Ricky and his team were great to work with. He took our landscaping concept and came up with a creative plan. Knowing that we were going to make the front yard look good, we also wanted to spruce up the house. Ricky told us his team could paint as well. Ricky and his team work fast. Painting and full-on landscaping took less than two weeks to complete. And a day after completion, when an unexpected rainfall caused some of the decomposed granite to erode before it had a chance for the adhesive to fully set, Ricky sent workers back out to tamp it down and replace some of the material that had been washed away. Working fast had its upsides and downsides. Upsides being that going from concept to finished product went quickly, and the painting work was done with care. Downsides being that if you have specific plants in mind, you should make sure to have them on hand before the work starts. Ricky's usual nursery did not have some of the plants we wanted, and we had to scramble to source a few items from different nurseries quickly. Also, if you have specialized watering needs (i.e. working with a two-system timer for different types of plants), be sure to discuss it with Ricky before work begins. In all, Ricky was responsive to our concerns and took care of any issues in a timely way. And most importantly, the house and yard look beautiful! We have already received many compliments from neighbors and passersby on our new yard. read more

We hired Ariel Builders to replaced our 20 year kitchen floor. We are so pleased with their work from the moment I call, including the quality of the job they did. I highly recommend this company. I appreciate Sadia and Alex. Thank you once again. read more

I was unhappy with them. It felt like I was working with the shadiest of use care sale people. We agreed to a certain product and price. They came back saying they can't get the flooring product in question. They pushed hard to sell a lower quality product for more than our agreed to price. Eventually, the work was done - poorly. It was a struggle to get them to come back and fix the uneven flooring, etc. Rather than say "ok, let's fix the issue" I spent hours arguing with them. It was painful and NOT worth the hassle. I used them once and that was enough read more

Ricky was great! He was very responsive and provided great communication. They were able to execute the construction of my backyard limestone tile pavers. The results came out great. The only one thing I would have liked was more initiative for QAQC. Sometimes you get lucky and everything goes smoothly without an issue. Unfortunately that didn't happen on this project. There were some setbacks during the construction and certain items that were missed but I did appreciate Ariel builders owning them and making the fixes to ensure a great result. I would work with Ariel builders again. read more

Lawrence, I believe was his name, was absolutely amazing. Answered all my questions and was able to get me scheduled for an appointment today, Friday June 14th at 12pm. I was informed that I would be getting a confirmation call from their scheduler a day before. I received the confirmation call on Tuesday, since the company was going to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. The lady I spoke to was wonderful and confirmed my appointment with her. Fast forward Friday, I received a call from the gentleman that was supposed to be here at 12pm at 11:28am. I unfortunately did not recognize the number and I was in a meeting with work. No message was left. At 11:29am, one minute late, a different number calls, unfortunately I am still in a meeting with work, but this time they leave a message. Eugene stated that even though I confirmed my appointment for 12pm, they will not be driving out to my house for the consultation because I am not answering my phone. (They called me once!) I called in and spoke to Lawrence again, and he was speechless. He did not understand why Ricky, the landscaper who was providing the consultation, did not stop by my house and he had to drive past my house to get back to the office. Lawrence was very upfront with me and told me he did not understand why Eugene was doing this, except for that the General Manager was out and now he was in charge. He asked if I would like to re-schedule but I told him that I was not interested in a company that can not uphold to a "confirmed" appointment and would not show up due to a single missed call. I would have loved to seen what Ricky would have recommended for my yard, but apparently I will never get that chance, since Ricky and Eugene are running the show while the General Manager is on vacation. read more

This post is long overdue. I had Ricky come over to the house and I explained what I had in mind. He helped me with a design and gave me a good deal. The workers were professional, on time, and the results were amazing. Ask for Ricky, he is patient, reliable, and professional. I had pavers installed in 3-4 days. read more

We just had our roof replaced and a gate reconstructed by Ariel Builders. Ricky was our project manager and let me tell you, he was on point! He was very professional and extremely responsive to all our questions and needs. He kept us informed along every step of the way. He coordinated the building permits, roofers, gate contractors and had the entire project done in roughly 4 days. We so appreciated working with such a professional and honest hardworking guy. We would not hesitate in working with Ricky and Ariel again. read more

I hired Ariel Builders for stucco repairs on my house. Levy came out, detailed the three-step process required to properly fix stucco and ensure there would be no more problems because it would be done properly. I know that many workers try to get away with one step, and that is why my house was having problems with broken and peeling stucco in the first place. He talked about how this would take about a week, as each step needs to cure or dry in between. He quoted me a fairly high figure, but since Ariel Builders was the only company that said they would do the correct time-intensive process to properly apply stucco, I thought it was worth the cost. Less than half a day after starting the stucco repairs, they informed me that they were done and would be back to paint the next day. I was incredibly confused, as this was not at all the work we agreed to (you cannot apply the three step process in this short of time). Levy was combative when I called him about this, saying they never agreed to that. "This is how we've done it for 20 years," he says. Well that's not what he said they would do, and not the kind of work I paid a premium for. I paid for a level of craftsmanship, materials, and care that is nowhere near the hasty work that was done. Beware of what they promise, and get every detail of the work in writing. As I write this, I'm looking at the portions of stucco that dried a different color because they had to patch spots they neglected to do the first day, then applied paint directly to the wet stucco. Horrible job and a combative attitude. Extremely disappointed. read more

