He set me up with an appointment at the passport agency all on his own time. He knows the process and I think does an amazing job. I was just calling about a Chinese Visa and then I found out he wants to charge $269 to get a Visa, I was like "WHAT" and literally that's all I said before he became Belligerent and Belittling, do you think I'm giving my money to a @%$* like that, I think not, I went to Mile High Visas in Lakewood, what a pleasure doing business with them for only $69 vs. RAY's $269. Can not recommend. I would give zero stars, but it would look like I forgot to give a rating. Go elsewhere! Ray Priest is misleading, arrogant, inconsiderate, intimidating, and overpriced. He said he knew what he was doing, and in other areas, perhaps he does, but in our case, he did not, and made a big mess out of it. I was pressed for time, so I used his services. He made a mistake and did not take responsibility for it. Rather, he blamed others. If you have to use his services, get everything in writing in advance defining the scope of his promised services and an itemization of charges. My mistake for not doing so, but I will learn from my mistake and never use his services again. Take your time and get your Visa on your own, or check online at the embassy website to see where to send your passport to get your Visa from a specialist at a more reasonable rate. read more

I went here to get my visa to Vietnam. Place was kind of hard to locate. It's in an office building but parking is actually behind it so I ended up parking at the gas station nearby. The office seemed kind of unorganized with lots of stacks of paper which made me nervous. I worked with Ray and the whole thing took maybe 15 mins. They took my picture and I used the check in offer. This place was expensive for sure. If I was more organized I would've planned to get the visa myself for half the price. Oh well, I suppose that's why I paid so much since I was in a time crunch. Got my passport back fine so I'm happy with that. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews for this place before I called. I called inquiring about a Visa to China. The man I spoke with was condescending and rude. It seemed as if he was upset with me for asking questions. After he started belittling me for asking what type of Visa I would need, I just ended up hanging up. It was beyond bizarre. I've used this service and visited the office a few times. They may not get points for being warm and fuzzy, but they know their stuff and get the job done. The sales approach was a bit pushy the last time I was there, but they make their money by processing your application, not you going off and doing it in your own, so I can't really be mad about that. read more

As a Russian citizen, I had to renew my Russian passport this year. There is no Russian consulate in Denver, so I would have to go to San Francisco consulate, but I found this agency - which seemed to save me time and money (taking day off to fly to SF, tickets, hotels, while their service is around $450). At the IPV they told me it will take them around 3 months, and sometimes takes up to 5 months. After waiting for 3,5 months, I decided to check on the passport. I was told that I'm "not on the lists and will be notified once I am". I was also told, that once my passport is on the lists, they will deliver it in a week or two. I really wanted to know when to expect my passport, since I also needed to renew my daughter's passport which cannot be issued if mine is expired. So, in order to plan my trip to SF consulate for my child's passport, I had to hear I'm on the lists. I didn't want to buy tickets last minute. Once the person who worked with me on my passport heard I was going to SF consulate instead of paying them for this, she seemed to make her best to ruin my plans. BTW, my family plans for a long weekend trip depended on this! After 4 months, I kept asking her what's up with my passport. Instead of explaining me what's going on, she was rude and annoyed, and suggested to call Moscow (!) to cancel the process. I even asked her, if she processed my docs through SF consulate, so that maybe I could even save time by picking it up by my own. But she said no, she has sent my documents to Moscow. March, 5 months of waiting. I emailed her again wondering if I was on the lists. And...."Is your last name X....?", - she asks me back, like if it wasn't yet clear after 5 months of communicating over it. My first thought was correct: she forgot my last name and didn't check if I was on the list. Because, when I confirmed my last name she suddenly realized that I was on the lists. And apparently, I was on the lists for a long time but she didn't bother to check. She waited another few days before giving me the passport. I finally got it on March 14 after more than 5 months of wait. I checked the date of issue right away. It stated "February 19". My passport was issued a month (!!!) before she finally delivered it to me. Rude and unprofessional don't describe it. Seems like a total SCAM for me. They don't care about the work they provide, all they care is your money. read more

