I put off ever buying clothes from A/X, mostly because I knew the stereotypical male that used to wear their tees advertising A/E and felt it was not for me. However, after the holidays, my GF and I passed here to see boots at Nordstorms. A/X was having a great sale - 60% off everything in the store, with lots of options and sizes still available. Their clothing, once I gave it a chance while keeping my judgmental eyes in check, was quite well constructed and well-fitting. I ended up getting two chinos, with cool eagle metal logo detail and a shawl sweater which was quite unique. It seems they have more options for women, and my GF was able to get a nice winter coat and a grey blazer, and steep discounts. Plus the staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep this place in mind after the holidays, and you won't get this well made stuff any cheaper. read more

My biggest complaint is their pricing. I don't mind buying a $200 jacket that will last me years and make me look like I just lost 40 pounds (when I gained 20).... but I do mind that the next time I stop by for my next splurge, that $200 jacket that I stupidly bought is $59. I have witnessed this happen at least 6 times. Thank God it wasn't all me. Moral of the story? Wait. I promise the next time you're in here, the size small shirt dress with the adorable flutter sleeves and sleek silver belt for $129.99 (that you've been dreaming of since you tried the thing on a week ago) will be hanging on the sales rack with a 39.99 orange sticker. Funny, my Guy and I walked in and none of the 2 sales people approached us after looking at us. In steps Sales Lady Erica to assist me with a chic Navy blue Ladies trench coat. I try it on and WHOA, it looks soooo good. I ask her to take it up to the counter because I have more things I want to look at. Funny though... The more stuff I picked up to buy the 2 sales people who wouldn't give me the time of day asked if they could help me. "Nope, thanks, Erica has me all taken care of; thank you..." In total I picked up that Trench coat, a belt, a perforated wallet, a great top, a handbag, and 2 shirts for my beau. Not bad, not bad at'all. Thanks Erica!!! read more

I had to pick up a few items for work. The attire is office casual so I was relieved when everything didn't have glitter and rhinestones all over. They had some beautiful pieces that can be worn in the club, or in the office. They've really matured in their designs, quality in stitching, and fabric. Express needs to take note! Anyway... I'm the type of person that gives credit where credit is due, or a thumbs down if you're crap. Yes A/X is my favorite store, but I must say that Leigh always does a great job. Today was the 3rd time she's helped me over the past year, and she has consistently been great! She's really positive, helpful, and friendly. The epitome of excellent retail customer service. Yes, she helps me find things to flatter my body and styles I like, but she's not trying to force anything on me or bug me or ignore me. Perfect balance. read more

Armani Exchange is not on my regular rotation, but I found myself drawn in by a blue and white seersucker dress in the window--preppy with a twist. Sadly, the dress was not in stock in my size, but there were several other options from which to choose. I ended up with a clean front (streamlined and just a bit slouchy) seersucker pant which I know will see a lot of wear this summer. I am glad that I satisfied my curiosity with a visit to this store and am pleased by the styling and fits of the items. The sizes skew smaller, more on the order of Zara or Benetton. I will definitely make it a point to check out this location more frequently, and to visit the other location, in Water Tower Place. read more

This Armani Exchange is in the mall with Nordstroms, Sephora, and a few fancier shops. The staff is extremely helpful, the dressing rooms are clean, and the sales section is large. read more

Their jeans are great because they seem to last for such a long time. I have a pair that has lasted me five years and still going. The color is practically fade-resistant and it's worn in the perfect areas. I have a couple work shirts from here and the quality is great - so you definately get what you pay for. Even though the prices are a bit steep, it'll last you a lot longer. read more

Okay they're blazers/jackets fit me PERFECTLY. I used to really love their jeans as well because they offer "short" styles, before I fell in love with my seven's. But really their outerwear fits so well for me- I love their jackets. Tees are too flashy for me, I am not into the whole branding tees- so I stay away. Staff is always friendly. ​Horrible staff! Incompetent = understatement. It took LONG two visits to Armani Exchange 520 N Michigan Ave Chicago, IL location to make a simple return of my wife's merchandise. On my first attempt I was meet by an ignoramus who​ misinformed me on A/X return policy. My second attempt was on a Sunday morning and the manager couldn't process the return on her register. Instead of trying another register, she blamed it on my credit card. Frustrated, I called my credit card company. While I was on hold waiting for a credit card representative, the manger finally tried another register. In a matter of seconds this register successfully processed the return. Knowing that everyone has bad days, I only write bad reviews when the poor service involves more than one staff member. I will never shop there again. Shame, because my wife like's A/E new line. read more

Never thought I'd be one to spend money on jeans. I was browsing through Old Orchard jean shopping & walk by Armani Exchange. I have walked by this place several times but never had the urge to go inside. I'll admit, the hot girl in the skirt standing in the doorway drew me in. How could I say no to a very good looking girl smiling at me??? I guess I could go in and check it out! So in I walked. The first thing that hits me is the loud music cranking! Holy Cripe........can ya turn it down a few notches?? So I am browsing through their clothing..........and yeah alot of it is expensive and alot of it has "ARMANI EXCHANGE" plastered all over the sleeves and shirts. Not for me. The polo shirts were very expensive, and a $78 shirt I could get for $30 in a few months! ha! Anyway I priced the jeans and actually they weren't too bad! Nice jeans these days are a little more expensive, unless you are that guy that still wears Levi's or black jeans. Shell out a few more bucks to get some stylish jeans! Anyways they fit well..........really well! Looked great. So why not treat myself to a good pair of jeans?? I did see a few shirts that weren't too "Loud" and reasonably priced. May be back for those another time. Overall, it was a good experience. I may have lost some hearing, but the girls working were hot & helpful. The jeans fit great & look great! This is my brother's favorite store so I went to purchase a gift card as a Christmas gift. I usually buy him a gift card for his birthday and for Christmas (about a $1,000 a year). While I was there, I also bought a sweater for myself. When I got to the register, the employee did not know how to put money on the gift card, so another girl came over. She also had difficulty so the manager came over. He thought I was trying to pay the sweater with the gift card which of course had no money on it and he was completely confused. He seemed nice enough, his name is Francisco. After standing there for close to half an hour he gave me a discount on the sweater as an apology. To my surprise, when I got my credit card statement, I had been charged twice. I called the store and talked to the same manager, Francisco, who had taken care of me and he told me not to worry, that he would take care of things when he talked to his boss in N.Y. I talked to him Saturday night and it is Tuesday and I have not heard anything from him or his boss. He took my phone number, e-mail address and promised to get back to me today since I will be traveling for the holidays. I can't believe that not only did they make a HUGE mistake by charging me twice, but that they don't value their customers enough to take time to fix the mistake.
