I was skeptical about whether a consultant would make me be too conservative, or want to put me in heels all the time (OK, in full disclosure, I think she would have liked it if I wanted to wear heels all the time ... but she was totally cool and non-pushy when I said that's not going to happen). But instead I came home with new outfits that feel -- to paraphrase the old ad tagline -- like me, only better! My husband thinks I look great, a stylish colleague compliments me every time she sees me, and even my 88-year-old grandma told me, "Those are some nice sharp jeans!" The only downside was that the new clothes looked so great, my old look seemed baggy and crappy, and so I got rid of almost everything new and sort of blew my budget ... but it's so worth it. Kristin's attitude is also so positive, professional and friendly that it was a totally unselfconscious experience to be brought up to date and into a much more attractive -- and fun -- place in my fashion life.

I went to our initial consultation and learned a ton of great information about what colors work together, what styles are in and timeless, and what ever man needs in his wardrobe. Most importantly though, how all of this applies to me. Even more important, Kristin went personal shopping for me and picked out a ton of really great stuff for me to try on. I was the Julia Roberts to her Richard Gere. I had a great time trying on things I would have never picked but looked really great. I came out of the experience with a solid base of items that work together to give me a ton of amazing combinations for anywhere from casual to dressy occasions. I found Amanda to be the person to go to for that help. I recently completed a trip to New York City. I found the concept more than a little intimidating, so turned to Amanda for planning assistance. She found a hotel in a location that was both safe and convenient. Based on two or three conversations, she put together a detailed plan, filled with not only times, dates, places, and tickets, but with detailed information on what to expect at each chosen location and tips on how to get there. She also revised the plan based on changes I made in my plans. Unlike what I'd have found in a published guide, Amanda was always available to clarify what this or that bit of information meant. Her services were not limited just to planning, but to advice and problem-solving during the stay, including resolving an issue with the hotel within an hour of my learning of it and before I even reached the hotel. At times I felt as if I must have been her only client, so high was her attention level; but, in fact, she warned me on the day of the great worldwide computer snafu not to expect responses as quickly as I'd come to expect because she was shepherding people home from all over the world. The front staff were not unpleasant, but their solution to this problem is to have me walk around the parking lot to try to get service.