The service must have gone downhill for a while now because we couldn't be more disappointed when the staff literally can't have a civil conversation with you. How embarrassing; you think you're there to make an acquired business with an organization that has services and products available to you, only to treat you like you're nothing more than fluff. I have been a travel agent for 30 years and had referred many many customers to Ray at International Passport and Visas. I had never used them myself and boy do I feel terrible now about recommending them. My husband and I planned a trip to Asia and I could not navigate the websites so I thought I would turn to an expert. I called Ray and he was very nice and so helpful telling me that we MUST have a China and Vietnam visa before we left the US. I answered several questions and told him our departure date from the states. I then sent in all applications with photos etc. and Ray charged me $1200.00 for the visas. Meanwhile, the cruise company sent us an email about how they would get our visas for us on the ship. I called Ray and he said NO ABSOLUTELY NOT,we had to have them before we left the US. About 2 weeks before we left I emailed Ray and left him a voicemail asking when we would get our visas. He never returned my call or email. About 5 days prior to leaving I called him again and he said that even though I sent him our dox 2 months prior he had not obtained our visas yet. He state we still had time because we weren't leaving for 2 weeks. I said NO WE ARE LEAVING in 4 days including a weekend. I had out dept date wrong. He then stated that we could get the Vietnam visa on the cruise ship and for China, they have a new transit visa were you be in China for 96 hours without a visa. When we got to China the visa only cost a few dollars. The Vietnam visa was obtained by the cruise line for$6.00. Unbelievable! Then, when I contacted Ray for a refund since he did not obtain visas for us he did not ever refund our money. I had to file a dispute with my credit card 60 days later to get my money back. Terrible Terrible service. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone ever again. read more

AWESOME! Visas and passports are intimidating and most people become scared when having to deal with the process. Even with a great company like International Passport Visa, they can't do it all for you. You must fill out some forms, take the photos and send it on its way. This raises a lot of questions and insecurities which are deferred to the Visa company for clarification. International Passport Visa makes magic happen. Chinese, Brazilian and Russian visas all went smoothly and super fast. Need a visa renewal or duplicate passport in a hurry, this is your company. I have used other companies and IPV is head and shoulders above the rest. Try them!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My experience with International Passport Visas, Inc. and specifically, H. Ray Priest, CEO were the worst example of customer service that I have ever experienced in my 20 year career in Administrative Services. Our company attempted to obtain foreign business visas for two executives utilizing IPV with very poor results. During this process there were delays that were blamed on me as the client, excuses made stating that this particular consulate was "difficult" to work with, excuses that the consulate had "run out of printer ink" one week and then "ran out of visa stickers" the next. At some point we found this very difficult to believe and then inquired with other visa agencies who assured us that they had processed similar business visa requests through this consulate with no issues during the same 2 week period. The IPV office told me to have our invitation letters sent to the Los Angeles consulate. When the first passport request for a RUSH service had been with IPV three weeks, the executive became concerned and my associate called Ray for an update on the progress. She was yelled at and told that we should have used the New York consulate and he was, "tired of people lying to save their jobs and thinking they can do someone else's job", implying that his staff had not told me to use the New York consulate. A full week later when my own executive became nervous about a) not having his passport in hand and b) not having any idea when it would be returned; he asked me to call IPV and discuss the possibility of his flying to the consulate and personally requesting that the passport be returned. I called Ray and rather than discussing this possibility, he proceeded to yell at me, call me names as well as attempt to belittle and demean me for not just trusting him. When I asked about his customer service practice of personally attacking his clients, he told me that he had, "been in business for over 30 years" and I was "an idiot" for not trusting him. At the time of this call, he had my executive's passport for over 3 weeks and his standard answer was, "if we had used the New York consulate this wouldn't be a problem." If you are in the Denver Metro area and looking for a company to conduct your visa/passport services, shop around and do NOT use International Passport Visas, Inc. Even if you have to send your passport to an out of state agency, it will cost you less money and you will have your documents back in time to travel. read more

I have used international passport visas twice and both times they have helped me obtain visas or information needed to travel to foreign countries. It is easier (I believe) to get your visa in advance than to obtain one when you arrive in a particular country. Keep it simple, tell them your travel plans, send them the necessary/required documents to obtain a visa and that's it. Haven't had any problems with the business personally, so I would say give them a chance and see how well they work with you. read more

I called with some questions regarding an upcoming trip for my daughter, as I am not versed in the visa arena. If there was a zero star rating, I would have selected it. My experience with this business was limited to a phone conversation. I called with an urgent question about a "72 hour visa free transit" program for international travel. The reply to my question did not match anything I had read online on multiple sites, including those of the Chinese embassy and Japanese consulate. When I expressed my concern about this, the man, whose name I did not ask for, rudely admonished me for not listening to him, because I asked him a question during his explanation. He then proceeded to inform me that nothing I would find online pertaining to this topic was valid, and that my husband would NEVER be allowed into Shanghai without a visa, in spite of everything we had read and been told about the aforementioned visa-free transit program, which, but the way, exists in 52 countries. He added that the Chinese government never tells anyone what the "rules" are and that my husband could be held in the Shanghai airport for 3 days sitting next to a trash can, and possibly not be released to return home without paying $10,000. Well, what happened was that my husband exited the plane, walked directly to the 72 hour visa-free transit lane in immigration, had his passport stamped and walked right on through. Never a question. This man is uninformed and unprofessional. I would never trust him with any aspect of my travel, and you shouldn't either. FYI, we learned through this process that many airport personnel who should know about these programs really had no clue. So do your research, check with the consulate generals and embassies before stepping onto foreign soil. There are some amazing options for checking out foreign cities for short periods of time. read more

