Had new rims that I had purchased online put on my vehicle, replacing the stock ones. Customer service desk was prompt to welcome me & were helpful in assessing my needs - both verbally & after a visit outside to my vehicle. They didn't "upsell" me at all, which I was pleasantly surprised by. The young man who swapped my rims/tires did a great job & was very friendly. However at some point, he was pulled away by his peers to work on another vehicle that had been brought in by a tow truck. It's a very busy garage....my vehicle was left unattended, raised on the lift, for about 30-mins before he was able to return to my project. All in all the process took about 2-hours from arrival to leaving. Though I was pleased, it was unfortunate that the workers seem to be pulled in multiple different for for directions, unable to focus entirely on 1-vehicle at a time. read more

The oil change was performed incorrectly, which resulted in damage that I then had to deal with at my own expense. What has been even more disappointing is the way the situation was handled afterward. Despite bringing the issue to their attention and requesting that they take responsibility, they have refused to provide a refund or adequately address the damage caused by their work. Mistakes can happen in any business, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are corrected. Instead of standing behind their service, Arlington Auto & Tire has left me with repair costs and frustration. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop and would encourage others to carefully document any work performed on their vehicle. Been here a couple of times A simple oil change on a Saturday morning. In and out no problem there ever but this time 3.5hrs with both problems. I asked to have a rotation done on my tires $40 additional hmm ok @ Firestone it's included. I left realized they didn't give me a hard copy but now it sounded like my front left brake was squeaking all the way home so I went back on Sunday Michael test drove it with me he said it sounded like bearings?? A 2022 Tucson really ? They put it on the rack and apparently left front driver side lug nuts were not tightened I was pissed to say the least, just thankful as it could've gotten real bad real fast. Total bill was $152.00 when I called to talk to Moose he was not made aware of it at all on Tuesday when I called. He apologized and let me know he'd get back with me after he spoke with whomever, never got back. I called 2 days later oh yeah sorry Nina was supposed to get back with you. We decided to fully reimburse you the $152. I recommended possibly test done on mechanic who did the car ? Maybe a 5 point safety check test drive always ? I have used this shop in the past for tires and inspections- never again. I wondered why the techs blocked my vision to my car and jacked it up after the inspection. One day later i notice my hood release cable is broken and the hood cannot be opened. Yes, it happens but to hide it from me is dishonest. Never in my life have I ever had to wait so long for a tire change. Came for a change of the 2 front tires aswell as an inspection. I was there for 3 hours no joke, numerous people walked in and out before me. I had to practically ask and push until they would finally get my car out of the shop. Employee almost seemed annoyed after I had asked a 2nd time how soon it would be done? He said another 15 in , 15 minutes for the inspection. almost hour and half later I am finally am able to leave. I price-shopped on the phone for mounting 4 new tires. These folks beat the price of competitors hands down. Mounting price, already significantly better than competition, then also included TPMS check and disposal/recycling of old tires... even though I didn't purchase tires from them. The competition didn't. (P.S. I wished I'd purchased tires from them, as it turns out... there prices were just as good as the "discount" online sources, and it would have been TONS less work for me.) From phone interactions to assistance at the front desk, everyone was friendly and helpful, and got my tires changed super-fast. Was in a bit of a pinch as my car had some trouble on a weekend and my primary mechanic was not available. Found myself through the doors of this establishment and what a mistake. Not only did their price estimate change multiple times, with a range of over $1k from initial price to final price, but so did their estimated time of completion on my vehicle by over 24 hours. The only helpful aspect of this process was how they kept me updated frequently as the demands to fix my vehicle constantly was changing. Stay far away from this place!! They are a bunch of scam artists. We had won a free basic oil change and we where hustled after finding out they gave us an upgrade without even talking to us. The manager of the garage was so rude it was just so unpleasant. They also damaged under her car where the oil change took place by not putting the cover back on right. This was my first ever experience with Arlington Auto. When I requested an appointment online, I was told they would give me a call to confirm. Instead I was reached out to through email and luckily I do check mine so make sure you check your emails when requesting an appointment! They needed me there at a different time and told me I could come in the next day which was Tuesday. When one of my family members went on Monday, I asked them to make sure that my appointment for Tuesday was still set. Good thing I had my family ask because they didn't have an appointment for me the next day and weren't aware that I had been talking to someone through email. Really confusing already. I go in for the appointment and the woman on front desk was very rude and condescending to both my boyfriend and I. She completely ignored me even though it was my car and only spoke to him. We said we were there for an inspection and she very rudely said, "go around the back", so my boyfriend and I drove around the back and parked in a parking spot. We still weren't sure what to do so we went back inside and asked what we were supposed to do again. Again, very rudely she huffed and said, "I told you to go around back and leave your keys in the car", she did not instruct us to leave the keys in the car but we again went back outside, still confused and too nervous to ask the woman for any other help. We parked right outside one of the garages and waited for a mechanic to come out and direct us. My boyfriend was so upset with the front desk lady, he started calling other mechanics while we waited to see if we could take our business elsewhere. Finally, a very kind mechanic came out and said "can I help you guys with anything?", we explained that we weren't sure what to do but that we had an appointment. He knew of the appointment and took us in pretty quickly. We dealt with another mechanic while I was paying and he was super polite too. Im glad that we didn't have to deal with the person at front desk again. I would've left a 4 star review but the woman at the front desk really added stress and confusion when there didn't need to be. She could've given more explanation instead of blunt rude answers, on top of the confusion with the appointment through email. If I could do a negative review I would. I called ahead to do a photo inspection and they told me to show upits a first come first serve. When I arrived they told me it's to overcast. Three days later I arrived again and was told one lady was ahead of me when she pulls her silver car up to pull in the spot. After I waited over a half hour I seen a man pull up behind her and park. I called the store from the parking lot and asked why I was skipped they told me I'll have to wait she's getting two cars done. Thanks for wasting my time TWICE! I will never be using this company again or referring it to anyone else. In the past I've had really good experiences with their shop even recommending it to various people. I will never make that mistake again. Earlier last month my car had been totaled with one month left of my breathalyzer in it. The removal and reinstall process was annoying but everything with Intoxalock is annoying/frustrating for both myself and the shop. My removal was $150 last month. I called this morning to set up an appointment and asked for the cost the man on the other end told me $600. Which is not true I had a removal last month $150. When they finally came in my contact, Adam, told me he appreciated my patience and would "take care" of me with the pricing. Well Adam is so darn generous that he took off a whole $5 on a $970 order. Went to a local shop, but they said there is a chance they will scratch my new rim, and Arlington tire will have no issues. Well, after waiting 3 hrs, the guy trying to replace the wrong side tire, and him complaining non stop about how heavy the wheel is (its a compact car), i finally got the car back. With a scratched rim. I posted a review about it on their website, the manager replied asking to call her. I did, she just hung up on me. I tried again later, ended up talking to her, she sounded like should could not care any less. I wasn't looking for any compensation, and stated so, was just super annoyed. Never heard from her again. Well, today i tried to switch my wheels to winters. Guess what-that same guy is power tool happy. The studs were torqued so bad, I couldn't get them out with an impact wrench. A gigantic breaker bar and a pipe finally made it happen. Luckily i was home and not on a side of the road. I went to Arlington auto to get my car inspected twice 2/1/24 and 2/3/24. Both times they told me there inspection machine was down. I left the second time and after about an hour I called and asked if the inspection machine was working. They said yes and got me right in. After they looked over the car they told me my 2 control arms in the front had to be replaced at the cost of $899.00 and my car wouldn't pass inspection without them done. They didn't know that I had an extended warranty and that I would have to bring it to the dealer to get it fixed. I brought it to Healy Brothers Ford in Poughkeepsie. The mechanic sent me a video of my control arms and said they were fine and I would pass inspection. At all costs please avoid this garage unless you have money to burn. I hate that it is very difficult to find a garage you can trust!!!! read more

