We are thrilled with our new kitchen backsplash and received five star service from Roberto at…read moreEscarlata Tile. From the time of my first contact, Roberto responded quickly and professionally to every request. He was able to come out to provide a quote late on the same day that I contacted him, and he made sure that we had enough tile to complete the job (we had purchased it almost two years ago and then procrastinated on hiring the tile installer, and we had gotten only just barely enough -- 15 subway tiles left at the end). He was prepared to discuss the schedule at that time, and it worked out that he was able to fit in our small job (with the help of his assistant) before he started work on another larger project the following week. Roberto was easy to work with throughout, texting back quickly whenever we had questions. Roberto also gave us good suggestions about the grout and schluter colors for the finish, and we love the way the finished project matches our cabinets. The work itself was very well done, as far as I can tell. I realize as I write this review that I can't compare and contract tile installers the way I would compare different restaurants. I've only ever hired one other (in the East Bay, more than a decade ago). I'm including a photo that I sent around to family to show them how beautiful it looks. As far as cost, Roberto's bid was the middle of the three quotes we received, but it was pretty close to the lowest bid. I had much greater confidence in Roberto from our interactions, so we selected his firm for the job. I will go directly to Roberto in the future if we have any tiling projects.

DO NOT HIRE!!!…read more Roberto tiled our shower and it looked beautiful initially. Then we noticed that he used brown grout to tile the top portion of our shower (to stick it to the wall). It seeped through and ruined the tile. He was literally too lazy to go to the store to get white grout. The bottom of the wall he tiled looks fine but the top portion is awful. This was clearly his mistake. I told him I'd even buy replacement tile but he needed to fix it. We haven't heard from him since. Zero integrity. Stay away!!!

Fabulous work! I…read morehave done floors and have referred friends over the years and the guys always do a very good job. The owner Pablo is beyond knowledgeable. I think they have been in business for 30 plus years, which is comforting. I heard the owner is what they call an Expert Floor Witness or something like that (often called to evaluate court cases to figure out who is responsible and why), that's how knowledgeable. Something I also like to support is people who give back. Pablo gives back to our community in a HUGE way. This is a business I highly recommend. Deserves five stars.

The logistics and operations were great throughout the job and the level of workmanship was top notch. We were using Heath Tile, and a complicated pattern at that, but at no point were Mick and the team phased by it. The end result was spectacular and they came in on budget and to timeline. Fast forward to 2025 and we called upon London Tile to help us with a larger project. Greg (Mick's son) was our point of contact and they worked on 3 areas of the house. Firstly his team were able to easily correct some poorly installed bathroom tile (from another company) and later they installed beautiful backsplashes for the kitchen and wet bar. Again, we used Heath Tile and again, a fabulous result. The team are prompt, tidy, accurate and focused in their work and are a real joy to work with. Highly recommend.

Because we bought a home with radiant heating in the floor, we couldn't use real wood. At any rate, their first installation was top notch. Moreover, they were polite, did a fine job, and cleaned up after themselves. Their work has stood the test of time. The planks are still level, and the grout is still intact In 2024, we decided to remove the carpeting on the second floor. We contacted Mick, and asked him to come out and give us a bid on installing approximately 800 ft of porcelain planking. Mick now has his son Greg running point. Greg and his team also did an excellent job. They were very polite, and were very good about cleaning up after themselves. The planks are level, and the grout looks fine. They were great about moving and protecting furniture and didn't grumble when my husband and I had to work out the arrangement of an area carpet under an extremely heavy bed. There is a bit of art involved in the placement of plank flooring. They were very good about consulting with us - and made certain we were happy with the placement. We are extremely satisfied with their work, and would use them again.
