Summary: Steer clear of this company and save yourself from the unprofessional headaches of no communication, pushing off their customers despite an emergency situation, having no regard for your property by damaging and leaving garbage where they worked, and potentially being shaken down for more money after your quote is given when they know you have you in a vulnerable spot. I called numerous companies looking for someone to come out and give me a quote to take down a branch that was falling in my backyard. I got in touch with Armandos on 07/10/2023 at 3:20 pm. They said they would come out that night to quote me for the branch. They arrived at 5:50 pm and gave me a quote for $450 to take down the branch and the wood away. I asked when he could come out, and he stated that he had a large client on 07/11/2023 but could come on 07/12/2023. I said I was concerned about the branch coming down before then, and he said I had a year before it came down since the branch was secured on another tree. I told them I would call them within the hour as another person was coming to give an additional quote. After the second person came, I called Armandos back at 6:59 pm and told them I would like to go with their company. He said that was great, I then asked when they could come on Wednesday, and he said he would have his receptionist call me in the morning the next day on 07/11/2023. I waited the whole day until 3:55 pm, when I decided to call them back since the receptionist never reached out. A woman answered the phone and said she had yet to speak with her boss that day but was going to call him and would call me back within one hour. She never called me back that night. Then the next day, 07/12/2023 at 12:55, I reached out again and spoke to the same woman stating that I had yet to get a callback but was wondering if she was able to get in touch with her boss. She immediately got defensive and gave excuses about how it was late, and when I called it, it was close to after her work hours. I told her my intention was not to question why she never called me back, that I really wanted to get a time for an appointment so the branch doesn't fall, and so I can coordinate someone being home. She said she would call me back. At 3:40 pm, I got a call back that they would be able to come the following day on 07/13/2023, at approximately 1:00 pm. I told them that was fine. At 10:05 am, I got a call from a different number which was Armandos, and the initial male that gave me the quote told me he had come by the house this morning and that the branch looked lower, so he wanted more money. He wanted $100 more since it's more work cutting the branch. I brought up the communication difficulties listed above and how I told them from the beginning that I wanted them to come as soon as possible, but now since he put me off, he wants to shake me down for more money. He told me I never called him to make an appointment. I told him all the times I called, and he then told me I never called them back. Knowing I needed to have the branch down and that I couldn't afford to go longer to have someone else come, I agreed to pay $50 more for the branch, resulting in $500. They came to cut the branch and made an absolute mess on my property. They took out a wire gate I had around my garden and never put it back. In addition to that, they left their garbage water bottles scattered on my property and scratched my fence! After the job was completed, with my phone recording, I handed him his shakedown rate in cash. I confronted him on how I didn't appreciate the way his company handled my situation and really didn't appreciate him shaking me down. He just nervously laughed and said I never called them for the appointment. When I told him I have the call logs and told him the exact times and who I spoke to, he then staggeringly came up with a story about how he got me confused with a Dan in Ridge who had trees cut down two days prior. I told him I would leave an honest detailed review with screenshots and how I didn't appreciate how I was treated and thanked him for his service this time, but would never use him again. His departing comment was that's okay we like customers who leave nice reviews anyway and left. read more

Armando and his team produced 1st rate work and I would highly recommend them to anyone! An utterly incorrigible neighbor of mine had chased and frightened-off our first tree company. In my neighbor's property, he had Rickety old Norwegian Maples which several arborists have concurred were way past their expiry date. Dangerous limbs encroaching upon my property have repeatedly fallen causing damage over years, We attempted reasoning and had duly offered to remove and replace these said trees at our cost but alas, his recalcitrance was steadfast and persistent. Kindly note: This neighbour actually was caught trespassing and attempted to coerce Armando and his team on my property so as to cease work that was irrefutably lawful and just - audacious indeed. This tree service has trespassed on my property two times in just over 13 months. They were contracted by my neighbor and both times I called the company to inform them they were trespassing. On both occasions, they informed me my neighbor said they gained permission for their huge truck to come all the way up my driveway and trim a tree on my property. I've never even met this landlord neighbor. I never gave this permission and told them as such the first time they trespassed. This huge truck with a crane on the back dropped stabilizer bars further damaging my driveway on both occasions. Today they trimmed limbs that were clearly on my property despite being warned not to so. Beware of this company which doesn't seem to respect property rights. read more

Armando's Tree Service was hired by my neighbor to trim tree's on the property line. They skinned the trees to virtually nothing and took down 2 healthy young trees that they were not authorized to take down and they flat topped the upper trunks of several trees to eliminate the canopies. WATCH OUT if you see Armando's Tree Service working on a neighbor's property. They will butcher your tree's at the direction of whoever is paying them. A police report is on file. read more