DO NOT GET YOUR INSPECTION HERE!!! Went in for an inspection. Everyone was great until they tried telling me my car needed two new tires in order to pass inspection. I asked to see the tread reading using the tool the measure it. SEE PHOTOS OF EMPLOYEE DOUBLE CHECKING INSPECTOR...Never showed anything less then 3/32 and it has to be below 2/32 to fail. The inspector would not admit he was wrong and failed my car. I will give credit to the manager of the establishment because he came out and did the measurement and saw it should have passed. Once the first failed inspection was complete the manager reinspected it and passed. This should have never happened and wasted more time. Reading other reviews it seems like they have a practice of requiring unneeded repairs in order to get your car to pass. read more

Brought my wheelchair van in for an oil change. When I picked it up the muffler was very loud so I went back and the mechanic said the muffler is old and rusted and something must have come loose. They gave me a quote of $1395.00 to replace. As I was driving it across the street to my regular mechanic for a second opinion the check engine light went on. Turns out Arlington Auto crushed a few things underneath and Aside from the muffler needing replacement, there is a vapor leak. They are incompetent lying bastards. Zero stars is too many. read more

It says it on the oil cap!!!!! DO NOT GO TO ARLINGTON AUTO IN POUGHKEEPSIE! A friend of mine is a certified NYS auto inspector and I had to send him in with my car before they passed me. I thought buying 4 new tires from Arlington Auto & Tire and having them installed would be a simple process. No. They put on 4 tires and I left. In the half hour it took to get home the driver's side rear tire was flat and the front one was low. Called immediately and was told to put on the spare and bring it back. No. Not the least bit helpful and blamed me from the beginning. "You must have run over something." This is Friday. Called another company to put on the spare and went back Monday. This is when they thought of the lie to explain why the tire was flat. It was my fault of course. I have brass valve stem extenders on the tires to make it easier to put in air. According to them, 3 of the 4 were leaking because the gaskets were missing (lie, no gasket in this part). After googling, I found a way to test them and none of them were leaking. Googled some more and found NYS DMV has a Vehicle Safety Complaint Report (VS-35) you can file against repair shops, dealers, etc. They give you a little space to explain your complaint, I attached a pdf file 15 pages (mostly pictures). I had to involve 2 other companies: one to put on the spare and the other to check their work. They failed. They replaced three valve stems. They didn't replace the one on the DS rear tire, which was obvious to the garage that checked because it was shorter, older than the others, torn, and leaking air. Also, the air pressures in the tires had to be adjusted. First contact: March 12, Complaint filed with DMV: March 17 You have 90 days to file and it must be done before you file in Small Claims Court (if it comes to that). Got back the extra $260.43 I had to spend. read more
