time you see him you have to fill out a very detailed questionnaire about your teeth, health, etc. He asks you about your goals with your teeth--something I'd never really considered before. I just want to keep my teeth as long as I need them so I guess that's a goal. On your first appointment he does an extremely thorough exam. He told me things about my teeth no other dentist had ever told me before. Then he presents you with a list of recommendations. One thing I like is that he is conservative. For instance, another dentist told me that I should have a crown to replace an old filling. Fortunately, I resisted that idea because Dr Armi said I definitely did not need a crown. He replaced the filling and my tooth is fine. One unusual thing he does is that he cleans your teeth with baking soda--it feels kind of like having your teeth sandblasted. It's not painful, just different. I really appreciate his conservative approach and the fact that he doesn't push unnecessary procedures and services. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Armi - he is a complete lifesaver. I have suffered from TMJ for years now and he has been the only dentist I have found who doesn't first resort to surgery or braces. He takes a very methodological approach by reducing stress to the joint over time through adjustments of a mouth guard. Over time, the pain is reduced and my jaw is relaxed. I recently moved out of the Bay Area and still make the 3-hour drive up to Dr. Armi when I need to. He genuinely cares about his patients and even met with me on his day off and after hours one day when I needed care. Dr. Armi is a TMJ magician and I can't recommend a more kind, genuine dentist. Also, MJ at the front desk is always so friendly and helpful. read more

Our family has been going to Dr. Armi for about 10 years and he is a superb dentist. Ignore that review by the guy who claimed he rang some bell and got yelled at. There has never been a bell! And Dr. Armi would never yell at a patient, that was pure fiction and this guy was either reviewing a different dentist or a scammer. Dr. Armi is very skilled and his staff are also great. They work together like a well oiled machine and I mean that in a good way. read more

Dr. Armi is a really nice guy, and an excellent dentist. Highly recommended.

I've never been to his practice but I had the pleasure of assisting Dr. Armi at a CDA event and he was amazing to watch and to work with. The compassion he had for each and every patient that came to his chair was so touching to not only see but to also be a part of. In that environment the people come and go pretty quickly but it's obvious that he loves what he does and he cares about the people. For my first CDA cares event, and really my first time interacting with patients as a new DA I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Not only was he so kind but he also helped me to learn so much in the short time I was with him, I will cherish that and remember it throughout the rest of my career. I can only hope to be half as compassionate as he was today. read more

I was new to the bay area and needed dental care. I am so grateful my new boss referred me to Dr Armi. This man is very highly skilled and caring. Very, very, highly recommended. read more

Had a very negative experience with Dr. Armi. I have switched dentists and am much happier. Dr. Armi recommended a crown without really examining the tooth and walked away before answering my questions. The very next day, I received an estimate in the mail. I went to another dentist who looked at the tooth more carefully, took detailed pictures, discussed three different treatment options with me, and went through oral sedation options as well. We decided on a much less expensive/aggressive treatment. In addition, my new dentist can do a crown in 1 visit, vs. 2 visits with Dr. Armi. I should have switched dentists a long time ago. Also, I was always very uncomfortable with the hugs/kisses from Dr. Armi (yes, hugs and kisses from your dentist - eeek). Not professional or appreciated. I have no idea why I ever went back there more than once. I will say that the receptionist and hygienist are very nice. My only issue is with Dr. Armi himself. read more

5 reviews in 5 years - I should have sensed something wrong. I had a very ordinary experience. No doubt Dr. Armi is a nice guy. He seems very passionate too. But unfortunately, the entire ordeal seems like an exaggeration. He puts up this very choreographed 'performance'. While the examination seems detailed, it's overdone - resulting in a unnecessarily big bill, even post insurance. This office seems averse to their patients getting a second opinion too. The evening after I asked them to forward my x-rays to another dentist, I got a call asking if they should discontinue my records on their system! So much for all the commitment expressed in partnering with me to build a healthy record read more

I believe that I have had my first Zen dental experience. I arrived at Dr. Armi's with severe TMJ pain created by my prior over priced dentist who really messed up my whole bite. I did not have this problem prior to that dentist who continued to charge me to make it worse and worse. I had been in pain and unable to eat properly for over four months. Dr. Greg fixed this entire problem in two session! That is right--two sessions, and on top of it, his pricing is incredibly fair. Dr. Greg is not only an amazing dental healer, he is also a very kind, compassionate and caring human being. I cannot recommend Dr. Greg and his office enough! read more

I am a second generation patient. My mom and I were originally patients with Dr. Armi's father who has since retired. The transition many years ago was seamless. You really can't appreciate a dentist until you need one. Greg is one of those dentists who truly enjoys being a dentist. read more

very greedy. Charged over 2.5 times of the other dentists' usual amount for new patient exam. If you got lured by the good reviews here and decided to switch. Make sure you get enough money to pay out of pocket. Because the insurance will not pay the ridiculous amount of bill. The office manager MJ never listens. She seems to be nice in front of you but good in back stabbing. read more

Dr. Armi is an EXCELLENT dentist. He will ensure that you are completely satisfied with he's work. I completely agree with rhonda's review. Highly recommended!! read more

I'm truly grateful I found Dr. Armi. His level of care and thoroughness is outstanding. During my first visit Dr. Armi told me things about my teeth, by brushing style and even my toothbrush, that I had never been told before. I love his comprehensive and preventative approach. I have no doubt I saved myself painful dental work down the road by learning how to take better care of my teeth now. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Armi. read more

I am surprised to see such glowing reviews. My experience and that of my family is quite different. In short, Dr. Armi's temper is out of control. I always show up early to all my dental appointments at Dr. Armi's office. One of those times, I showed up early but I could not see anybody behind the counter. I yelled out and I rang the bell over and over again to no avail. I tried calling out and ringing the bell a few more times over the course of 20 minutes. Then I sat down in the waiting area for another 10 minutes. So, after 30 minutes of me waiting, Dr. Armi comes out and tells me I am late. I told him that I have been there for 30 minutes. He LITERALLY called me a liar and told me I should have rung the bell. I told him I had rung the bell. That caused him to lose it. He got red in the face and began yelling at me that I am lying and that it is impossible that I rung the bell and he did not hear it, etc. I went up to his face and with a raised voice, said, "I am not lying to you. I am not afraid of you. I have no reason to lie to you." He backed off and that was the end of it. I am a grown man and I can take it, but, at a later date, he lost his temper with my son. He yelled at the top of his lungs, red in the face at my 8-year-old son. Granted my son was squiggly, but Dr. Armi was way, way out of line. We left him and found another dentist and she is wonderful, kind and patient with all of my family members. Don't make him angry; he has a short fuse! You've been warned. read more