There are no words to express how strongly I urge anyone needing a visa service to look elsewhere. Our experience began with a representative meeting our travel group and collecting our passports, personal information and payment checks. We were told our passports would be returned with the needed visas in as soon as three weeks but perhaps longer. After a month, we phoned and let a message asking how much longer. We did not receive any reply. At the 2 month mark, our travel agent who had made the arrangements with IPV received an email from Ray Priest saying all our passports and visa applications were missing and "possibly lost inside the Consulsate." No other details were forthcoming but we were asked not to report this to anyone and not to contact the foreign consulate. Over the next several weeks, we were sent forms and money to cover our expenses so that Intl. Passport Visas could get our passports replaced and the visa secured. A form was also included which they said they would turn into the US govt. to report the lost passports. The replacement procedure involved getting new photos taken, going to the postoffice to have the passport applications officially stamped, and more. Eventually we did receive both the new passports and needed visas in time for our trip. The amount of hassle and worry caused some people to cancel their trip eventually. Many of us have purchased services to keep watch on our financial accounts for unauthorized withdrawals/activity. The general consensus was that we were informed long after the initial loss of the passports and never given a good accounting of how it happened. We also felt that each traveler should have been contacted individually instead of the company leaving it to the travel agent to relay the situation to us. I cannot in any way recommend the use of this company after our experience. read more

Oh wow, just got off the phone with Ray after calling and inquiring about student visa applications to Australia. I should have hung up after he answered with "this is Ray," (great way to run a business, pal) He proceeded to be arrogant and condescending which is a hard task to do on the phone...but believe me, he did it. I had to hang up after I came to the realization that he knows NOTHING about student visas, and even less about protocol for traveling to Australia. There is such thing as an evisa, which students are able to apply for when studying abroad temporarily. He told me they don't exist, I said they do (they do, http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/) then he said something to the effect of "Oh, you have it then?" I said no (because I've been running into browser issues / trouble finalizing the international transaction with my credit card). He then said, right, because they don't exist. Everything went well for the first half of my quick-turn passport renewal. Then it all fell apart. Because their employees cannot be bothered to show up at work on time, I missed the bus back my hotel. Because I missed that bus, I missed my van to the airport. Because I missed that, I missed a flight at the airport. The effect kept snowballing through the day. I have no problem spending the exorbitant fees for the services I need. What I needed in this case was a bit of basic professionalism in return. I'm giving two stars rather than one because they did, in fact, get my passport renewed quickly, as promised. I had a feeling about going here and now that my passport is in suspension I have offered to go to the agency but am told by Ray to let him do it since you sign a paper authorizing him on your behalf. I turned my items in 2 weeks ago and received a call yesterday that my passport is in suspension. Why did it take 2 weeks for my passport to be denied instead over a week ago? I leave tomorrow..... More than rude and insulting, Ray Priest is a liar and a con artist. We went to his agency to get China visas; a work visa for me and a tourist visa for my wife. Priest told us that the Chinese were now issuing ten year tourist visas, and that our passports did not have sufficient time left on them, and not enough blank pages to accommodate the new visa requirements. (This, even though my passport still had two years, and six blank pages left on it, while my wife's had three years and eleven blank pages). In addition, since I was going to China to work short term, I asked Priest for a work visa (category Z), which is only issued on a one time basis. (again, no need for a new passport). Trusting his expertise, we went ahead and got new passports at considerable unnecessary expense. After we returned from China, I decided to look into the matter. What I discovered from checking out the websites of the Chinese Consulates in Chicago and Los Angeles, and the Embassy in Washington, was that the PRC only requires six months validity on your passport, and "blank pages" for visas (no specified number). The US State Department's website pegs it at six months validity and two blank pages. Ray Priest deliberately misstated the requirements in order to bilk us into buying new passports which we clearly did not need. I filed a complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Fraud Division of the Colorado Attorney General's office. This guy is on a major power trip. He kept comparing a lost/stolen passport to my house burning down.. really? Does he think he is a heroic fireman coming to save my day? This guy is a joke. First he wants to tell me how well he knows the business and then how every situation is different when I'm trying to ask him what we need to do to replace the passport. I'm pretty sure it takes the same steps for everyone to replace a lost passport as I just did them and it took very little time but he wanted to make it as complicated as possible. I went to the passport agency the next business day and had my passport 3 hours later. Waited in line for maybe 5 minutes. Much faster than he could have gotten it and a lot cheaper!