I had Ariel remodel my kitchen. My kitchen was a mess. I would not even let people see it. This is the second project they have done for me. The first project was my backyard. It came out beautifully, so I trusted them to do the kitchen. I really like Ricky because he is so responsive and easy to work with. This project took a lot of coordination and Ricky was always available. He and his dad did a beautiful job. I highly recommend them as a company. I would hire them again! read more

I requested a quote on building a deck and this rude man named Lawrence called and was trying to find the location on Topanga Canyon Boulevard. He insisted that he did and I was mistaken then said he couldn't service and hung up. Are you kidding me. Nothing like getting mansplained on your address read more

Update: The owner of Ariel Builders reached out to us and addressed our concerns. In fact, he came over to our home to see first hand our aforementioned issues. He assured us he that each item outlined would be fixed and remedied in a timely fashion. We were concerned at first, but within 3 days he had someone come out and fix our tile, smooth out the was and put the finishing touches that had been an eyesore from the previous team. All and all, we are happy with the end result. We wish this would have been our first experience but nonetheless are happy we arrived to smooth finish. My backyard was a mess, so much dry dirt, dead grass and plants. Ricky came by, gave me a great quote and two weeks later his team started on the job. There was zero slacking and they just did what was asked. Demo'd on Tuesday, materials in on Weds and completed on Thursday. Now I have a yard for me kids to enjoy throughout the summer months. Recommend highly, A+++++. Thanks Ricky and team, I will never hesitate to call on you for more jobs. read more

I can't comment on their work - but I had one of the strangest experiences with this company. I called to get an estimate and they spend like 10 minutes asking me detailed questions about the job and scheduled an appointment to give an estimate. They then called me two days later to confirm the appointment, then texted me the next day to confirm the appointment (which I confirmed). They then called me the day of the appointment to confirm it, which I did. Then they never showed up or responded to my texts. All of that to waste my time - super weird. read more

Rick and his crew did a good job to redo our front and back yard. we enjoyed working with Rick a lot. He is very professional. He understood our needs. Based on our preference, he provided his estimate and offered his opinion/solution for us to consider. He did not push us to make our decision. Once the yard work got started, Rick was always be responsive and supportive. His taste and idea of mixing the rocks with different colors definitely a plus to the yard work. He post project support is excellent. We later asked him to adjust the irrigation system due to issues found (it sometimes takes time to test out everything). He immediately sent his expert in and fixed the issue and also checked to make sure everything running smoothly. we will definitely reach out to Rick for future projects. read more

I just wanted to say a little about the company Ariel Builders. The owner came out to my House to provide me with an Estimate for flooring. Honestly I don't really trust many contractors. But this guy Tony was a cut above anyone. Who's ever come to my house. Not only did he know his craft. But he was courtesy and polite. Showed me numerous samples of some great flooring. But provided me with the ensight of how the New Vinyl plank flooring would be great for my home. And the cost was very doable. Excellent work and quality from a Company that people should definitely reach out to. For any kind of construction work. They do it all. But what was most important was the Quality of there work. Thank you Tony and your crew for keeping there word and doing a fantastic job. As a Marine we appreciate Quality over Quantity anytime ! read more

After waiting for an hour and a half I called the office and Mary said she would call Tony, find out and call me back with his status. No one called me back. I had the best experience with Ariel Builders Inc and I owe it all to Owen Katzaf. After interviewing several parties for a patio area makeover, Owen was the one person with a clear vision of what would really make the area look beautiful. He explained the pros and cons of other potential options and told me he would go with whatever I decided. I went with his vision and it's absolutely stunning! Owen also has a great team of professionals who show up on the days they say they will. I also very much appreciate Owen's patience and professional manner when I asked him what seems like hundreds of questions. I cannot thank him enough for the incredible transformation and for being such a stellar person to work with. If Owen is handling your project, you are in excellent hands. read more

I just left this review on google. Since they were very mean and loud over the phone, i really have to do this here as well. I kept receiving "job estimate" calls and texts from this company for past 5 days none stop. They were looking for some one named Alex. I explained them very politely that i am not the Alex please remove my number from your list. Then i replied "end" to their text message and got confirmation that I am unsubscribed from their list. Next business day again i keep receiving texts amd calls. Again very politely asked them to remove my number from their list. Guess what, i got another call. Asked for manager. Eugene told me that they have no manager or owner on the filed and working without them. He started yelling at me. Supposedly i asking to much question. And hung up on me ))) i called them back the assistant manager Terry (girl) picked up and with the same attitude asking me why am I calling. All i want is my number to be removed from their call list. I am contacting SEC. Sorry read more
