Sean (owner), Michael (foreman) and Kylie (designer) were great to work with. Project was completed on time and within budget. They were very responsive and creative when putting together the design for our kitchen and 2 bath remodel. We expected the renovations to take up much of our mental energy but the team handled the day to day with such ease so we never had to worry! Would highly recommend! read more

Not the same company as when Al Lamperti ran things. The new ownership doesn't seem to care about old customers. I had a problem with the kitchen cabinets -- left 3 messages with them over three separate days but not even a call back. Nothing is more important when hiring a contractor than communications. From this experience I will not be going back to Lamperti for future remodels. read more

Really? Tried to some basic information from them on products they carry and all I got was attitude and combativeness from the person who answered the phone. Because I wasn't asking for information in the way she wanted to provide it. Unbelievable huffing, puffing, snarkiness... really? Where is the customer service ? read more

We haven't even started our kitchen remodel yet, but I don't want to wait that long to write about our experience so far with Lee Ottenbreit at Lamperti. We began by meeting with her and her crew, and she came out to our house with her contractor to work up a bid. We decided in the end to order our cabinetry through them, but to use our own contractor. If I had a larger budget, I definitely would have had Lamperti handle the entire remodel, and I have no doubt the end result would be amazing. They offer quality service, and I wouldn't expect not to pay for that. That said, their cabinetry quote was actually less than a competitor's. Lee is a consummate professional who truly knows her stuff. She really is going above and beyond to help me get my dream kitchen, and I so appreciate her patience, knowledge and stellar attention to detail. She is a true gem, and is making this process so much easier for me. Thank you so so much, Lee! I can't wait until my beautiful teak cabinets arrive!! read more

We just completed a total remodel of our kitchen, down to the studs and some! We are extremely pleased with the work of Lamperti. For so many reasons. First, working with Lee to design something that both worked and did not take away aspects of the room that we wanted to preserve. There was one wall that begged to be cut back but we held it for a specific painting my wife wanted to display. Lee quietly and boldly suggested a different flow between, sink, stove and fridge that we had not considered. It's working so very much better now. Inside the showroom, Lee showed us wonderful choices of cabinet configurations and we were impressed with her knowledge of the internal niceties that are now proving so practical. For the counter tops, Lee took us to stone yards and introduced us to patterns that were quite remarkable. Second, the deconstruction/construction/installation was presented to us in a Microsoft Project Plan. This was so unexpected. I could see what they were going to be doing on November 2nd and by golly, that is what they did. The real benefit I found with Lamperti was two fold. First, they manage the job. Sean and/or Gordon were on site 90% of the days. Checking in with me, my wife and the contractors. The second point worth noting is the superb quality of their contractors. Framing, rocking, flooring, plumbing, wiring, painting, cabinets - if I had to pick one over the other - I could not, they all scored a 10. Their work, tidiness, friendliness, professionalism, first class, top notch, every one of them. I think that says something about Lamperti. Having written that I realize that one guy did score a 10.1 - Bruce, cabinet installer extraordinaire! Not just install correctly, wait until you see the little extra touches he adds to the job, a real professional and a total pleasure to work with. Last point, price. It was a lot but as everyone knows kitchens and bathroom! Ours is not a mega-mansion, a small family sized cottage in Sausalito. My sense is that it was very well worth the money. We got more than we expected, we enjoyed the process, we enjoyed the crew, we enjoyed Lamperti. read more

I purchased a replacement under-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator from Lamperti. Luckily, I also had them do the removal/replacement. Because the kitchen floor had been replaced since the original purchase, the removal was extremely difficult. The crew was terrific. They never complained and they were very careful. Although it took a few extra hours, everything was perfect. No damage, dirt, etc. If I'd had an appliance installation company do the install, I think they might have damaged the granite countertop or the woodwork. Because Lamperti does complete kitchens, their guys know all about these related issues. And the office people are great, too. read more

We were turned away right when we got in the door. No other customers yet the woman was so rude and unhelpful. You lost our business.

Please note: This review is based on Lamperti's customer service only. My husband and I are redoing our kitchen and have been working with a kitchen designer that we are very pleased with. Because I am indecisive, I have been waffling about our wood finish for quite a while and just needed to make a decision. I know Lamperti carried the line of cabinets we are going with and wanted to see if they had of the possible finishes I was lamenting about. Note our kitchen designers showroom is on the smaller size and he did not have that exact sample readily available. I was frank with Leslie and Beth at Lamperti, telling them that I would not be ordering cabinets from them, and yet they were more than happy to show me samples and take the time to explain to me pros and cons of my options. I left knowing exactly how I wanted to proceed and felt a weight had been lifted because I finally had made my decisions. The fact that Beth took as much time as she did with me, knowing that it would not result in a sale, to me, says a lot about the company. read more

Very dissapointed with there supposed designer and there customer service way over priced for the service you get and there knowledge is limited. Had a much better expiernce with a company for a 1/3 of the costs on our rental house and there service and timming was so much better. read more

This rating is merely based on my visit to their showroom while hunting for a contractor to remodel my kitchen. Their show room is impressive, with beautiful sample cabinetry and finishes to choose from. I also know that they have been in the same location for quite a few years, as I live in San Rafael. The thing is that in my visit, I talked with a representative and the first thing she asked me was what was my budget. Well I am sure that that information is helpful to them, but how does one know what the kitchen that you want costs to give a reasonable answer? So in asking further, the conclusion was that their kitchens started at approx $50,000. and up. So you average people out there, I know it is hard to find a contractor, in the Marin area, that does not have high end prices to cater to the wealthy market, but keep on looking, it is not Lamperti. read more

I can't say enough good things about Lamperti Contracting & Design, and particularly about Tim, who provided outstanding service during our kitchen remodel. We had worked with two other kitchen companies but were not satisfied with products or pricing. Tim helped us to get the cabinets we wanted within our project budget and then followed through on every step of ordering, checking the cabinets, and working with our contractor extensively on details of the installation, including replacing a couple defective parts and visiting our house numerous times to make sure that everything was going in correctly. Tim, Sean, and Bruce all provided exceptional service to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied with the cabinets and their installation. We are very satisfied with the service we received and highly recommend Lamperti Contracting and Design. read more

We recently had a small rmodel of our kitchen completed. Surpisingly for the trades, they were on time, efficient and neat. More important they stayed with the job until completion and did not send crews elsewhere during the work which is a constant among contractors looking for advances on their work when there cash rreserves are limited. A little pricey but the value was there and I would have no hesitation recommending them. read more

Lamperti recently completed our extensive kitchen remodel; this was not a simple job, as it was based on an earlier design and had a number of different angles involved. They were quite flexible, working with other sub-contractors we had worked with previously, and extended their leverage on suppliers to move up deliveries and cut through various "problems" that came up along the way. Lamperti diligently prepared our house to contain the construction dust and were extremely considerate and pleasant to be with. We were gone for most of the work, but were back for the final couple of weeks. What a great team! I unreservedly would recommend Lamperti for any appropriate project. read more

Purchased a new Subzero appliance after reading positive reviews on Yelp. Staff was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Riggs Installation was purchased and assigned to handle the installation into my home. Somewhere along the line the delivery of the Subzero to Riggs ran into an unknown delay where they couldn't identify where the unit was. And this is why I'm writing this review! I called Lamperti to see about what had happened and this is what followed. Lamperti and Riggs both worked together immediately, the Subzero was tracked down, delivery and installation was made the following day, and communication with me was outstanding throughout. I can't tell you how refreshing it was not to be dismissed and to see the efforts made to insure the customer was taken care of. In my experience you would typically hear excuses and lack of concern or immediacy but not with these outfits. Well done, thank you and the Riggs team, you've definitely earned my respect and loyalty! read more

My first experience with Lamperti began as a spontaneous drop-in visit one weekend in June. I spoke with Lisa who was working in their office that morning. I learned a ton about cabinet design options and gained some sound advice as I considered all that was presented to me. Subsequently, I had a similar kind of chat with Jane -- one of Lamperti's designers, who ended up designing my entire kitchen. On that issue alone, Jane's new design in my 1020 square foot cottage offers far more useful drawer and cabinet space, despite the fact that I eliminated one long upper cabinet over the stove. I now have more useful cabinet space and the look is marvelous. The four key people who I worked with throughout the remodel process are Greg and Sean (owners), Jane (designer) and Cody, who is one of their on-site staff members. He's a perfectionist and easy to work with. I've watched Cody work through the entire remodel, always thinking of ways to bring an extraordinary quality of finish to every detail throughout the house. I enjoyed asking their opinions on design issues. Cody and Sean, who is Lamperti's onsite contractor, work very well together and have a sense of humor that makes the process that much more enjoyable. During this 6-month process Lamperti has provided me a detailed accounting of costs and timing. They've been dead-on all the way. Absolutely not one unpleasant surprise with regard to cost or timing. And the quality of their work is superlative. Only first-rate. And as for the cost-per-foot, I did a fair amount of research prior to jumping into the full remodel project. My estimations were, in fact and in some cases, slightly higher than Lamperti's quotes and final charges to me. All good, working with Lamperti in San Rafael. Not a single complaint. And as a successful creative director who's been in business of advertising and branding for over 25 years, clients know that I can be a tyrant with regard to quality of work. Best regards... Lamperti is absolutely the best in our area by far! We did a complete kitchen and bath tear down and total remodel (plus more work in our TV area) with them and they were outstanding. We had previously spent almost a year working with another local designer/builder husband/wife "team" who had years ago been "award winning". The other outfit was a mess! Completely disorganized, never on schedule but worse...lied to us repeatedly about start date and ordering cabinets etc. Finally after almost a year and thousands of dollars we dumped the other guy and it was the best move we did. We contacted Lamperti and Sean Kelly and his designer Jane were top notch. They listen and do what the homeowner wants. They stay in budget. They started and finished the job right on time. Their workers were courteous, clean and professional. Our home is older so when one or two unexpected construction issues arose Sean handled it perfectly and stayed in budget and time frame. I can go on and on but bottom line...Lamperti is who you want. Forget about anyone else in the area...they will waste your time and money. I plan on using Lamperti for any and all future projects I may have. read more

Lee and Sean and their team took our 60's kitchen down to the studs and completely rebuilt it. Excellent quality work. They collaborated with us on the entire design. We got exactly what we wanted - a modern kitchen with a great flow that easily allows 2 or 3 people to work together in a small space. We didn't want to block light from a side-of-house windows. Sean recommended a stainless exhaust fan that's flush with the ceiling - perfect. The granite was finished perfectly and installed with only three pieces covering an entire L-shaped counter. The lighting and electrical is exactly where we wanted it, and gives great light and convenience for counter-top appliances. I can't say enough about the quality of the collaboration. Lee kicked it off with some design ideas and drawings about some possible approaches, and worked with us to refine the design until it was what we wanted, within our budget. Can't recommend them enough - great team to work with. read more
